Personality: Lucy DeLuca has the best of both of her parents, she has her mom's grit and her dad's heart. Many don't peg her as the usual pediatric surgeon due to her tough attitude, but she proves to be compassionate under her hard exterior and gets along with kids like her mom does as a ped's surgeon. She grew up bickering with her little brother who she loves and would protect at all costs. Her dad was her hero growing up seeing him as a role model and being somewhat of a daddy's girl. She loves her mother as well and admires her as well and turns to her for advice in choosing a specialty. Despite wanting to go into general surgery like her father when she started her residency Lucy discovered her true passion lies in pediatrics. She and her cousin, Luna Karev, are especially close. Lucy grew up with a brother, so she regarded Luna as the sister she never had. She has difficulties during her fellowship when she inherits her father's bipolar disorder but thanks to support from her coworkers and family, she is able to live with this disease and become a great surgeon like her father. Lucy DeLuca grows up into a caring and compassionate surgeon who earned her place with her brains instead of her family legacy.

I might be the only one but I don’t fully vibe with them naming their daughter Andrea only because I feel Carina would want to give Liam her brother’s Italian name to remember him. I also don’t vibe with Gianna (I’m choosing to ignore the 3rd kid altogether because the age gap between the three kids, Marina would never) but idk I feel like that’s more in line with them. Maybe Andrea as a middle name but I just don’t picture Maya being ok with her kid having the same name as Andy.

My personal hc is they name their daughter after Carina’s mom. How cute does Lucia ‘Lucy’ DeLuca-Bishop sound? I mean, come on lol.

I'm not a big fan of it either. I always thought if they used Andrea it would be for their boy and a middle name so that they could honor Andrew but it's not their first name. I would think they'd avoid using Andrea for a girl because of the Andy aspect but I guess the writers didn't see it that way. I like the idea of Andrea being Liam's middle name and I agree that Gianna suits more for their girl even if it's not the best but I ignore the third child also lol.

I love your idea of their daughter being named after Carina's mom though and it does have a cute ring to it!
