joey « @desiccation » hung on the phone;  joey hadn't even noticed the other killer was there. he was too busy trying to keep himself entertained. something like an obstacle course he had plotted out, over a car here, a log there. to say he wasn't constantly on the move would insinuate the observer was blind. he hated sitting still for too long and while vaulting over what was once a car, now crushed beyond recognition, he nearly crashes into the dark clad figure. eyes go wide as he catches himself in a roll and is back on his feet just as quick. "fuck, man! give a guy some warning next time!"

Hidden away from any prying eyes, there Ghostface was, watching, observing even, the seemly quieter member of the Legion. It wasn't the first time such thing had happened, by now he came to know and notice more about the other than Joey was even aware of. So many times, he stood there, shrouded by the shadows that clinged to him like a cloak made of eternal darkness, like a reaper waiting for the time for his next soul to be claimed by its scythe.
Except death wasn't what he had in mind, not for the moment at least. However the time to make his presence known had come. Ever so quietly slipping away from his spot.

He was far from disappointed when he managed to not crash into him after appearing nearly from thin air. Ghostface clicked his tongue in feign disapproval. " And where would the fun be in doing that ? " The amusement and interest behind hazel hues hidden away by the hollow orbits of the ghostly mask, making his intentions almost obscure. " At least I didn't ruin your best time. " A hum, a tilt of his head following the noise. " A couple days ago you made it here far quicker. " He pondered, deliberately letting it be known that he had been watching him.

You got it! Had a friend over so I've been writing this on and off all day lol. Bit of a strange one but I hope you like it <3
Ghosty's Little Secret
Pining, 630 words
Danny's attention to detail is more trained than the other killers. He's spent so much time studying people and what they do, but some people are more interesting for him to look at than others. He's had an eye on Leon for a while now since he joined the Fog, and his interest has taken an affectionate turn.
The way he really feels about Leon doesn't show through since he can't get close to him too easily, and the others would certainly be suspicious of him communicating with Leon outside of trials. He wouldn't dare to let anybody see him stalking the former agent through the trees, far from the campfire that serves as his comfort away from the killers. That would be shameful, Danny knows it. But he isn't one to feel all that much shame.
Rather than hurting him, Danny much prefers the thought of his blade cutting through Leon's clothes and stopping there, revealing what perfect skin must be hiding underneath. It's the only thing he thinks about.
At a point, Danny gets impatient and finds stalking Leon from afar is much too unsatisfying and doesn't satiate the need he has for him. Survivors are never alone at the camp, but it's always possible that they'll be removed enough from the others that they won't notice anyone go missing until they're gone. Perhaps the fog took them while they weren't paying attention.
They'd never know.
But Danny doesn’t want to do that to him. He wants Leon to want him just as badly as he wants Leon. He wants Leon to know he’s watching. With deliberate slip-ups and a finger to his masked lips, he signals to Leon to be quiet and come to him, but he is ignored. Time and time again, Danny is revealed out of his shroud with no return, nothing to make it up to him. Leon, please, he thinks desperately.
It’s a long time before Leon gives in when he realizes Danny won’t go away until he’s satisfied; he must admit that it feels good to be paid attention to. He starts to wonder what on earth the killer could possibly want from him to sit and watch him all the time, but the attention is intriguing, and he wants more of it.
Eventually, Leon steps away from the campfire and into the dark woods, approaching Danny with confidence. "Do you need something?" he asks, and the Ghostface stands at just his height, but it seems as though he's nine feet tall. Leon is more aroused by curiosity than scared of the killer. "May as well tell me."
Danny, being as socially inept as he is, does just that. He tells Leon about how much he wants to just talk to him—while that's not the whole truth, he doesn't want to scare Leon away. Not yet. Not ever. Does he? No. No.
Suddenly, he pulls Leon towards him, breaths heavy under his mask as he looks into Leon's frightened eyes. "Take it off," he demands, the survivor panicking since he doesn't know what he means. "Look me in the eyes, Leon, nobody else can."
After a moment of hesitation, Leon touches the chin of Danny's mask and lifts it up, revealing a face that not even the Entity has seen before. Leon doesn't know what to say. He doesn't know what to think. "Why?"
Danny doesn't answer him. He touches a finger to Leon's lips, hush, and smiles a little for the first time since he's been in the Entity's realm. "This is between us, okay?" Leon nods, and Danny slides his mask back down, cloaking himself once again before disappearing into the shadows.
Leon goes back to camp and lies about where he's been. Maybe he trusts Danny too much now.
