WHO CARES!!!!!!!!!!!!!

so what originally got me into twin peaks was an article i found on gordon cole regarding the model of hearing aids he has and i sensed something so completely neurodivergent about the concept of someone looking for the prop they used to see if it was accurate to gordon's degree of hearing loss i HAD to know more. but what they mentioned about twice in the article is how gordon could be faking his deafness to put the moves on shelley johnson because his hearing aids are for someone with mild to moderate hearing loss. (which i would love to say he is faking it slightly just because im a freak when it comes to realism in my writing but for this im gonna believe in a sweet and romantic coincidence right.)

okay so my main point which is very anticlimactic is that suuuuure mr gordon cole could be faking his deafness to a certain extent but if he isn't!!!! it would check out that the hearing aids are for someone without such severe hearing loss like cole because he tends to be loud!!!!!!!!!!! often!!!! which if the hearing aids were fitting for his degree of deafness he wouldnttt be. right??? so its notttt that he's not that deaf its that he doesn't have the correct prescription!!!!!!!!!

anyways.

tldr; the reason gordon cole tends to yell is because of the fact that his hearing aids are not tailored to his needs!!!!

also i think its very funny how accurate some of his interactions are,, especially when he tells cooper they should use truman's office right after he asked because i cant count on one hand the amount of times ive had something like that with my mom who is very much hard of hearing okok this is dragging on nowwww
