Hashimpura Massacre
It was the 22nd of May 1987, Ramzan and Friday, just like today, when 'secular' India's most shameful and horrendous custodial kil-ling took place at #Hashimpura. That day, after the Friday prayers, in the midst of the ongoing Meerut riots, some 600-700 Muslims..

were dragged from their homes by army personnel, CRPF, PAC, and police and were made to sit on the footpath near Gulmarg Talkies. — The young and the strong among them were chosen, loaded in a PAC truck URU 1493, and taken to Upper Ganga Canal in Murad Nagar..
and later to Makanpur in Ghaziabad only to be shot cold-blooded and thrown into the canal. — This was totally an anti-muslim crime by the state, though the documented facts are known to everyone, three points are worth mentioning:
A) On May 23, 1987, at Meerut Circuit House, the next day after the massæcre, there was a meeting attended by Veer Bahadur Singh, the CM, Daya Shankar, the DGP, SK Mukherjee, the IG, Nasim Zaidi, the Ghaziabad DM, Vibhuti Narain, the Ghaziabad SP and other senior officials.
There were discussions that can the bodies of 42 be thrown away in the canal just like Malyana, never to be found? Could the 3 survivors under police protection also die? Would anyone expect justice from them? #HashimpuraMassacre
B) One of the survivors Zulfiqar Nasir had a press conference in Delhi with Syed Shahabuddin and Subramanyam Swami, narrating the nightmare he went through. There was a shameless press brief the next day addressed by Meerut DM RS Kaushik, SSP Girdhari Sharma, nd frmr SP VKB Nair.
Not only did they claim that no massacre happened at Hashimpura but also that no one with the name of Zulfiqar ever lived in Hashimpura. Shouldn't they have been punished too for propagating blatant lies. #HashimpuraMassacre
3) There were three 'Sarkari Musalmans' sitting at the vital position throughout the investigation. Just to show the Indianness in them, they did very little to ensure Justice. Syed Khalid Rizvi, who headed the CID failed to link the role of Major Satish Kaushik whose brother..
Prabhat Kumar, a RSS terrœrist, was killed the previous day; who was present at Hashimpura during the whole incident. Mr Nasim Zaidi who later became chief Election commissioner failed to act responsibly and tell the outside world about the heinous crimes.
And Ms Mohsina Kidwai, the then MP of Meerut who later became the General Secretary of AICC, not only refused to ensure medical care to one of the injured survivors but kept silent about the gory crimes.
— Hashimpura, like the Bihar killings of 1946, Nellie of 1983, Bhagalpur of 1989, Delhi Pogrom of 1984 and 2020, Muzaffarnagar of 2013, Gujarat pogrom of 2002, and numerous others remain a disgraceful instance of the merciless and barbaric use of brute state force..
and a spineless, politically expedient government lying prostate before its own men - The Killers. Hashimpura is not just an instance, it's a phenomenon that goes deep into the mindset of Indian society. Justice is awaited. #HashimpuraMassacre

"I wish the dead could have eyes for once, they could look into the Indian State with tears and anger and say that irrespective of any political party at the government, you have been inherently anti-muslim"

[ad_1] By Poonam Sharma In a scandal that has rocked India’s law enforcement and governance, the involvement of Karnataka’s Director General of Police (DGP) and his family in an elaborate gold smuggling racket has exposed a dark nexus of power, privilege, and crime. The shocking revelations have sent ripples through the police force, raising urgent questions about accountability and misuse of authority at the highest levels. The plot unfolded in Ghaziabad, where a seemingly routine letter landed at the Senior Superintendent of Police’s (SSP) office. The letter claimed to be from the “Sultanate of Dhamal Oman,” requesting VIP treatment and security cover for a visiting high commissioner. Such requests aren’t uncommon, but something about this one felt off. The SSP, suspecting foul play, ordered a deeper probe — and what emerged was a disturbing tale of deception. The so-called “high commissioner” was, in reality, a conman who had masterfully duped police officials, parading around the city under the guise of diplomatic immunity. What made this case even more scandalous was his alleged connection to the Karnataka DGP’s daughter, a well-known Kannada film actress. Investigations revealed that she was using her father’s influential position to run a gold smuggling ring, exploiting security privileges and evading scrutiny. Over the span of just three months, the actress made a staggering 27 trips between India and Dubai, raising red flags among intelligence agencies. Each journey saw her slipping through airport security without inspection, shielded by her VIP status. Behind the glamour of her celebrity life was a carefully crafted smuggling operation, allegedly orchestrated with the help of her father’s clout. The racket was simple yet effective: gold was smuggled into India in bulk, camouflaged by official escorts and police convoys that no one dared to question. Each trip reportedly netted her up to ₹50 lakh, with the total smuggled gold worth crores. As the investigation deepened, the DGP’s role came under scrutiny — was he complicit, or merely a pawn in his daughter’s grand scheme? Police sources revealed that the DGP’s daughter capitalized on her father’s position, ensuring that airport checks were waived off while she moved unchecked through VIP corridors. Shockingly, the DGP himself allegedly provided police escorts for her movements, a privilege she used to run her illicit enterprise. When confronted with the evidence, the DGP was sent on immediate leave, while investigators probed the depths of the conspiracy. The actress was arrested, and a massive smuggling network was unearthed — one that extended far beyond just one influential family. The fallout has left the Karnataka police force reeling, with accusations of corruption and cover-ups tarnishing its reputation. This case shows a harsh reality — the abuse of power and privilege must be brought to an end. The preferential treatment given to high-ranking officials and their families creates a breeding ground for corruption and criminal activities. Law enforcement agencies must ensure that every individual, regardless of their status or connections, is held accountable under the same legal framework. It is imperative that these unwarranted privileges are stripped away, ensuring that justice is blind and no one stands above the law. This case is more than just a crime story; it’s a glaring example of how power can be misused when those meant to uphold the law believe they are above it. As investigations continue, the nation watches closely, demanding justice and a thorough cleansing of the rot within the system. The question that lingers is not just about guilt or innocence but about the cracks in a system that allowed this brazen abuse of power to go unchecked for so long. Will this be a wake-up call, or just another headline that fades into obscurity? Only time will tell. Last Updated:December 07, 2024, 20:56 ISTRawat, a native of Rajasthan, duped three families in the state, said Nimish Patil, Deputy Commissioner of Police (trans-Hindon).Indraraj Rawat has been charged with impersonation, cheating, and house trespassing, police said.A day after a man was arrested here for allegedly posing as the long-lost son of two different families — one in Ghaziabad and another in Uttarakhand, police on Saturday said the accused duped at least seven more families in other states using the same story.Out of the seven families, police have identified two families and are trying to find out deatils of five others, officials said.A total of nine families from six states — Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, and Uttarakhand — fell victim to accused Indraraj Rawat’s deception, they said.Rawat, a native of Rajasthan, duped three families in the state, said Nimish Patil, Deputy Commissioner of Police (trans-Hindon)."Rawat had lived with at least nine families over the years, convincing them with a fabricated story of being a long-lost son who had been kidnapped as a child. Police have identified four such families, and investigations are on to find out five other families he may have similarly deceived," said Patil.Rawat has been charged with impersonation, cheating, and house trespassing, police said.The case came to light last month when Rawat, posing as Raju, approached Khoda police station on November 24, claiming he was kidnapped 31 years ago at the age of seven. According to his story, he was abducted by three men in a tempo while walking home from school with his sister in Sahibabad’s Shaheed Nagar Colony.Rawat told police that the kidnappers took him to Jaisalmer, Rajasthan, where he was kept in a room and forced to work as a shepherd, enduring physical abuse and being shackled at night.He claimed that a Delhi-based businessman, who saw his plight, took pity on him, brought him to Ghaziabad and left him at the border. With police’s help, Rawat was accepted by a local family, the Tularams, who believed him to be their missing son.However, police investigations soon revealed discrepancies in Rawat’s account. Upon further probe, they discovered that his real name is Indraraj Rawat and that he has a history of criminal activity."In 2021, Rawat had stayed with a family in Rawatsar, Rajasthan, pretending to be a distant relative, before stealing from them and fleeing. He was later arrested, but after serving a short jail sentence and being released on bail, he continued with his method of deception."In 2023, the accused lived with a family in Sikar, Rajasthan, where he assumed the identity of their missing son, Pankaj. He later moved to Dehradun, where he spent four months with another family, claiming to be their son Monu," the DCP said.His travels also took him to Bhatinda in Punjab, Jaisalmer in Rajasthan, and Sirsa in Haryana, where he convinced families that he was their long-lost child, said the officer.A serial thief, Rawat was abandoned by his own family in 2005 after being fed up of constant complaints about his petty thefts, according to police. He initially lived with several of his relatives for a few months before starting his spree to dupe other families in 2021, they added."Rawat’s modus operandi involved using emotionally charged, fabricated stories to win the sympathy and trust of families, often those who had missing children, making his deceptions more convincing."Once accepted into these homes, he would live a comfortable life, free from the need to work, while secretly stealing valuable goods from his hosts before disappearing when he felt his secret might be exposed," said the DCP.During interrogation, Rawat admitted that after being removed from his family in 2005, he worked as a labourer in fairs, but his habit of theft continued, officials said.Police are now working to piece together his full criminal history, including his movements and activities from 2005 to 2021, and are investigating whether there are additional families that fell victim to his fake story.Rawat has been arrested and is currently in judicial custody. Police investigations are on to uncover the full extent of his deceptive activities, said the officer.(This story has not been edited by News18 staff and is published from a syndicated news agency feed - PTI)Location :Ghaziabad, IndiaNews india Man Who Posed As Long-Lost Son Duped 9 Families In 6 States: UP Police atOptions = 'key' : '6c396458fda3ada2fbfcbb375349ce34', 'format' : 'iframe', 'height' : 60, 'width' : 468, 'params' : ;

Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi to Meet Victims' Families in Sambhal Amid Prohibitory Orders
Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi are set to visit Sambhal, Uttar Pradesh, today, despite the district administration's ban on outsiders entering the area. The visit comes days after violence erupted in the region, leaving four people dead and causing widespread unrest. The district administration had imposed restrictions on entry into Sambhal, citing the ongoing sensitivity of the situation.
The violence in Sambhal began on November 24 after a controversial survey of the Shahi Jama Masjid, triggered by a petition claiming that the site once housed a Hindu temple. This survey led to massive protests, including stone-pelting, gunfire, and arson, primarily from members of the Muslim community. In response, the district administration issued prohibitory orders and imposed a ban on outsiders entering Sambhal until December 10, fearing further escalation.
Despite the restrictions, Rahul Gandhi, along with five other Congress MPs from Uttar Pradesh, is determined to visit the district to meet the families of the violence victims. According to sources, the Congress delegation plans to travel by road from Delhi and will attempt to cross the borders of neighboring districts, such as Ghaziabad, Amroha, and Bulandshahr, to reach Sambhal. The local administration has already instructed authorities in these districts to prevent the entry of the delegation by stopping them at district borders.
On Tuesday, Sambhal District Magistrate Rajendra Pensiya wrote to the police in neighbouring districts, urging them to stop the Congress leaders from entering. He emphasized that until December 10, any outsiders, social organizations, or public representatives could not enter the district without prior approval. The administration's decision aims to maintain peace and prevent any more disturbances following the violent clashes.
In response, Congress leaders have rallied in support of the visit. Uttar Pradesh in-charge of the Congress, Avinash Pande, appealed to the public to join the delegation in large numbers. "A Congress delegation led by Rahul Gandhi will leave for Sambhal to meet the families of the victims and support them in their struggle for justice," Pande said in a post on X (formerly Twitter).
Meanwhile, a forensic investigation into the violence site uncovered troubling findings. Police recovered six empty cartridges marked "made in Pakistan" and another from the USA. These discoveries have raised serious concerns, with local police promising a thorough investigation to determine the source of the ammunition used in the violence.
The visit by Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi is expected to draw attention to the violence and the need for justice, as the Congress leaders push for accountability and an end to the ongoing tensions in Sambhal.

[ad_1] Ghaziabad- A woman has been arrested for repeatedly filing false allegations of rape, gang-rape, and kidnapping against her husband, who was previously her live-in partner, and his friends. Police officials said her latest accusation was proven false, and she had changed her statements multiple times in previous cases. Her husband, Vikas Tyagi, is already in jail based on one of her earlier complaints. According to the police, the woman had filed three First Information Reports (FIRs) with contradictory statements. In June last year, she accused Tyagi of raping her under the pretext of marriage and causing her miscarriage by assaulting her. However, she later retracted her claim before a magistrate, stating that their relationship was consensual and her miscarriage was due to medical reasons. In August, she filed another complaint, alleging she had changed her earlier statement under threats from Tyagi and his associates. Later that month, she submitted an application stating she had married Tyagi and requested withdrawal of her complaints. A video uploaded by her also supported this claim. However, in January, she again filed an FIR, alleging that Tyagi and her mother had forced an incomplete marriage upon her and that he had raped and assaulted her. She later escalated her allegations, accusing him and two friends of gang-rape. Investigations revealed that the gang-rape allegations were false, though medical reports confirmed burn injuries. Tyagi was arrested on February 17. The woman’s most serious allegation came on February 25, when she claimed three of Tyagi’s friends had kidnapped and gang-raped her after injecting her with an unknown substance. She further alleged that they poured a chemical on her neck, inserted a bottle into her private parts, and abandoned her near Mehrauli Gate. However, CCTV footage contradicted her claim, showing her leaving home, sitting in a car, and returning normally. Call records and location data of the accused also confirmed they were not at the scene. Medical reports suggested the chemical on her neck had been applied with cotton. Deputy Commissioner of Police Rajesh Kumar Singh stated, “The FIR was found to be false and fabricated. The woman has been arrested.” When asked about her possible motive, he noted that she had been living in Tyagi’s flat since their relationship began, indicating a possible property dispute.
