Guilty Gear Strive's story movie thing is a fun watch, but I didn't really "get it" in terms of the philosophical themes about Society and Humanity and all that. It's just too deep for me (or fake-deep, perhaps). At least it was fun to see all the characters in action! Plus the voice acting is pretty great for everyone.

I do wish there was a little more background context to the plot... I mean yeah, Strive is the tail-end of this longtime series, so fans since the beginning probably understand the lore/history and character relationships without needing to refer to the in-game charts and timelines, but as a casual fan, I felt a little lost at times, and the thought of doing extra reading to catch up was kind of daunting (though I appreciate the official resources being all right there for future reference/research).

Maybe Strive's story isn't "for me" and I suppose that's fine enough. Like I said, it was still fun watching the story and action unfold. Happy Chaos is a delightful, scary villain, and MY GOD, you CANNOT GUESS WHAT THEY ARE GOING TO REVEAL ABOUT THE WHITE HOUSE NEXT, lmao.
