When you say yuji gives megumi a rock is it one of those things where people think it’s either cute (a ring) or normal (just gives him a cool rock because it’s pretty) but actually one of those things were you are being tricky and it means the yuji attacks him and just throws a whole fucking boulder at him??

Every once and a while when scrolling through my likes I see the drawing in response to my one ask and get very happy that you honoured my question with a drawing, even if Yuji is sad

But either way I love your art and it feels very comfortable and homey, not quite in a baked goods way but more of a thing that you see everyday that brings in inate sense of comfort because it’s there and consistent and reliable

I was wondering if you could write about when during the saturnvalor when Garth either is told about the wedding or sees the wedding announcement, I am really loving the series that you sort of have going on there

He knows it’s going to happen, of course. It’s been discussed at length. A marriage is the best way to solidify the Titan Alliance.

But when Garth actually gets the wedding announcement, it hits him like a punch to the gut.

You are cordially invited to the wedding of Mon-El of Daxam and Imra Ardeen of Titan, the paper tells him cheerfully. It’s mostly a formality; the entire Legion has been part of this process since the beginning, and they don’t really need physical invitations to know they’re supposed to come to the wedding. Imra sent them out because it’s what was expected of her, the happy, blushing bride.

Garth looks at his invitation and wants to zap it with so much lightning it crumbles into dust.

It’s not about him. He knows that. He hasn’t told Imra how he feels - he’s actively kept it to himself, at least thus far - and so Imra hadn’t hesitated when it was suggested that she offer herself up as a figurehead of a desperately-needed peace. Of course she hadn’t. Imra would never hesitate to help people.

And Garth... Well, Garth loves her, but he’s not going to say it now. He’s not going to put Imra in the position where she has to choose between him and the universe. He doesn’t even know if she feels the same way about him (although sometimes, when their fingers brush, he wonders-), but he knows that either way, the decision would gnaw at their bond until it destroyed whatever friendship they ever had. And friendship with Imra is so, so much better than nothing at all.

He looks down at the wedding announcement, and he tells himself he might as well start learning to be happy for them now, because that’s what Imra needs, and if it’s something Imra needs, Garth wants to give it to her. She needs him to be happy for her, and so that’s what he wants to do.

But while he’s still in his room, where no one can see him...

It is once again time to block all the leaks/spoilers tags and laugh as I can only see like everything second or third thing on your blog (I do genuinely just find it funny, I’ll go back and check everything after the official release)

But in the meantime I have a few random questions

1) is there any character designs that you would change and why? (Yuji’s scars don’t count I know you are attached to him keeping his scars)

2) is there any plot point that you would get rid of or do major changes to in the manga?

3) if you could magic force a character back to life who would it be?

LMAO honestly a lot of the things i tag as spoilers/leaks aren't even from the most recent chapter i'm just tagging most manga-related things at this point just to be safe even if weeks have passed :'> onto ur questions tho !

1. character designs i would change

as far as the characters i draw regularly, fr the most part i am happy with their designs and the differences between my interpretations vs canon more or less boil down to style differences. the way i draw the characters is the way they exist in my head. i draw them how /i/ want them to look. that being said i'm pretty sure i've mentioned before tht i would give yuuji and megumi a few inches to their hair/bangs shjdgfdsj i'm generally not a fan of the short spiky look i don't think it gives much to play with shape-wise. megumi is a bit better than yuuji but i still wld like his hair to be a bit more deliberately styled. *gestures 2 my megumi portfolio* comme ça

as for characters i don't draw as regularly that's where i have a few more gripes with some designs. nanami for example oh my god i'd make nanami's hair a sandier blond and not the awful yellow-green it is in the anime . clashes TERRIBLY with his shirt. i'll be so real i couldn't even get emotional abt his last stand/beach scene bc i was like God These Colours Hurt,,,, change his tie also while i'm at it.

i might get flack fr this but i do not like geto's/kenjaku's design. i think geto only looked good with his hair fully up, the minute he changed into the robes i was out. ik it's the point but imo it drowns him it makes the silhouette so bulky and busy and uninteresting. i dont have an alternative lmao i'm just a hater

2. plot points/manga arcs i would change

once the manga wraps up i promise i will dedicate a few days to reading it from start to finish and then maybe i will have an answer to this smile :)

3. character i'd bring back to life

Since I have seen this from other artists and thought it was cool but I don’t have any clear memory of seeing this from you but have you ever drawn like 10 year post canon trio? I’ve just seen some interesting takes with it but I was wondering what your thoughts were on it since most of your stuff seems to keep them in canon times/teen years

as for the trio 10 years post-canon request, consider it added 2 the List smile :))) I will admit i'm a liiiittle bit worried abt how it might turn out tho,,, i think tht my current style and the way i like to draw people in general already makes the trio look a few years older, so i'm a bit concerned that the timeskip aspect might end up not looking Obvious enough cries,,,

but i do love character design i love an excuse to have fun bouncing off of canon and taking creative liberty with my favs so when i do get around to it rest assured i will give it my best shot >:) can't say when exactly but i like the concept a lot so it Will happen eventually

This is not jjk related but atla world related since i assume you have done a lot of thinking about that, but if this is inappropriate please disregard. But within the world of atla do you think it’s possible for a fire bender to power their fire using moonlight, since it’s just sunlight reflected off of a space rock? Supposed for this to me would be coming from toph in that 1)she can bend space earth and 2) understanding that metal was just refined earth allowed her to bend it. I will note this requires the fire bender to understand that moonlight is reflected sunlight.

OOOh that's an interesting thought !!! in considering atla canon I don't think they would run with it though bc of the established Moon Lore (tm). I'm no authority but if i had 2 wager a guess i would say that it's not the /light/ that provides fire/waterbenders with the energy to fuel their bending, I think it's something a bit more spiritual related 2 what the sun and moon themselves represent. I think tht even if a firebender were to make the connection of moonlight being a form of sunlight (which ?? wld that require an understanding of irl science and astronomy bc if so that's another hurdle lmao theyre a few years behind), that doesnt change the fact that the sun is not the moon

also idk if it's ever established whether or not there r equivalents of the sun or moon tht act as sources of power for earth and airbenders, but as far as we know all the necessary properties required for bending earth r still Present within meteorites and metal, so it makes sense tht toph is able to figure it out.

So I have decided to not look at any spoilers for the final chapters of jjk, so I have to tags blocked which is 1) makes scrolling through your blog hilarious since it’s a whole bunch of grey blocks and 2) makes me very excited since that means tomorrow morning I get to scroll through all of the things and just revel in all of your beautiful artwork (haven’t seen it yet but I know it’s going to be good) I am nearly as excited to see what your drew as I am to read the actual chapter

tbh there are things i'd change about pretty much every piece of old art i've ever done gdhjf that's just the nature of growing as an artist. u learn to recognize weak points and mistakes u made and u use that to inform choices u make to make better art in the future !

honestly tho this might come as a surprise bc both of them did really well, but i think it's because they did really well that i'm extra aware of areas where they're lacking . this sukuna/yuuji piece and this yuuji solo piece r both VERY good conceptually so I wouldn't want to change much about composition or colours, but the way i draw yuuji has changed so much that i'm unfortunately no longer that happy looking at these :'> specifically his face shape and the way i render his hair and skin...yeah there's a lot i'd edit. but ik people rly like these pieces and that's not lost on me!

I originally asked you since I love your art style and had just seen several art pieces for time skips that had some interesting scar work shown in them, even though most of them are definitely not canon compliant.
