Gigi Has an Intelligence Kink (Crystal x Gigi) - A-tresia
Life gets a little bit more interesting when Crystal fully embraces the fact that Gigi has a thing for her brain.
In the same universe as Slow Hands. But you don’t need to read it to get this.
The first time it happens, Crystal thinks it’s just Gigi rewarding her for a job well done.
Crystal is obsessively refreshing her Twitter feed, waiting for an announcement that the MCAT scores have been released.
Refresh.
Nothing.
Refresh.
Still nothing.
Refresh.
“Crys.”
“Hmm? What?”
Gigi gently takes her phone off her fidgety hands. “Just turn your notifications on, hun,” she says, doing it herself.
“But –“
“I know. It’s been a month and they’re scheduled to release today,” she repeats what Crystal has been telling her for the better part of the day.
“It’s been a month and they’re scheduled to release today,” Crystal sighs.
Gigi pulls her in closer and sets her phone under their pillow. “Now, try to concentrate on this instead,” she suggests, motioning to the laptop where an episode of Gigi’s new favorite TV show has been paused. Crystal nods in agreement, hits the space bar, and snuggles in closer.
It takes another episode and a half for Crystal’s phone to vibrate, making them both sit up quickly. If Gigi’s being completely honest, she’s just as nervous as Crystal. And she didn’t take the damn test. But she makes the conscious effort to be the calm one here. One of them has to. And it surely won’t be Crystal.
Gigi hits the space bar to pause the show while Crystal gets up from bed to pace while she loads her account. She watches Crystal, jaw slack in apparent shock, stare at her phone before she gets up on her knees to take a look herself. The torture is killing her. She pulls on Crystal’s shirt to maneuver her closer to the bed so she can peek to see.
521.
“Is that good?” Gigi asks.
Crystal hands over her phone to Gigi, still in quite a bit of shock.
“Crys, is this a good score?” Gigi asks again before looking through the lines and numbers on the screen.
Crystal points to the bottom of the screen. “I would hope so because a perfect score is a 528 and this score is in the 99th percentile.”
When she realizes what this means, Gigi drops the phone on the bed to jump on Crystal who stumbles backward, barely catching her. “Your brain, it’s amazing. I’m so proud of you,” she says in between dropping loud wet kisses all over Crystal’s smiling face. “It’s enough for your dream school, right? With your GPA?”
“More than enough, I hope,” Crystal says.
“Is Crystal happy?” Gigi brushes a thumb over the apple of Crystal’s cheek.
“Crystal is still in shock but Crystal is very, very happy.” The pride in her voice makes Gigi’s heart swell.
Gigi takes Crystal’s face in her hands to give her a proper kiss on the mouth — slow and wet and full of tongue and obviously leading to something else.
“Okay, med school talk later.” She slowly slides off Crystal, gently planting her feet onto the floor. She walks them back to the bed, pulling Crystal down with her when the back of her knees hit the edge. “I think you deserve a treat,” she says reaching up underneath Crystal’s shirt.
“I’m not a dog, Gee,” Crystal laughs.
“Shut up, don’t ruin the moment.”
The next time it happens, Crystal thinks it’s just Gigi being her usual clingy self.
She’s on the floor, as usual, three videos deep into her cadaver dissection videos, her anatomy atlas splayed open on her lap, and drowning in paper and pens and colored pencils. She’s struggling to draw and take notes and memorize all at the same time. Maybe, she thinks, she’s bitten off more than she could chew.
Crystal’s muttering anatomic structures under her breath when she hears Gigi whine her name from behind her. If she wasn’t busy, she’d drop everything she was doing to attend to that very needy whine. But she’s too busy, too tired to even think about doing anything other than studying. She doesn’t even have time to sleep. So she ignores it.
“Crystal,” Gigi calls out again. It’s longer. And breathier. And needier.
Crystal turns to look at Gigi, comfortably nestled on the other end of the couch, making grabby hands at her.
“Sorry, babe,” she says before turning back to her work. Her tone is regretful. The smile on her face is tired. But the feeling at the pit of her stomach is telling her to just go for it. It’s Gigi. And she can’t ever say no to Gigi.
“I don’t want to have to deal with things on my own,” Gigi huffs.
“You know what to do with your hands.” She continues this conversation without looking up from her drawings.
Honestly, she doesn’t know why Gigi is even here in the first place. She knows it’s a busy night. She could be home catching up on sleep or hanging out with her friends. But she’s here. Doing what?
“Crystal.”
“Can I make it up to you tomorrow? Please?” She really doesn’t have the patience for this right now. She looks at the time on her phone, it reads 11:27 PM. “Look, I have less than 12 hours until this test and then I promise I’m all yours. I’ll come straight home after. I don’t mind if you do it right there on the couch if you really have to.” Gigi pouts at her so she reaches for Gigi’s hand to kiss her fingers. “Sorry, really. I am.”
She turns back to her notes before Gigi can make a face that she can’t resist. Suddenly, the dwindling time until her test gives her tunnel vision. Nothing else occupies her mind but this, Gigi’s whining is long forgotten.
Crystal doesn’t know what she expects Gigi to do while she studies. Scroll through her socials? Watch a movie? Online shop?
She doesn’t know what to expect.
But she didn’t think it would be this.
Not Crystal being pulled out of focus by the sound of Gigi’s moaning.
And that moan sounds like she just finished.
Crystal slowly turns her head towards Gigi, looking at her with narrowed eyes in disbelief. When she said she didn’t mind, she didn’t think Gigi would actually do it. “Gigi motherfucking Goode, did you just –“
Gigi looks at her smugly, raises a brow at her as she wipes her fingers on her shorts. “Yes. Yes, I did. You said you didn’t mind.”
“Really, Gee? Did the cadaver video do it for you?”
Gigi scrunches her nose at Crystal. “No, that’s gross. It was you studying and being smart.”
“What?” Crystal chuckles.
“It’s hot, okay? You’re hot. It makes me feel things.”
“What?”
“When you’re being your normal smart self – it’s a turn on, okay?”
“What?”
“Shut up!”
It happens again on Gigi’s birthday and Crystal thinks Gigi is losing her mind when she directs Crystal’s hands to her pussy and asks to be fingered while telling her about the cardiac cycle she was studying earlier today. Crystal thinks this request could have quickly pulled her out of the mood but oddly enough – with her whispering in Gigi’s ear, with her fingers inside Gigi, and with Gigi writhing and moaning and babbling against her – she finds that it makes her feel things too.
Life gets a little bit more interesting when Crystal fully embraces the fact that Gigi has a thing for her brain. Once in a while, when they’re bored of just moaning and groaning and panting their way through having sex, Crystal would look at Gigi – hair fanned out on the pillow, red in the face, chest heaving and sweaty – and lean closer to her ear and indulge Gigi in her ridiculous idea of dirty talk. She’d count the number of ATPs produced in the citric acid cycle, explain to her the mechanisms of action of cephalosporins, run down the cardinal movements of labor, practice on her techniques for a thorough physical examination.
When she passes major exams. When she aces her boards. When she graduates medical school with high honors. When she gets accepted to the surgical residency program of her dreams. Gigi is there – willing and ready and able to reward her, generously, for a job well done. Going as far as buying a new strap, saved and used only for occasions like these.
Crystal is in the middle of her orthopedic surgery residency training and there’s barely any time left for alone time. So Gigi takes what she can get. Even if it’s just a night out for drinks at the bar a couple of blocks away from the hospital with Crystal’s other doctor friends.
She listens to Crystal and her friends (Jackie, a urology resident, and Widow, an anesthesiology resident) exchange stories from their day in the operating room. Gigi is perfectly fine absorbing the excited energy they all seem to have; perfectly fine holding Crystal’s hand under the table; perfectly fine being close. She doesn’t mind that they go into graphic detail; doesn’t mind that they use medical jargon; doesn’t mind that they seem to have forgotten that they have a non-medical person in the group; doesn’t mind that all she is there is present.
When Jackie and Widow get up to get the next round of drinks, Gigi slips a hand up and in between Crystal’s thighs. Crystal catches her wrist before she can go further. “What are you doing?”
“I’m just playing,” she shrugs.
“I know. I meant, why?”
Gigi shrugs again. “You know shoptalk gets to me.”
Crystal knows but she still raises a brow at her. “That wasn’t too graphic for you?”
Instead of answering, Gigi takes Crystal’s hand and positions it underneath her skirt, letting Crystal trail her fingers upward, toward the seam of her underwear. Crystal’s fingers brush over a particularly damp spot. “Already?” Gigi nods like it’s nothing out of the ordinary. And Crystal thinks it really isn’t, at least for Gigi.
“I bet you are too.” And Gigi’s right; she’s always right.
Crystal looks up to see her friends walking back to the table so she signals that they’re going to the toilet. Jackie nods at her so she pulls Gigi up onto her feet and towards the back. It’s a one-person toilet and Crystal wants to thank all the gods looking down at her that it’s empty.
The door is barely locked when Gigi pushes Crystal against the wall and connects their lips and bodies together in a movement that’s demanding and hungry and contagious – hands tangling in hair, lips and tongues desperate to connect with the other, bodies arching and pressing.
“Listening to a story about me pounding at metal and bones got you this hot?” Crystal asks when she pulls away for a breath.
“I want you to pound me instead,” Gigi says, latching her lips onto Crystal’s neck and worming her hand into Crystal’s pants. Crystal moans and drops her head onto Gigi’s shoulder when she feels Gigi slip a finger into her. “But you can do that later.”
Gigi’s thankful Crystal isn’t wearing jeans; her slacks are loose enough for her hand to move freely. She slips another finger in and angles her hand so Crystal can grind against the heel of her palm while she pumps in. And out.
And in.
And out.
Faster.
And harder.
She nips at Crystal’s earlobe. “I expect a good pounding at home.”
“I’ll keep that in mind,” Crystal pants, head now resting against the wall, eyes now glazed over, breath now ragged, hips now following the pace that Gigi has set – slow enough that it builds, fast enough that it’s not frustrating.
Gigi concentrates on pumping and rubbing and kissing and licking and biting and making Crystal hum and moan and whimper. She feels Crystal’s body tense against her, feels Crystal getting wetter, feels her fingers slipping easier. Her muscles are strained but she speeds up the movement of her hand and Crystal speeds up the movement of her hips against Gigi’s palm.
“That’s it,” Gigi encourages as Crystal squeezes her closer and tighter, gasping and shaking as she comes. Gigi keeps a slower, gentler pace, shifting so she can rub her thumb against Crystal’s clit to drag out her orgasm.
She pulls Crystal in for a languid kiss as she waits for Crystal to stop trembling. When she does – it takes a little longer than a moment – Gigi pulls her hand out of Crystal’s pants and holds it up. Her hand is glistening in the low light, covered in Crystal’s slick. Crystal looks up in time to see Gigi lick her fingers, sucking them into her mouth with a sound so needy, Crystal is sure she needs to take care of it. Right now.
“Home time?” Gigi suggests as she straightens up Crystal’s pants.
Crystal manages to shake the clouds away. “There’ll be more later but I think I can get one out of you now,” she says, turning Gigi towards the sink and bending her over with a hand between her shoulder blades. Crystal leans over her to keep her bent, makes sure she’s braced herself on the sink, and slides a hand down the length of Gigi’s back to the curve of her ass, slowly lifting her skirt to expose her now soaking panties. “Missed you this week,” she says, dropping a kiss on Gigi’s jaw while she lets her fingers slip underneath the wet fabric.
Gigi wants to say she missed her too; wants to say she’s happy to have her at home for the next two days; wants to say they should just leave their friends so they can continue this at home. But Crystal is already on her knees behind her, not caring if the floor is dirty; already moving her underwear aside – one Gigi isn’t sure why she even wore in the first place; already burying her face into the heat between Gigi’s legs.
She puts both hands on Gigi’s ass to grope and fondle and squeeze and spread while she licks and nips and sucks at her folds. She feels Gigi squirm; arching and pressing back into her mouth, encouraging her to do a little more. A lot more. All of this is exciting and overwhelming and extremely naughty – a far cry from the white coat wearing, scalpel yielding, professional front Crystal puts on just two blocks away.
Crystal keeps her mouth on her clit as she presses two fingers into Gigi and lets her control the pace, lets her rock back and forth to chase her own pleasure. She feels Gigi contract around her fingers and she thinks it’s time to change things up.
Yes, Crystal thinks to herself, the bathroom of a bar you’re a regular at is the best place to change things up.
She licks long and hard from her clit to her hole, around her fingers, up her perineum, and over her asshole – something she thinks Gigi doesn’t know that she knows Gigi secretly likes. Crystal feels her freeze for a split second before reaching behind her to grab Crystal’s head to keep her in place.
“Fuck, Crystal,” she pants.
Gigi’s rhythmic movement is now jerkier and erratic and Crystal knows she’s close. Very close. Crystal continues to lick and pump and rub while Gigi continues to moan and rock and chase. She hangs her head between her arms and whines and pants and shakes as she comes.
Crystal gets up and leans over Gigi’s body, fingers still pumping inside – prolonging and intensifying. She’s wrapping her free arm around Gigi’s torso, nuzzling her nose into her hair to kiss the back of her neck when she feels her mewl and tremble and shudder into another one – unexpected but highly welcome.
“Love you,” she whispers into her ear.
Gigi turns her head to Crystal – her eyes are glassy, her forehead is sweaty, her cheeks are flushed. “Love you too,” she whispers back before catching her lips for a kiss.
They take their time straightening up; not worried about a line possibly forming outside, not worried that they’ve been gone from their friends for too long.
When they make their way back to the table, she sees Widow look at them with a knowing smirk. And Crystal can’t find it in herself to make up an excuse – there’s no excuse for being gone that long and they’re all adults here anyway. So they gather their things, say their goodbyes and see you laters, and rush home to give Gigi what she promised.
When Crystal graduates from residency, of course, she bags the outstanding resident award and the best scientific paper. All on top of being chief resident in her final year. Because of course, Crystal doesn’t do anything half-assed. Gigi decides, when they’re both stripped off their gowns and heels from Crystal’s hospital graduation dinner, that it’s an important enough occasion to use their special toy – there’s really nothing special or different about that strap; Gigi just uses it particularly on days when she wants to celebrate Crystal. It’s Gigi’s turn to prove that nothing in this house is done half-assed.
Gigi gives Crystal one final lick before trailing up her torso with wet open-mouthed kisses, lingering momentarily on her breasts, taking a nipple in her mouth – licking and biting and sucking. She drops herself onto Crystal’s side, hooking her legs over Crystal’s, and kisses her way up her neck, across her jaw, skipping her lips, and bumps their noses together, “Congratulations, baby.”
Crystal reaches up to cup her cheek and pulls her in for a kiss, tasting herself on Gigi’s lips. “You know I couldn’t have done all of this without you, right?”
“Nope, all you,” she says, nuzzling her cheek against Crystal’s palm before taking Crystal’s hand in hers and kissing the rings on Crystal’s finger – the rings she only usually wears around her neck when she’s at work are now on her left ring finger, where they’re supposed to be. “This is all you. I was just there. I’m just here.”
Gigi gets up to step into the leather harness – fastening the straps and adjusting the cock, all while watching Crystal rub at her clit, flicking back and forth lazily. There’s a satisfied smile on Crystal’s face that Gigi wants to keep there forever. She leans over Crystal, peppering her face with kisses, whispering how immensely proud she is of her, how she loves her dearly, how lucky she is to have her. She braces her arms on the bed, resting the length of the cock against Crystal’s wetness, just content with being skin to skin.
“What’s taking so long?” Crystal whines, breaking the little tender bubble Gigi created.
Gigi chuckles at Crystal’s impatience and decides, yes, okay, tonight is about her. She sits back on her heels and realigns her cock, settling the tip at Crystal’s entrance. With steady pressure, she presses inside; one hand guiding the dildo, the other stroking gently over Crystal’s clit. She stretches over Crystal, letting her weight rest on her when she’s buried deep inside. She pulls back a little and gently slides back in, hooking Crystal’s leg over her hip as she goes. Gigi keeps a slow rhythmic pace, hoping to stretch this out the whole evening.
Sure, the slow thrusts are good. Satisfying, even. But Crystal knows she could take more. And she knows Gigi could give more.
So.
Much.
More.
“This feels lovely and all but I need you to fuck me.”
Gigi thinks for a beat and reminds herself again that what Crystal wants, Crystal gets. At least tonight.
And Crystal will get all her favorite things.
“Up,” she instructs as she pulls out.
“What?” Crystal is confused at the sudden emptiness.
She pulls Crystal up from the bed and pushes her on her knees on the floor. Understanding dawns on Crystal’s face as Gigi steps forward, gripping the base of the cock – still wet with Crystal’s slick, guiding it towards Crystal’s mouth.
“I want to see you take it all.”
“Yes, ma’am,” Crystal murmurs, her eyes locked onto Gigi’s as she takes the dildo inside her mouth, slowly working her tongue along its length. Gigi groans at the sight of Crystal taking a silicone cock all the way to the back of her throat without gagging. She remembers asking Crystal why she likes doing that. All she got was a vague answer about liking the force. Whatever that means.
Crystal makes a show of licking and sucking and deep-throating. The way the harness rubs against her is not enough to tip her over the edge but it’s there and looking at Crystal taking it all oddly makes Gigi feel like this appendage is hers.
Gigi groans a she watches Cyrstal swallow the full length of her cock. “God, baby. That’s so fucking hot.” Crystal responds by making sure she’s tugging at the base harder so whatever part of it that’s brushing against Gigi is hitting her right. She grits her teeth and buries her hands into Crystal’s hair as Crystal slips a thumb beneath the harness to press on Gigi’s swollen clit.
“You’re going to make me come,” Gigi breathes out.
And she does.
Her body really doesn’t give her a choice.
When Crystal presses particularly hard on her clit, her thighs tremble and she thrusts forward and tightens her grip on Crystal’s hair.
And Crystal is quick to grab onto Gigi’s ass, clutching and pulling, keeping her there – nose pressed against Gigi’s pubic bone – as she rides it out.
Gigi pulls back quickly, aware that she’s cutting off Crystal’s air supply. She looks down to see Crystal reluctantly let go of her cock with an exaggerated slurp, looking up at Gigi with needy eyes and pouty lips, blinking away involuntary tears.
She helps Crystal to her feet and kisses her senseless, not minding that saliva has dribbled down Crystal’s chin.  Crystal grips Gigi’s side for balance as Gigi walks her backward against a wall.
Crystal is startled out of her daze when Gigi grips her waist and turns her around, effectively disconnecting their lips and pushing her flat against the wall. She looks over her shoulder to see Gigi squat, suddenly she’s very aware of the very aroused state of her pussy.
“Always so wet for me,” Gigi says, running a finger over Crystal’s lips. Crystal bites on her lower lip as she resists the urge to quote WAP lyrics and for good reason – Gigi hates that song. She, on the other hand, secretly loves it – the OR nurses may or may not have caught her attempting to do the dance in the dressing room.
Gigi spreads her lips apart, a moan stuck in her throat when a string of clear juice dribbles down her finger and onto the floor.
“Crystal, you fucking just dripped on the floor. Jesus fucking – “
Crystal shakes her ass in Gigi’s face. “Please, fuck me. Please.”
And Gigi gives her what she wants. Gigi gets up and slides the full length of her cock easily inside Crystal in one quick fluid motion. She’s rewarded with a deep moan and expletives begging for more.
Crystal’s pussy clamps down on the dildo when Gigi moves to give her a short quick thrust. “Yes, more, like that.” She isn’t sure where this savage need to fuck Crystal like this is coming from but she decides to embrace it. So she grips Crystal’s hips tighter and slams hard repeatedly, making them both grunt. She would have been worried that she’s being too rough if Crystal hadn’t instantly pushed back against her with a very enthusiastic, “Fuck, yes!”
It’s a pace they’re both surprised they both can keep up with. And they’re both determined to keep going. The jumbled words and incomprehensible sounds coming from Crystal’s mouth spurs Gigi on – orgasm after orgasm stealing her words from her.
Gigi is getting frustrated trying to chase an orgasm of her own. With a yelp from Crystal, she pulls completely away and flips Crystal around so her back is against the wall. She hikes a leg up, hooking it over Gigi’s hip. Crystal reaches between them to guide the cock back into her pussy and encourages Gigi to keep on pounding into her. She coos in Gigi’s ear, her hands groping Gigi’s breasts, her lips busy kissing Gigi’s face and neck. Soon, their sounds turn into whimpers and pants and sharp moans as they both race towards another orgasm.
Gigi gropes Crystal’s ass hard and leans to bury her face in Crystal’s neck as a strangled moan works its way from her throat. She thrusts one last hard thrust up into Crystal before she comes. Hard. Leaving them both trembling against the wall.
Gigi shifts to help Crystal regain solid footing, letting the cock slip wetly out of her, scattering kisses over her neck and shoulders.
“God damn,” Crystal breathes out.
“That was intense,” Gigi muses, holding on to Crystal tightly, still leaning themselves against the wall.
Crystal with her vision still cloudy and marked by black spots, pushes herself upright and pushes Gigi back into bed, and crawls over her. “No more for me,” she says trailing a series of wet kisses down Gigi’s body. “Your turn now.”
Crystal takes her time – So. Much. Time. – to let Gigi know how she’s wrong. How she wasn’t just there. How she isn’t just here. How the past almost ten years with school and training was because of her, for her, and with her.

just sum venting, ignore :)
dont read if you have like some sort of family issues- trauma or something LOL
my family has been going through a lot of stress in these past 2 years and i feel like im in the only reason this family hasnt lost their minds yet. my dad takes out his stress by screaming at my mom, my mom takes out her stress by screaming at my (younger) brother and me, my brother is NUMB to all disappointment and im genuinely scared because my brother acts psycho and like actually full-on sobs and screams if he isnt allowed to watch vids or play video games all day or the wifi connection is weak or gets cutoff for a moment and thrashes things around but hes 10 and nobody is listening to my pleas of reducing his screen time because they cant deal with his tantrums when they try to. i feel like im losing my brother and then theres my parents who are on the verge of exploding all the time and im always on edge so im never seen scrolling on my phone or watching something kpop related because my parents are fking racist. Im always around the house doing things like getting my moms phone from the kitchen or getting my dad some water as soon as they ask me irrespective of what im doing and like if i hear my parents arguing about who is less tired to turn off the light while im the one actually sleeping i have to get up and turn off the light so my dad doesnt accidentally say something hurtful to my mom and my mom doesnt forget to make breakfast the next morning.
and like recently its been worse cuz my grandfather passed away 2-3 months ago idek it feels like forever so were staying at my grandmothers place that isnt even in the same city and i can feel my mental health deteriorating because i used to live here as a kid and i have a lot of bad memories i want to forget but here i am reliving them. anyways its 4 of us plus my grandmother so that makes 5 people sharing 2 tiny bedrooms a hall and a kitchen but the house feels like its divided into two because my dad and my grandmother dont talk to each other so they just stay on their own side and i share a bedroom with my grandmother and my brother. my brother sleeps in the middle but the bed is actually 2 twin cots with rock-hard matresses from the 1980’s awkwardly put together so the middle is uneven and uncomfortable but my parents wont let him sleep with them because he never lets anyone around him sleep peacefully (explains my eyebags) and he refuses to switch with me so now im also genuinely worried about his back. he also sometimes randomly screams at my grandmother and i glare at him and ask him to stop because its disrespectful but my grandmother screams at me instead because she is partial to him to the point where if she had to push me off a cliff to save him she’d do it in the blink of an eye and im not even exaggerating because this is a fact that everyone who knows her is aware of. shes rich and my family already knows shes going to write off her entire inheritance to my brother and idrc about the money but it hurts. like this one time my mum was talking about how she was going to preserve the land my grandmother owns so my brother can build a farm house there in the future like OKAY i get it we live in an indian society where youre just supposed to marry off the girl and give her 0 inheritance but that shit hurts lady. most of the time i even have to give up my portion of the food when my brother is suddenly in his psychotic mood where he wants other peoples stuff- my grandmother is my brother’s bodyguard, personal attendant and lawyer who’s current job is to either train me to be her successor or if I disagree then turn against me.
i cant blame anyone for the stress part tho. we werent as affected by my grandfathers death as we were by its after affect- he has a business and now my dad has to take care of that and 2 other businesses while also opening a new one and it doesnt help that all 4 require full-time attention. and in hopes of being helpful and fucking fixing this family, i promised to help with the advertising and the managing of the social media accounts of the new business. not even kidding ive been spending the last one month skipping classes saying they were either cancelled or unnecessary to work on photo and video edits for the store and promoting it. idk the last time i touched my textbooks and my parents dont know because im hiding the report cards. my limbs hurt from constantly using the stairs of the 4-floored store.
about half an hour ago my mum told me to refill all the water bottles while i was brushing my teeth and my dad loudly replied with a “Why does everyone give her all the work” out of spite for my mom. everytime he says that it makes me so mad i want to punch the wall because no matter how genuine he is, it sounds sarcastic to me because he makes no effort to help me. and it did NOT help when i lost the soft thing on my earphone 5 minutes later, making me feel like crying because my earphones are the ONLY thing keeping me sane here. the only escape from this. the only excuse i can give my mother when she asks why i didnt hear her call me in such a small house.
i just want to go home. i want my own room back. i want a pair of earphones plugged into my laptop, and i want to drown myself in Kris Wu music. i want to spread my limbs on my queen sized bed and pretend like i have all the time in the world to be bored.
i dont get why we have to go through this when were actually rich. im usually humble about it in rl but atp idec because i really dont get why we have to go through this when we can even afford a house in beverly hills or something. actually, maybe its because my parents dont have enough time or patience left to fix the bed or get a bigger house.
and then i open instagram to see people my age hanging out with their friends, having the time of their lives while im just rotting away here. the only 3 closest friends i have- one just stopped calling me after changing schools and making popular friends and the other blocked my number over some petty fight from months ago. thank the universe im still chatting with my 3rd at least.
but im okay because i tell myself im doing great. im patting myself on my back. im going to go back home at some point and im going to get myself a new pair of earphones.
im proud for staying strong. im proud for not nearing the breaking point. im proud for keeping it up for 2 whole years and im proud that i wouldnt hesitate to continue.
bless you for reading this.

Premier League predictions: Lawro vs tennis star Andy Murray
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Liverpool took the local glory in Wednesday’s Merseyside derby but who will be celebrating when the red and blue halves of Manchester meet on Saturday?
“Manchester City are still a very good team – that has not changed just because they have had the odd bad result this season,” said BBC football expert Mark Lawrenson.
“They would love to beat United, and they are the better side – so that is what I think will happen.”
Lawro is making predictions for all 380 top-flight matches this season, against a variety of guests.
This week he is up againstformer tennis world number one Andy Murray.

Murray predicts big win for Man City in derby
Murray’s grandad played for Hibs so he grew up as a fan of the Easter Road club.
“The whole family supports them so I used to go to a lot of games,” he told BBC Sport.
“It has always been difficult to watch them when I am travelling because the Scottish league is not on around the world, whereas with the Premier League you can see it anywhere.
“So I follow Arsenal now too a little bit but, yes, I am definitely into my football. I used to play a lot when I was younger, but I had to choose between football and tennis when I was 14 or 15.
“It is difficult to keep doing both and commit enough time to both of them, but there is a lot of stuff about football that I miss.

Wimbledon and World Cup 2014: Murray’s amazing keepy-uppy skills
“I like the team element and playing alongside your friends, but at that age it was a lot easier for me – because they had a ranking system in tennis from the age of 12, I knew really what level I was at in terms of European standards.
“Whereas with football, I was all right in my team, but I was probably rubbish in the grand scheme of things so I am glad I made the choice to go for tennis.”
Murray could still have a future in football, however, if he follows up his past addiction to Football Manager by moving into the dug-out in real life.

Andy Murray tells BBC Radio 5 Live about his injury, rehabilitation and return to tennis
He explained: “I played a lot of Football Manager growing up – it killed a lot of time on the road – but it also became a bit of an issue when I was staying up late to play it.
“I had to cut back a few years ago. When I was in Spain, myself and a friend would have two teams each – we were staying up until 3am, and we would start training at 8am, so I had to stop playing it.
“As far as football coaching goes, I have been asked if there were any other jobs I would be interested in doing, and I would like to do something in sport.
“Football is something that has always interested me and, it would be a fun thing to try.
“A lot of people think they could do a good job, and that they know what teams should be doing, but there is a lot more to it than that.”

LAWRO’S PREDICTIONS
All kick-offs 15:00 GMT unless stated.
SATURDAY
Everton v Chelsea (12:30 GMT)
Things just went from bad to worse for Marco Silva so it was no surprise to see him sacked by Everton on Thursday. Whatever he tried, it was just not working.
Media playback is not supported on this device
Silva says pressure has led to his players making mistakes
Duncan Ferguson has been named as the Toffees’ temporary manager for this game and I think we will see a reaction from their players, just because there will be someone different in charge, even if it is not Silva’s permanent successor.
Chelsea are going well and picked up another three points against Aston Villa but, now they have made the change, I just fancy Everton to get something from this one.
Lawro’s prediction:1-1
Andy’s prediction:1-2
Bournemouth v Liverpool
In contrast to Everton, whatever Liverpool do at the moment just keeps on working out for them.
I was at Anfield for the Merseyside derby and my thoughts when I saw Jurgen Klopp’s much-changed side to face Everton can be summed up in one word – ‘gamble’.
Media playback is not supported on this device
Jurgen Klopp pleased with ‘sensational’ Liverpool goals
It paid off though. I understand the players he brought in had been working extremely hard in training and Klopp just thought ‘fresh legs, give them a go’ and it could not have worked out any better for him.
Bournemouth, meanwhile, are struggling. They have lost four league games in a row, with their latest defeat coming against Crystal Palace’s 10 men on Tuesday – I don’t see them having any joy here, either.
Lawro’s prediction:0-2
Andy’s prediction:Liverpool have won a few tight ones lately. 1-2
Tottenham v Burnley
Burnley are another team to have hit the buffers a bit, suffering back-to-back home defeats against Crystal Palace and Manchester City.
Tottenham did not really get going at Old Trafford in midweek but I am expecting them to be far better this time. If so, they should win pretty comfortably.
Lawro’s prediction:2-0
Andy’s prediction:2-0
Watford v Crystal Palace
It looks like Watford’s interim manager Hayden Mullins will still be in charge for this game as the Hornets search for their third manager of the season.
This is a tough game for Mullins, because Crystal Palace are going great at the moment.
But Watford are at home, and the fact they are going to appoint someone soon might bring something extra out of their players. They might be wondering who is watching.
Lawro’s prediction:1-1
Andy’s prediction:1-1
Man City v Man Utd (17:30 GMT)
I know United played very well in their win over Tottenham on Wednesday, and that they have had some good results against the bigger clubs this season.
But from their wins over Chelsea and Spurs to their draw with Liverpool, those results have all come at Old Trafford, and they have still only won once away in the league – at Norwich.
City were impressive as they beat Burnley at Turf Moor on Tuesday night and for Gabriel Jesus to score twice was more good news for them.
Lawro’s prediction:2-0
Andy’s prediction:If Paul Pogba were to be back that would help United a little bit, but I am going with City. 3-1
SUNDAY
Aston Villa v Leicester (14:00 GMT)
Leicester are on a fabulous run – they have won their past seven league games since losing at Anfield on 5 October.
But their results mean people are realising what a good side they are and they are reacting to the threat they pose by making plans for them.
I think teams will realise they cannot be open against the Foxes because they will undo you on the break.
If Villa do keep things tight, I think they will pick up a point.
Lawro’s prediction:1-1
Andy’s prediction:1-2
Newcastle v Southampton (14:00 GMT)
Saints are on a good little run with seven points from their past three games but I’ve been impressed by Newcastle recently too and they are starting to allay any fears of relegation.
Their home form was not great at first under Steve Bruce, but they have only lost once under him at St James’ Park and their results there will have helped him win the fans over.
The Magpies got a very good win against Sheffield United on Thursday night and I am backing them again on Sunday.
Lawro’s prediction:2-1
Andy’s prediction:1-1
Norwich v Sheff Utd (14:00 GMT)
Sheffield United slipped up at home to Newcastle in midweek but they are still unbeaten away in the league, although they have drawn six of their seven games on the road.
I am going to go for another draw for them here, although I am not really convinced by Norwich.
The Canaries looked like they were turning a corner until they went to Southampton and lost on Wednesday, and they really need to start building some form at home soon.
Lawro’s prediction:1-1
Andy’s prediction:Sheffield United have been on fire. 1-2
Brighton v Wolves (16:30 GMT)
Wolves have not lost in the Premier League since 14 September, and are clearly a very well-drilled side with a clever coach in Nuno Espirito Santo.
They have scored some important late goals in that time too, which is a useful habit to have, but I just have a feeling that their run will end here.
Brighton will cause them some problems – the Seagulls will have to work hard to hold out though.
Lawro’s prediction:2-1
Andy’s prediction:0-1
MONDAY
West Ham v Arsenal (20:00 GMT)
Both of these teams have got problems, but Arsenal’s away form is probably the biggest issue here.
The Gunners’ defending is not getting any better either and, if West Ham turn up for this one, I think they will win.
Until Arsenal appoint a manager, it is difficult to know what direction they are going in – but it appears to be downwards at the moment.
Their chances of securing Champions League football for next season by making the top four are starting to look remote.
Lawro’s prediction:2-0
Andy’s prediction:They are both struggling at the moment. Let’s go for a draw. 1-1
Lawro was speaking to BBC Sport’s Chris Bevan.
How did Lawro do last week?
From the midweek fixtures, Lawro got five correct results, including two exact scores for a total of110 points.
He beat University Challenge star Bobby Seagull, who got six correct results, but with one exact score, for a total of90 points.

Battling Their Way Into the U.S. Open
In her pretournament news conference on Friday, the defending United States Open champion Naomi Osaka was asked about her early experience at tennis’ major championships.
“My first Slam was qualies here,” Osaka said of the Open’s 128-player qualifying tournament, which allows lower-ranked players a chance to earn one of the remaining coveted spots — 16 each for men and women — in the main draw. “But we don’t count qualies.”
Osaka lost in the second round of qualifying in 2015, but the official U.S. Open record book has no mention of that.
“At the end of the day, your career is measured by how many Grand Slam main draws you played in,” said Eric Butorac, the director of pro tennis operations and player relations for the United States Tennis Association, who as a player never qualified in singles at the Open. “People don’t look at the qualifying the same way they do a main draw match. It’s a real status thing.”
The difference between qualifying and main draw starts with prize money. A third-round loser in qualifying pockets $32,000, but a first-round appearance in the main draw nets a player a minimum of $58,000 this year.
Main draw players also receive perks such as a chauffer-driven Mercedes-Benz and $400 per day for living expenses. Qualifying participants get $300 per day and a shuttle bus from the U.S.T.A. Billie Jean King National Tennis Center to one of three New York City hotels.
One of the most coveted perks for main draw participants is a visit to the gift redemption center, or the so-called swag suite, next to the player lounge. There they receive $1,100 worth of merchandise, which might include a Herschel backpack, a silver Tiffany necklace (or card case), a Nordstrom gift card, Bose noise-masking earbuds or other luxury items.
For those who lose in the final round of qualifying, it can’t feel good to see an opponent walking around the grounds wearing a cashmere scarf, as a reminder that they just missed out.
“I get nauseous watching these last rounds of qualifying at a major,” the broadcaster Mary Carillo said. “The most pressure-fraught matches they may ever play will be in these rounds. I feel so much for these young kids who are trying to get into their first major. I see a lot of double faults in those matches.”
On Friday, the last day of qualifying, across 14 courts at the National Tennis Center, 64 players in 32 matches shared one goal: win and reach the main draw. Here are some of their stories.
3:25 p.m.
Jenson Brooksby d. Pedro MartĂnez
Starting an hour and a half late because of a rain delay, Brooksby, an 18-year-old Californian also known as J.T., won and became the only American man to reach the main draw through qualifying. Last year, Brooksby got a wild card into the main draw when he won the junior national championship in Kalamazoo, Mich. He lost in the first round to the Australian John Millman, who went on to upset Roger Federer in the round of 16.
Brooksby could have competed in Kalamazoo again this year, but he opted for the challenge of U.S. Open qualifying. He played before a packed house of more than 1,500 on Court 11.
“I just felt like I had worked so hard, I was a year older and I felt ready,” Brooksby said after he defeated Martínez, a 22-year-old from Spain, 6-3, 6-7 (4), 6-3. “Coming through qualies is incredibly tough. I’ve never played in front of a crowd this big.”
Brooksby led by 5-3 and served for the match at 5-4 in the second set, only to double-fault on break point. After a brief rain delay in which both players stayed on court, Brooksby dropped the tiebreaker. He then sat in his chair while MartĂnez called the trainer. Brooksby removed his baseball cap and repeatedly ran his fingers through his hair.
“He’s emotional,” his coach, Joe Gilbert, said. “This is probably the biggest match he’s ever played.”
Brooksby is expected to play collegiate tennis at Baylor starting in January, assuming he maintains his amateur status. That would mean turning down at least $58,000 in prize money here. As of Friday, he was not sure what he would do.
3:48 p.m.
Jannik Sinner d. Mario Vilella MartĂnez
Sinner, an 18-year-old Italian, barely broke into a smile as he dispatched Vilella MartĂnez, a 24-year-old from Spain, 7-6 (1), 6-0. Both men were trying to qualify at a major for the first time.
Sinner, who won an ATP Challenger event in Lexington, Ky., two weeks ago, waved his racket to the crowd on Court 11 and trundled off the court. He had nothing to say.
4:18 p.m.
Jiri Vesely d. Paolo Lorenzi
Lorenzi and Vesely battled for more than three and a half hours on Court 15. Lorenzi, a 37-year-old Italian, was ranked No. 33 in the world two years ago and reached the round of 16 here in that same year. But now he was exhausted and fighting for his life in the qualifying tournament.
Vesely, a 26-year-old Czech who was ranked No. 35 in 2015, served for the match at 6-4, 5-3, 30-30. He held a match point in the third set. He finally won, 6-4, 5-7, 7-6 (2) when Lorenzi missed a backhand into the net. Vesely roared like a lion for a full two minutes.
“It was just for relief,” said Vesely, who admitted to looking forward to shedding the shuttle bus for a courtesy car. “The whole match I felt really tight. This is so much harder than playing the main draw, especially because I felt like I was expected to win every round. I really put pressure on myself. Right now, I’m just so happy and proud of how I finished.”
4:55 p.m.
Sumit Nagal d. Joao Menezes
Neither Nagal nor Menezes, both 22, had ever qualified at a major. Nagal, from India, had won only three Challenger-level matches on hardcourts all year. Menezes, from Brazil, won the gold medal in singles at the Pan American Games in Peru two weeks ago. His total career prize money before this week was just $78,271, and he had never even played qualies at a major before.
When Nagal came back to beat Menezes, 5-7, 6-4, 6-3, he threw his racket to the ground and thrust both arms into the air. After a huge fist pump he trotted over to his coach, and the two shared a long embrace.
Nagal was overwhelmed by fans after the win. They screamed for selfies and autographs, following him down the hall toward the locker room after he left the court.
“It’s a Slam,” Nagal said, shrugging off the extra attention. “When you do well, everyone comes at you.”
For him, reaching the main draw meant not only the chance to continue playing, but income that can translate into job security. He plans to invest his earnings into his training.
“You barely make money and break even,” he said. “Now at least I have something so I can last for a few more months.”
But his U.S. Open may last only a few more days. Nagal’s first-round opponent? Roger Federer, on Monday night.
7:19 p.m.
Peng Shuai d. Nicole Gibbs
With the sun setting and the lights up on Court 6, Gibbs looked over and saw Peng sprawled by her courtside chair, trainers tending to her cramping body.
At that point, Peng, a 33-year-old from China who was a semifinalist in the 2014 Open, had already proven her resilience. She had defeated her American opponent, 6-3, 4-6, 6-3, in 2 hours 14 minutes, advancing to the main draw.
Yet for Gibbs, a 26-year-old Californian who reached the third round of the Open in 2014, simply competing at the National Tennis Center this summer was also a display of fortitude. In May, a routine visit to the dentist led to the discovery of a rare salivary gland cancer, followed by an operation and a two-month hiatus from the tour for Gibbs.
After some stitches came loose, Gibbs was forced to use a feeding tube for a month, instead of the expected two days. All the while, she kept up her off-court training.
“The week from diagnosis until we knew it was contained was really rough,” said Paul Gibbs, Nicole’s father, who sat courtside to watch her try to make the Open main draw in just her fourth tournament back. “But I think it gave her a little more perspective on what’s important in life.”
On Friday, Gibbs chased down seemingly impossible retrievals and chastised herself for every missed ball. When the match was over, Gibbs sat in her chair for a bit, then got up, waved to the crowd, signed a few autographs and disappeared behind the court.
About an hour later, Gibbs earned one of the five so-called lucky-loser spots in the main draw — positions that open up after withdrawals and go to the highest-ranked players who lose in the last round of qualifying.
On Tuesday, Gibbs will play fourth-seeded Simona Halep, who won Wimbledon last month. There is a glimmer of hope: As the No. 1 seed last year, Halep lost in the first round.

My Holistic Medical Experiences With Sugar: Migraines and Blood Sugar
My Beginnings with Holistic Medicine In 1991, I was diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder. This is quite unusual to have at age 50, as this disease, or Manic Depression as it is also called, usually doesn’t strike past the age of 40. I was in clinical depression when my wife Marcia dragged me into Manhattan from our home on Long Island about an hour and a quarter drive by car. A friend of hers, our insurance agent Jerry, suggested that the Atkins Center could help. Robert Atkins M.D. died a few years ago, but back in 1991 he had a five or six storied building that was devoted to what he termed Complementary Medicine. Complementary meant that the good Dr. Atkins was adding certain holistic medical approaches to his internal medicine cardiology traditional training. Upon arrival early in the morning, I was given a 5 hour blood glucose tolerance to determine whether I was either hypoglycemic (low blood sugar) or hyperglycemic (possibly diabetic), blood was withdrawn for a variety of analyses, stool samples were collected, and food and other allergies were tested.
Sugar and Migraines When I was twenty-seven and returned to Toronto from Israel with my Ph.D. in Biophysics, my headaches that I had all my life turned into migraines that I thought I would now have all my life. The migraines were much worse and my pain took on a new dimension of intensity. I had learned to tolerate pain since age four but this pain was excruciating. Migraine headaches are vascular in nature where one first triggers the vasoconstriction or squeezing of blood vessels in the head and neck followed by the vasodilation or expansion of blood vessels. During the second vascular phase, the blood vessels expand way past where they originally started and the poor migraine sufferer feels the horrific throbbing of the migraine. I don’t know about giving birth but you can’t imagine what the pain is like unless you are a migraine sufferer yourself.
After years of living with this physical pain, I read a book by a South American doctor in the early eighties on the relationship of sugar to migraines. I can’t remember his name or the name of the book, but I do remember what the doctor wrote. He said that sugar triggered a migraine in certain individuals who were susceptible to the biochemical changes initiated by sugar. My science background allowed me to understand what the doctor was suggesting and I was looking for any explanation for my migraines as I was desperate. I had gone to the Headache Clinic at Montefiore Hospital in the Bronx, New York and no such explanation was offered. Basically, table sugar or the disaccharide sucrose gets broken down to the monosaccharides, glucose and fructose, in the body and causes insulin to be secreted by the pancreas.
The insulin is needed to transport the glucose breakdown sugar of the sucrose into our cells for energy, for work in our muscles, and for making triglycerides in our fat cells. A complex biochemical process takes place and there is an exchange of certain ions like magnesium and calcium across cell membranes that cause changes in the bioelectric character of the cells. If too much sucrose is broken down to glucose, the pancreas will secrete an overabundance of insulin. The insulin action can actually reduce the blood sugar levels to even lower levels than normally found in a person’s bloodstream, sometimes to a level which is considered hypoglycemic. The decrease in blood glucose triggers the body to secrete the hormones, epinephrine (adrenaline) and norepinephrine (noradrenaline), to cause the breakdown of glycogen stored in our cells in order to raise and rebalance our blood glucose levels. Blood glucose levels are actually our blood sugar levels but use of the word sugar is actually a misnomer because when we say sugar, we usually mean sucrose but it is the breakdown product of sucrose which is glucose. In any event, the secretion of epinephrine and norepinephrine can be a problem in some migraine sufferers whose blood vessels are sensitive and susceptible because these hormones or neurotransmitters, in addition to breaking down glycogen which is a string of glucose molecules, cause vasoconstriction of the skin blood vessels in the head, neck and shoulders. The consequence is that the migraine will commence and becomes difficult to arrest.
The South American doctor noted that shortly after taking sweets, the migraine began in individuals. Anywhere from forty-five to ninety minutes after the sweets would do it. I noted his findings in the early 1980s in my head but never attempted to carefully watch my foods. That is until the Atkins Center in 1991. I weighed 175 pounds at the beginning of my treatment at the Atkins Center. A couple of months later on a carbohydrate-restricted diet I was 150 pounds. Miraculously the migraines disappeared at the lower weight. When I gained the weight back, the migraines returned. Not a double blind study for a scientist although it convinced me that there was some validity to the relationship of sucrose to migraines. I still haven’t seen any writings on this subject; however, I suggest you try it to see if there is a relationship of sugar to your migraines. There may not be. Migraines have other causes such as food allergies and genetics but it may be worth a try.
Sugar and Why You Can Gain Weight Low carbohydrate was the whole premise for the Atkins diet to lose weight and it does work if you restrict your diet according to his suggestions. There has been a lot of controversy over the Atkins diet that you can read about elsewhere. With Dr. Atkin’s death, the diet has lost some traction although there are still quite a few successful imitations out there. Some argue that the diet is not a healthy one and it is a truism that there is risk with everything. I’m back to my 175 pound weight but I do watch the sugar. The truth is that only about twenty-five percent of us can adequately metabolize sugar and get it out of our bodies quickly so that it doesn’t cause weight gain. The rest of us can be affected by ingesting carbohydrates. It’s also a fact that although total daily calories are important, you can reach a state when you are older when it’s not how much you eat but what you eat. You probably ask yourself why you are gaining weight when you are hardly eating, or so you believe. The whole weight loss syndrome is like making your way through a mine field. And why are some skinnier people diabetic while some overweight people do not have the illness?
We need glucose for all our cells to provide energy in the form of ATP when the glucose reacts with oxygen inside our cells. The brain needs lots of energy and requires about 20% of our blood glucose. In addition to energy our muscles need the glucose to convert to lactic acid so that they can function for example in throwing a punch or in exercise. Finally the glucose gets transported into our fat cells and initially forms triglycerides which can be assimilated, with the components of the triglyceride being converted into other lipids inside our fat cells. It is all of these lipids that form which can put on weight, especially if we are storing more fat than we are burning. In the Atkins diet, the low carbohydrate-high protein diet forces the body to burn fat and thus Atkins saw the weight loss in his patients. If the weight loss is dramatic as in a very overweight person then if you have Type 2 diabetes, and you may not, the diabetes can be partially or fully reversed since the pancreas still has the potential to produce insulin. At the higher weight with so much sugar in the bloodstream, it is necessary for your doctor to prescribe insulin for you. At the lower weight your own insulin can do the job in controlling the blood glucose.
Insulin resistance first happens for the energy in our cells and brain although we usually have enough to function. There is a slowing down of the rate of glucose transport (thus the amount of glucose removed from the bloodstream is also decreased) which can be increased through medications such as Metformin or a nutritional supplement known as alpha lipoic acid. Now the glucose has accelerated more into our muscles and fat cells than into our cells and brain. This can happen at 150 pounds or 275 pounds depending on the person and his or her biochemistry. Next the muscles slow down in the insulin transport of glucose, so the best option for the body turns out to be transporting the glucose into fat cells. The muscle cells in addition to our other body cells have become more insulin resistant. The last to become insulin resistant are the fat cells, so if we are susceptible, we will gain weight until our fat cells become insulin resistant. We may weigh 350 pounds but we may still not be that bad in terms of insulin resistance in the fat cell systems. We keep gaining weight because we haven’t reached insulin resistance with our fat cells. Or we can be that 175 pounds and already be insulin resistant everywhere. Once all three systems become significantly insulin resistant, the blood sugar (blood glucose) levels may rise to the point where we are considered pre-diabetic. The insulin from the pancreas responding to the glucose in the bloodstream can no longer do its job. When levels of glucose go even higher in the bloodstream, diabetes can occur irrespective of whether you are fat or skinny. There is however more of a correlation between diabetes and being overweight for other biochemical reasons.
Conclusion Many years ago before we all were born, the sweet taste was satisfied by the berries that our ancestors picked in the wild. Today sugar has become a staple of the American diet and our children love it. The refinement of white sugar from sugar cane is the culprit and we have gotten accustomed to the sweet taste. Food producers place sucrose or glucose or sugar derivatives like corn syrup into a majority of the products found on supermarket shelves. You might ask the question, “What is it about sugar that we like?” I’ll leave you with a brief badly designed experiment that was conducted with baby rats. researchers placed the rat pups on a hotplate and the pups only lasted a few seconds before jumping off the hot plate. If the scientists pre-fed the pups sugared-water, the pups were able to stay on the hotplate significantly longer. The conclusion was that sugar stimulates the rat and presumably our endorphin system which distracts us from the pain. Anything in life that gives us an endorphin high in life makes us feel good. Yet every action has a reaction and their our costs for pursuing the good life.

Norrie’s off for a toilet break now which is probably a good idea whether he needs the toilet or not. I don’t like players abusing them but he needs to have a good look at himself in the mirror because at the end of that second set his body language was awful.

Norrie 3-6 0-6 Benchetrit
It may have been raining a little earlier but the sun is finally out and the locals have followed Benchetrit’s lead and thrown on their caps.
The hose pipes have been brought onto court too – they’re giving it a watering, presumably in the hope it might spark a performance out of Norrie in this third set.

*Millman 5-5 Zverev
Fifth seed Alexander Zverev was serving for the set, but Australian John Millman has just broken back.
There must be something in the air at Roland Garros today. Juan Martin Del Potro a set down, Norrie struggling against the world number 273…

Norrie 3-6 0-6 Benchetrit
Serve, forehand winner, repeat. It’s so easy for the Frenchman. He’s 40-0 up and can afford a double-fault before holding to love and taking the second set in dominant style.

The wheels are falling off spectacularly. Benchetrit is completely in control of this match. He’s playing magnificently well for a man of his experience and Cameron Norrie is having an absolute shocker.

Benchetrit breaks
Norrie 3-6 0-5 Benchetrit*
Barely a reaction from Norrie as Benchetrit takes the second break point when the Brit double-faults.
Somebody pick him up, give him a shake and bring some life into Norrie!

Norrie’s got to do something about this. He’s too far back behind the baseline and not getting any rhythm going. Benchetrit is playing very well.

Benchetrit holds
*Norrie 3-6 0-4 Benchetrit
Benchetrit is like a little boy playing with his trains. He’s toying with Norrie and a sublime, angled backhand deceives the Briton.
He tries a slice but Norrie reads it and sends a forehand down the line before Benchetrit volleys a winner into the far corner.

Matthew Venn: Not a massive fan of the way Norrie plays, he’s going to need to improve the strength of his shots because he just doesn’t have the ability to hit enough winners. Let’s hope he can grind this win out!

There were a few boos from the crowd after that last game. Norrie flew his racquet at the water bottles. He’s not happy at all!

The sun is coming out now but I feel like Norrie could do with the rain. A rain delay could help him because this really is slipping away from him.

Benchetrit breaks
Norrie 3-6 0-3 Benchetrit*
This is NOT looking good.
Benchetrit needs just one break point to punish Norrie. It’s a cross-court winner and Norrie just trudges off to the side with his head down.

Murray and Soares take first set
The Brazilian press have reported that Jamie Murray and Bruno Soares are playing their last tournament together.
But it looks like the partnership won’t be ending today. The second seeds have just won the first set 6-4 against Italy’s Lorenzo Sonego and Matteo Berrettini.

Cam’s got to do something here to change things up because it’s just not working at the moment.

Benchetrit holds
*Norrie 3-6 0-2 Benchetrit
15, 30, 40-0… Benchetrit is making light work of this. He doesn’t get the love hold though as he uncharacteristically skews a forehand but gets the job done a few seconds later.
