Literally if I think about this book too much I’m gonna lie down and cry
#(the book in question is the mars house by natasha pulley)#i just….. aghhh stop reading these tags if you don’t want spoilers for the book#max having been in love with river and river being completely and utterly oblivious was both funny and heartbreaking for some reason#real aubrey was almost the most interesting character in this. them giving january a hug just got sweeter and sadder when i found out#who they actually were and what they were actually doing there#like considering what ends up happening between january and aubrey… and they HUGGED…#before they even spoke properly aubrey realised january needed a hug and hugged him. even though it could’ve messed up everything for them#i am obsessed with river i will never be able to explain it#i finished this book like an hour ago and i have been a mess since#is this how all natasha pulley books are?? because i feel like i got put through so many emotions#get me her whole bibliography immediately i’ll be so normal about it i promise (lying)#personal
