The Times: Sebastian and Kimi, do you ever miss each other as teammates and can you say what the best qualities were about each other as a teammate?

Kimi Raikkonen: The meetings are a lot shorter now, now that we’re not in the same meetings any more. Or in the same team. We see each other still. I enjoy it, for sure, it was very good but we were friends before and it never changed and it’s still the same so life goes on. I think it’s always been very honest with Seb so it’s easy, easy going.

The Times: His best qualities?

Kimi Raikkonen: Straightforward, honest.

Sebastian Vettel: I can only return. Obviously now the meetings are not as short as they were which is a pity. Yeah, as Kimi said, we’ve sort of got on with each other before, had respect for each other and it’s the same now. Best qualities? Straightforward and honest! Yeah. No, I think the interesting thing is, even if, no, we look very different from the outside in terms of what people think but I think inside, as I said, we got along with each other fairly quickly right from the beginning and it’s probably because we share a lot of the same values and key to that is there were never any games or any attempt to play anything or… just no attempt to waste time, basically.

When camillasgirl met Camilla...

Some of you might already have seen that I had the great honour of meeting The Duchess of Cornwall and The Prince of Wales today.

So, first things first. Here’s the most amazing picture ever (taken by the lovely Arthur Edwards ♥ as all pictures that will follow)! Camilla and Tanja side by side:

So, how did it all start?

As soon as I saw that Camilla and Charles were coming to Germany, I was sure I had to go. My friend @kriiistiiieee and I booked Leipzig in Mid-March and well, obviously, I had to write her that I was coming.

Exactly one week ago I received an invitation from the British Embassy - at Camilla’s request! I was asked to be present for the book signing at the old town hall. As you can imagine, I was absolutely over the moon. 

When Kristina and I arrived today everyone was so lovely and kind, it was incredible. The first known face we saw was Arthur and we were so excited- I mean, who dosen’t love Arthur Edwards? Moments later Charles and Camilla walked past us and Camilla and I were sharing a smile. Then they signed the visitor’s book and I had a moment to talk with Belinda from Camilla’s team, she was so lovely as well.

As soon as the books were signed Camilla went over to me!!! You can probably imagine how happy and excited I was. Camilla was wonderful and she even introduced me to Charles, who knew about my blog as well. He actually told me that I was “very kind” and had done “a lot of good things”. Charles then joined a student group, but Camilla still stayed a while to talk to Kristina and me. We were introduced to her press team, which was great! 

When I asked her for a photo she didn’t hesitate, introduced me to Arthur and, well, he did take some lovely photos.

Camilla did even have a small present for me in my favourite colour, which was so thoughtful of her.

I cannot believe today actually happened. Of course, I always day-dreamt of meeting her, but I never thought it was ever going to be a real thing. Camilla was so incredibly kind and nice and so beautiful. I always heard people gushing about how she was even prettier in real life and how she was able to put people at ease. Well, she is even prettier in real life and she’s an amazing human being, she just lights up everything.

Today has been the best day of my life and I’m so thankful she took the trouble and time to see me and to talk to me. She really is the best person in the world and I shall remember today all days of my life. I never thought I’d be able to love her even more, but I do. I’m enchanted more than ever and I feel so honoured and blessed.

It’s still a lot to take in and if this is all a little messed up or too long or whatever, I’m sorry. But I still haven’t grasped today. I probably won’t for quite some time.

I just love her. I always will.
