rly interesting thing is that no matter how objectively awful he is i can't help but feel a weird sense of like, offense at thenardier being so shitty. it's like how if a werewolf or vampire is killing people i still feel weird abt thinking of them as a villain or whatever bc like? werewolves and vampires are my best friends that often represent marginalized groups
