saw your tags on that Wolfy post, did you not notice the Jesus/Vash parallels? I think at one point Nai makes a direct comparison, and of course Christian imagery is everywhere (obviously Nico's 'cross', but in one of the dreams in the finale child Nai is shown reading the Bible). This isn't meant to be mean or rude at all, just pointing out things I saw!

NO OK BC LISTEN i saw bits and pieces but i wasn't raised in a christian household and i think the jewish ancestors had their hands over my ears whenever schools tried to force christianity on us so when i tell you literally all i know about the bible is from supernatural gomens and trigun i am Not kidding. vash being a jesus figure did not click until someone pointed out woowoo was judas coded

#genuinely there is such a power move in my jewish ass walking past a cross and thinking of my blorbo #also fun abby lore i got into vashwood before i ever watched the show so i did NOT know the cross was real #i knew he had a big gun named the punisher and it took me a good few minutes of seeing him on screen to put two and two together #never underestimate my ability to have very very obvious things fly over my head it's sometimes genuinely impressive #in that same vein i also didn't understand for YEARS why eugene brought rapunzel to the snuggly duckling. i DID not get it
