Deshret, through the Goddess of Flower’s sacrifice of herself and the oasis, is able to learn the secrets of the elixir of life... the key to breaking the shackles of the material world.
The Goddess of Flowers, in her role as the goddess of dreams, was able to act as a bridge between the mortal (material) and the divine.
Dream images (phantasms) are created by the perception of the material world, and allow for transition/connection to the divine through phantasia. The process is doable due to her “divine sacrifice creating the bridge to salvation” (higher knowledge).
However, creating the bridge is not the only thing required, since it’s creation is useless if someone does not become saved (learn the truth of ascension, which luckily Deshret is able to do through pure willpower.
Deshret returns to the mortal realm. Using the dreams of the sacrificed, the dissolved material of the sky, the divine nail, and the gold stones deep within the earth he creates his mirror of the divine, his illusory paradise. The only difference between his illusion and that of the material realm os that he is the ultimate authority in his bubble… the determiner of fate. The laws are his to define.
[The Unified Civilization, but Deshret]
Now that the formula for the elixir of immortality is known, the only thing left to do is churn it through the dreams of mortals. In truth, the mortals are giants. Nephilim. The long-lived half-god off-spring spawned from the Watchers (most likely Deshret).
One of his divine envoys, Liloupar, finds the person she believes is capable of being Deshret’s proxy, Ormazd. With the help of Liloupar and the Jinn, he rebuilds the Eternal Oasis, and swears to protect it.
And that is where things begin to go wrong. Ormazd, consumed by power and ambition, cares not for the people coming under his rule. He becomes a tyrant like those before him.
[The Anger of the Divine Envoys]
Liloupar, disgusted by her mortal lover’s transgressions decides to punish him for 3 generations. Their daughter Shirin is a curse in waiting, as is her future husband who is unknowningly also her half-brother, Kisra.
Strange… the divine envoys of the primordial one were also angered by human arrogance…
Kisra appears at first as a boon to Ormazd’s campaign to unite the 99 brass and mortar cities across the desert. Invincible. Hero. The Spirit of Victory. Ormazd adopts him and offers his daughter Shirin’s hand and marriage… a meer orphan risen to the pinnacle of royalty.
But what are the chances of Kisra and Shirin ever ruling when there are 300 other children of Ormazd?
Pretty high when Liloupar plots them all to be murdered.
Through an accidental delivery by Shirin of the poisoned honeyed… the nectar of the gods and truth corrupted through her mother’s insidious plot… Ormazd and all 300 of his children are slain.
And thus does Kisra rule.
Kisra’s corruption was almost immediate, if not long in the making. Like a seed waiting for the right moment to sprout.
Liloupar teaches him the forbidden knowledge of the skies. Of the machines and their power. How to infuse the Jinn into them.
In the darkness of dreams, she teaches him of a machine to eat dreams to create an infinite deluge of objects. A machine he is more than happy to create, and is more than willing to further break the mind of Shirin for to get her distorted jinn creations to use as fodder.
Oh, Sophia…
[Arrival of the Apocalypse]
The abyss has truly taken root in Deshret’s illusory realm, but it isn’t until the battle escalates beyond control that the corruption gains Deshret’s attention. Kisra has turned into a dark monster, likely from the assassination by his son, Shiruyeh. The city is drowning in blood and slaughter until it’s swallowed by the abyss, and Liloupar basks in her success.
[Elemental Balancing]
Deshret, furious at her actions, splits her soul into 7 parts, spread out across 7 points to align with the elements. An attempt to combat the destructive power of the abyss by spreading out the karmic seeds across elemental points.
Which almost works. (Kind of like the archon war maybe almost worked).
Except forbidden knowledge has already permeated the dreams of the realm. The samsara begins, and the sins repeat like the reflections of a shattered mirror. The details change, but their fates are the same, their sins unchangeable. They are a permanent reflection of corrupted human ambition, jinn vengeance, and abyssal poison.
The elixir of immortality could not be created through Deshret’s realm. The Amrita formed through the ocean of dreams, the key to breaking the shackles of the world, forever out of reach.
But he can’t let the poison spawned from his actions, the poison he “accidentally consumed”, spread outside of his illusion.
With the help of Rukkhadevata, he sacrifices himself. Destroying the spread of forbidden knowledge, and sinking his dream beneath the sand forever.
 or so we’re told…
The End… for now
This is a very rough draft hc on Deshret’s realm mimicking the failures of the primordial one (unified -> divine envoy -> destruction -> 7 cities -> destruction -> the primordial one is gone), so don’t take it too seriously . Also I’ll edit it multiple times so yeah.
Based on combo-ing ideas for:
“Alistor, or The Spirit of Solitude” poem ; amrita ; eternal recurrence ; Plato’s theory of forms ; philosophical view of phantasms ; Gnostic concepts ; vibro-crystal harmonics ; and uh… probably other stuff I don’t feel like linking anymore I’m lazy

[Genshin Ask Game]
Okay so, spoiler warning for Fontaine AQ ahead!
. . . I think Childe...
may be dead. Like, not in the way that "he has death flags he is going to die eventually" but actually that he is dead right at this moment. He's a walking corpse.
I think the fatui want to revive the third descender and they're trying to collect the gnosi because they want to put the fragments back together to do just that.
Fun fact here: Childe may even be that third descender as indications are pointing to the fact that he isn't from Teyvat (I know he technically has a family but there is an explanation to that somewhere I'm sure.) One indicator: There is an achievement against the Childe boss that is called Outlander vs. Outlander (and if the Outlander is meant in the same way as the Outlander refers to the Traveler... sus).
Another thing is that it would explain his dead fish eyes if he was in fact dead at the moment. Skirk said in the Fontaine AQ that once a person dies their bond with the world becomes like a curse and that is the reason she refuses to go back to the surface - she too has dead eyes.
Childe is also referred to as the "weapon of war" by the tsaritsa. So maybe that refers to him being the weapon against the heavens because he is the vessel for the gnosi or even the dead third descender.
Also fishy that Childe was never allowed to touch a gnosis directly so far. There was always something in between him and them *coincidentally*.
Oh and then there is also this:
and this (which might actually not even be hollow talk to gas himself up):

OK ABOUT KAEYA'S VISION BEING GRANTED BY THE SINNER
(this is eintrely just rapid brainstorming and nothing I say here should be taken as fact)
Firstly, ive never paid much attention to the fact that dainsleif has a 'vision'. In fact I didnt even think khaenri'ahn could have visions. Thats beacause up until recently we thought the archons or at least celestia gives out visions to whomever they want. And why would they give fragments of divine power to filthy sinners right?
But the two facts that archons cant pick who they give visions to AND that basically whoever has authority over that specific element can grant a vision CHANGES EVERYTHING.
LIKE what if all khaenri'ahn vision (if they really had them) are granted by the sinner not just kaeya's?
One point i'd like to make is that this could be somewhat of an evidence that the sinner has connections to nibelung. Each dragon has authority over one element so the dragon king should have authority over all elements. Which means he can grant any vision he wants since you need to have control of an element to grant its vision. (I know you technically need to have FULL control over that element which nibelung did not have but still worth mentioning.(irmin=sinner=nibelung??? Sinner=vedrfolnir??? Irmin=nibelung=/=sinner? Three diffrent people???)
This could also explain the sinner's insistance of not being called a god since khaenriah was the pride of human kind and to recieve power from a god would not be a good look
ALSO about the sinner/lucifer connections first I like to double down the morning star thing thats something id noticed as well, SECOND, do you think we could say that the sinner convinced clothar to sin as the devil does? with granting a momentary pleasure (caribert regaining consiousness) which would later have grave consequences (whatever tf happened to caribert after we passed out)
Now im not entirely convinced that the missing wings on kaeya's vision are meant to represent clipped wings BUT if they are it would explain some things
*deep breath*
About the archons demon name abyss angel name thing
Intrestingly both the archons AND the abyss are things foreign to teyvat
The heavenly principles (who would later establish the archon regime) invaded teyvat and nibelung brought forbidden knowledge from outside of teyvat to try to defeat them
HOWEVER
In the words of clothar alberich first of his name founder of the abyss order the khaenri'ahns believed whoever controls the abyss controls teyvat.
Im sure everyone's heard of the 'teyvat is upside down' theory by now. I wont get into it now cuz thats a 20,000 feet deep rabbit hole, but if we assume that theory to be true (which is very likely) then wouldnt everything thats up actually be down and vice versa? And so wouldnt the abyss and its followers that mostly occupying the undergrounds of teyvat actually be in the sky?? ANGELS???? AND WOULDNT CELESTIA BE IN HELL? OR BE HELL ITSELF? THAT WAY ITD MAKE SENSE WHY ARCHONS HAVE DEMON NAMES
I KNOW I SAID I WOULDNT GET INTO THE UPSIDE DOWN THEORY THING BUT FFS AS WE GO 'LOWER' AND 'DEEPER' INTO THE SPIRAL ABYSS WE LITERALLY CLIMB STAIRS TOWARDS THE SKY
wHICH- *deep breath* WOULD EXPLAIN THE HECATE THINGS
IF THE SEELIES CREATED BY THE ABYSS GODDESS ARE ANGELS THE ABYSS IS HEAVEN???
AND IF THATS THE CASE WHY TF IS KHAENRIAH UNDERGROUND
(btw im NOT saying khaenriahns are angels/saints or anything. If theres one hill im willing to die on when it comes to genshin lore its khaenriah truly being a civilization made by humans for humans and sustained by humans. And I will be jumping out a window if later in the game it turns out oh lo and behold they actually had a god afterall just not one of the usurpers or smth like that)
Theory: Kaeya's Vision was Given to Him by The Sinner and his Vision Gives us a Major Hint as to The Sinner's Identity.
can we talk about kaeya's vision? i've been dying to talk about kaeya's vision again.
(spoilers for everything up until 4.2)
good news, we finally got some more insight on what visions are! according to neuvilette's character story, when a person's desire reaches the heavens, archons are dutybound to put aside a shard of their mastery for them. this "mastery" originally belongs to the seven sovereigns.
To continue to subdue and control the resentments and loathing of the world, the usurper and one who came after created the Gnoses together. So it came to be that an order was made to be upheld, and thus did humans come to only possess these seven remembrances, and all fragments of the primordial were driven to devour each other. From that day on, whenever a person's wishes reached the heavens, the seven overseers of the material realm were duty-bound to grant them a gift. Though they might know nothing of who or what wish had stepped into the threshold of the sacred, the Seven Archons still had to impart a shattered shard of their mastery to that person.
after focalors destroyed the throne of the hydro archon, neuvilette gained complete authority over the hydro element. because he's a nice guy, he decided to also put aside some of his mastery to grant visions to people.
furina is one such person.
here's the cool part; her vision looks different from other fontainians. the decoration combines ousia and pneuma elements and there are four little fangs holding the vision in place.
KAEYA'S VISION
that brings me back to the conundrum that is kaeya's vision. before furina, he was the only character with a vision that deviated from the norm.
there are two unique oddities about his standard vision: it's missing two wings; the strings on the back are on the other side: this is an indication that it's mirrored.
(for simplicity's sake i will ignore the vision on his other outfit since it's essentially modified to match zosimos' design.)
what if kaeya's situation is similar to furina's? and i'm not just talking about their never-ending masquerade… what if his vision was granted by someone else?
WHY ARE THE STRINGS ON THE RIGHT SIDE?
i have briefly talked about this before but mirrors are associated with the abyss. this lead me to believe that it's possible that kaeya's vision might have been given by the abyss/the sinner.
note how the strings on furina's gem also switch sides when she changes from pneuma to ousia. (pneuma (light) on the left and ousia (dark) on the right.)
it's relatively common knowledge by now that kaeya's kit shares similarities with abyss mages and heralds and that many khaenri'ahns were turned into abyssal creatures, (possibly due to them being in a similar situation as jakob ingold who possessed a "bit of the dark cold cosmos's power").
Paimon: And you said the people turned into monsters... You're trying to tell Paimon that the Abyss Order is not only related to Khaenri'ah but is actually the people of Khaenri'ah themselves!?
with the new information given, this theory seems more plausible. if neuvilette can give out visions, why not mr. purple crystal as well? if wishes can reach the "heavens", couldn't they also reach the abyss? we saw the crystal respond to clothar's praying and display a bit of creepy omniscience so you know it's powerful.
WHY IS THE VISION MISSING WINGS?
consider that the fangs on furina's vision is neuvilette's tongue-in-cheek way of hinting at him being a dragon, as his own personal touch. then could clipped wings hint towards the identity of whoever gave kaeya his vision? what do clipped wings indicate? fallen angels. what's a fallen angel? a sinner. 😏💯
Fallen angels are angels who were expelled from heaven. The literal term "fallen angel" does not appear in any Abrahamic religious texts, but is used to describe angels cast out of heaven or angels who sinned. Such angels often tempt humans to sin.
fun fact, the abyss mages are always chanting in ENOCHIAN which is popularized as the language of the angels.
The script for this language appears while Abyss Mages are chanting to regenerate their shields as well as over their heads when performing spells outside of combat. […] The script also appears in the yellow protective runes around the weak points of Automatons, where the mirrored glyphs for B, L, and G circle around the core. Ruin Guards are known to have been made by the people of Khaenri'ah, many of whom turned into "monsters of the Abyss," so this script was possibly used in Khaenri'ah as well.
way back in the first archon quest, an abyss mage speaks to kaeya in enochian. it's significant enough that they give us a subtitle to imply kaeya can understand this angelic language; we have been shown he knows other ancient languages as well, like the language of the hilichurls and a strange script in the manga.
Kaeya: There's no way hilichurls organized an ambush like this themselves — not with their limited mental capacity... Kaeya: Thus YOU were behind this. Hydro Abyss Mage: Gohus, Chiso Vonph.
perhaps a reach but kaeya has one giant wing on his outfit, possibly a reference to the most famous video game villain in history, sephiroth, the one-winged angel?
this one is not a reach because kaeya also owns a book called the adventures of angelos. angelos is from greek ἄγγελος which means angel.
Between the pages of "The Adventures of Angelos," you find a list of names written on a sheet of official Knights of Favonius letterhead paper.
a book named angel containing a list of names, just to show the traveler he has eyes everywhere is a little on the nose if you ask me.
*edit: i forgot to include the most obvious hint, kaeya's favorite hangout: angel's share. and in the book of revelation there is a star or angel that fell to earth known as wormwood, (apsinthion in greek), which is the name of a plant used to make absinthe, which in turn is thee main ingredient of death (in the) afternoon, kaeya's favorite drink. dainsleif also likes this drink.
Wormwood (ἀψίνθιον apsinthion or ἄψινθος apsinthos in Greek) is a star or angel which appears in the Book of Revelation.
another fun fact, nabu malikata's last name malikata, besides meaning queen, could also mean angels.
In Islam, angels (Arabic: ملاك٬ ملك, romanized: malāk; plural: ملائِكة, malāʾik/malāʾikah) are believed to be heavenly beings.
nabu malikata is a survivor of the seelie race who were abandoned by the heavens; they are heavily implied to be angels. she is also the originator of the jinn. huh, i wonder why kaeya gifted us a seemingly random lamp which is said to have housed a powerful jinni...
all this is pointing to the sinner being a fallen angel which makes sense since the archons have demonic names from the ars goetia, it stands to reason that higher abyssal beings should have angelic names.
in islam, there is a fallen angel named iblis who had four wings (like kaeya's vision) and who was chained up in the deepest part of hell (like the sinner), whose original name was azazil. khaenri'ah has some ties to arabic mythology, so who knows? this is just one possibility. interestingly enough, the names of four of the archangels ARE referenced in mona's magic circle but not azazil.
the interesting part about the crystal is that he denies being a god and addresses the traveller as "creature"… there has been some speculation that the dragon king nibelung is the sinner, but we honestly don't have enough information to make that leap.
**edit: the domain we find the sinner in is located inside the chasm. thousands of years ago, back when zhongli was still young, an entity known as the sun or solar chariot fell to teyvat forming the chasm. this was during the time the moon sisters fell.
according to one legend, they refer to the entity as a fallen star. the star stayed in the chasm until the archon war, but before it returned to the sky it permanently left a piece of itself behind.
also, the sinner's domain has enkanomiyan statues and architecture. in enkanomiya, there is an achievement you can get called phosphorus' guidance, which you get by following seelies. phosphorus is the greek name for the morning star. the latin name for the morning star is lucifer, now best known as the name of a fallen angel.
The Ancient Greeks called the morning star Φωσφόρος, Phosphoros, the "Bringer of Light". Another Greek name for the morning star was Heosphoros, meaning "Dawn-Bringer".
dawn-bringer, you say? reminds me of the harbinger of dawn kaeya gives you in the very beginning of the game. what are you trying to tell us, bud?
lastly, the traveler notes the upside down defiled statue of the anemo archon is similar to the sinner. the statue, of course, has wings. it's funny because when we meet kaeya for the very first time, it's in front of the anemo god statue in front of the cathedral... notably, both dainsleif, and kaeya in his hangout route do not go inside the cathedral.
Kaeya: Perfect. (Traveler), why don't you head into the Cathedral and invite Sister Barbara to join us? I'll look for another friend who's interested in helping us.
Dainsleif: When a non-believer steps onto holy ground, the result is never pretty.
WHY DOES THE VISION HAVE A MONDSTADT CASING?
khaenri'ah was outside of the rule of the seven, hidden from the gaze of the gods. we don't know yet if in days of old khaenri'ahns could receive visions but we do have dainsleif's character card to give us a clue.
The listed name of his Vision's element, as announced on his Chinese Character Card, is a set of indecipherable symbols.
so dainsleif does have a vision; it's just that it has manifested as something else, possibly because unlike kaeya-seemingly a normal human-he is cursed.
in any case, we've seen wanderer receive a complete sumeru vision despite not even being from there and arlecchino has a shneznayan casing despite loving her homeland fontaine. (although there might be some other shit going on with her.)
this means vision casings are tied to the region the receiver is in and has nothing to do with where a person is born. if neuvilette were to gift someone from outside fontaine a hydro vision, they would receive a casing from the region they're in. fontainians have pneuma or ousia alignments but arlecchino's shneznayan vision has no indication of what she is aligned with. though again, arlecchino is not a normal human being, who knows what's going on there.
Along with Divinity: Prologue [...] we should be conscious of the fact that what shapes our thinking, logic, culture, philosophy and aesthetics is not the archons themselves, but the objective environment that exists around us. This world around us is what we have inherited, and what this book shows is that the people of Teyvat have always been, and always will be, heirs to a divine legacy — but not to divinity itself.
(also thought it was pretty interesting how capitano calls the gnosis, the gnosis from inazuma instead of "the electro gnosis" or the "gnosis from the electro archon".)
aaand scene. please note that this is all kind of jumbled wild speculation and should not be taken as fact! this is all in good fun.

My current theory is that ( Puts tinfoil hat ) The ongoing gender war stuff in both CN and KR have definitely shifted how some 'waifu-collectors' see the female player base and therefore male characters in gacha games. There's definitely an ongoing narrative that women are the root of toxicity and more devs should adopt the waifu-only policy to appeal to as few women as possible and gatekeep their safe havens. The irony is that most of these people advocating to exclude women are using the vocal minority for their examples as to why, which is exactly what they don't want done to themselves. Basically, women should only play Love and Deepspace and men can play GFL2/AL/Snowbreak/Nikke etc. As long as women 'stay in their lane' they are satisfied, even though it's been shown that both men and women will pull for characters of the opposite gender and vice versa. Mixed cast games are trying to err on the side of caution because if they don't appeal to this crowd enough (by skewing the gender ratio harder, or by making more fanservice designs) then they will be brigaded on social media for appealing too much towards women or radical feminists.
omg yeah I feel like “gamer” men say this outright around the world from east to west. “women are coming into our games and making the women less sexy and everything more toxic” etc. attitude has ramped up. though it was always bad if you remember, in the west at least, the absolute insane violent tantrum reaction to Anita Sarkeesian for making like I cannot stress this enough just pretty basic feminist videos about video games. It was like seeing grown adult men have the same type of screaming tantrum a toddler would have when you tell him he can’t have an expensive toy at the store. except instead of one kid sitting on the floor screaming it was an unbelievable amount of men worldwide sitting in their computer chairs screaming and writing graphic rape threats and making full video games where you violently beat her. For the crime of just one woman talking about fucking Mario or whatever. THIS is how these men react when you do something as benign as that. I posted some more about this here.
you have no idea the insane shit that gets blamed on female fans or female employees of mixed sex gachas. A lot of that has been already posted here obviously so I’ll post something new I saw just so we can archive some more examples. Recently one of my friends from the infrared blog I sometimes repost here showed me this strange phenomenon happening on the Genshin impact leaks subreddit where a good amount of guys were accusing the developers of the game of being fujoshis because they thought a new female water character was being nerfed so that a previously released male water character would be the strongest water character. I thought this was a joke (my mistake) but it spanned a LOT of comments and got extremely heated. Later I found these comments in another thread there
Like this is the thought process. This sucked -> ok so probably a woman wrote it -> well most writers graduated from liberal arts schools, and most liberal arts students are women, so it was definitely a female writer. This is how easy it is for this type of “gamer” male to blame anything they hate on women. They did this for one of the stories in HSR that was disliked as well. If you look up “有男不玩” there are videos on bilibili but also some on YouTube where you can get snippets of how these guys are thinking about female gacha players. They share some similarities with all gamer men who think women are more frivolous, unskilled and don’t like action games. there were particular comments that reminded me of how Korean incels wrote about women, in that games should stop pandering to us altogether because we don’t have enough money, or if we do have money it’s because it’s coming from a boyfriend or male relative, or we’re all just playing f2p. ironically a huge amount of merch sales, IRL events and fan-PR like fanart comes from female players and they are usually the ones to stick around the longest I believe, but these guys only understand the money aspect of these games.
There are a lot of ones that were interesting but I don’t want to use too many since I was working with MTL, and then looking up individual phrases, and then retranslating some, and then looking up context, etc. lol. so when I have a better grasp on this I can make a better post.
in regards to how they find it ok if the games are sex segregated yes exactly,I posted about this earlier and probably a couple months ago too but this was most recent so it’s easiest to just copy here

So... I'm having Dainsleif brainrot once more. (I'm counting the days to the next quest now.)
I'd like to leave this little theory titbit here...
You know how Hoyo takes quite a bit of inspiration from Norse Mythology and a Norse Poem - a bit more specifically from an opera version from Richard Wagner, "Der Ring des Nibelungen". TL:DR, It's about a dawrf called Alberich from the Nibelungen and his treasure the Rhine Gold. The Gold is forged into a Ring that grands the bearer the power of ruling the land - the Ring gets stolen by the gods and out of spite, Alberich curses the Ring.
Now for tinfoil hat time... and Genshin Lore.
So, from Apep we learn the Nibelung left Teyvat in search for the Key to victory against the Primordial One, came back to Teyvat... aka. Descended to Teyvat with forbidden knowledge. So he and the sovereigns waged war, lost and died. - Apep said, with the right to shape the lands, the primordial one sent down the divine nails.
This is where the ring part comes in handy, because Zurvan during the Khvarena of Good and Evil world quest mentions that when she found Dainsleif in Tunigi Hollow, fighting off Abyss Monsters, he was tightly holding a ring.
Which has me think that the ring Dain is so tightly holding onto might be coming from Nibelung and/or directly from beyond Teyvat.
We will defy this world with a power from beyond.
-Dainsleif in the Trivail Trailer.
Now I'm thinking, that said ring is some sort of physical representation of said right to shape the land, much like it is in the Opera that went from Nibelung's hold to the Primordial One, but got corrupted by the Forbidden Knowledge he brought as some sort of Genshin's version of the curse Alberich put on the Ring when it was stolen by gods.
Dainsleif's constellation is "Snake Ring" and think snake and dragon are somewhat interchangable here; Apep for example looked more Snake-like, rather than Dragon-Like. like Dvalin or Durin, perhaps Nibelung did too.
I am now wondering if Khaenri'ah somehow got the ring "back" not knowing it was corrupted, therefore triggered the surge of Abyss Monsters and the Cataclysm itself. - Also possibly by the Sustainer looked corrupted and seems to be dormant for the last 500 years, even if one of her Archons is actively plotting against her and the other 6 being seemingly on board, even if Ei technically committed the same sin as Egeria by creating human-shaped life in form of Scaramouche, even if Focalors just destroyed one of the Divine thrones AND returned the Gnosis' authority to it's rightful owner. Just because she technically doesn't have the right to rule and shape the land anymore.
And the ring is now in Dainsleif's hands since, slowly corrupting him too and granting him whatever element he uses. And that he is, or well, holds the key to the endgame with that refering back to defying this world with a power from beyond - because he himself has learned to control and resist it. (Unless he's refering to the Traveler as the power from beyond.)

Okay so, bear with me a second here! Heavy theorizing about Genshin lore ahead. Take it with a huge grain of salt.
I was talking about the Harbingers with my friends and we were just talking about lore and theorizing about some stuff.
Someone brought up how Capitano could be someone from Khaen'riah since he isn't showing his face. Maybe due to the curse, who knows. And I said it's not entirely impossible to have a Khaenri'ahn amongst them since Pierro, too, is one.
Now. Capitano's codename in the Fatui is "The Captain", right?
And who do we know from Khaenri'ah who is also a captain?
Correct. Dainsleif.
So what if (and big if)... Dain is actually Capitano? And he and Pierro most likely know each other from back in the day as well.
I know they have different VA's but that's not entirely a deal breaker here imo. It could be some enchanted armor or whatever that alters the voice/disguises who is actually behind the mask. We had weirder things in Genshin already.

I absolutely love your recent al-haitham fic. and me knowing being obsessed with lore in (hopefully you dont mind me pouring this to you!) in 1.1 scara founds that the skies of teyvat is a fake “The stars, the sky... It's all a gigantic hoax. A lie.” Then in 3.3 i think or 3.2 we got to see dottore for the first time and revisit the question to nahida about the sky being fake. and theorists been trying to figure that if you get close to finding about the big lie the world resets or something and with khaneri’ah being the godless city they found out about it and the unknown god destroyed the city and the survivors were turned into monsters and resets teyvat. i hope this makes sense?! this what I remember from a genshin lore video lol.
Thank you so much!! It makes me so happy to hear that your loved it! :3
And I absolutely don't mind you pouring this to me because omg I am obsessed with Genshin lore and I could ramble about it all day, literally.
Without further ado *dons tinfoil hat* let me ramble about lore and theories a bit here.
I have heard about that theory and it seems to make sense to some extent...
Khaen'riah didn't have a god but it is said that they at least were proficient in the Art of Khemia (as indicated by Gold/Rhinedottir aka. Albedo' and Durin's creator). As well as creating the automatons you still find throughout the world. This to me shows that they were definitely striving for wisdom and knowledge.
Seeing as they were a nation without a god who could "keep them in check" maybe they strayed too far and Celestia destroyed the nation before they could find anything out and cursed them. My theory here is that Celestia may actually be in place to keep "nations in check", a keeper of sorts. Every time a nail dropped from it somewhere it lead to some horrendous events. most prominently I'm thinking about Dragonspine whose population was wiped out and the area was turned into a frozen wasteland by the Skyfrost Nail a long time ago. Maybe something similar happened in Khaen'riah.
It doesn't help that all the archons keep quiet about the Cataclysm as well which doesn't help. Like, come on guys, indulge my curiosity, I need to know!
Maybe the "time reset" theory is also why when we start the game we basically land in Teyvat 500 years after the Cataclysm whereas our twin has already been a part of the world for a long time (and also has recordings in Irminsul, therefore is no descender like we are - that part still confuses me a lot. Like I cannot wrap my brain around how that is supposed to be possible. Maybe we'll ask Dain about it in the new 3.5 AQ? I need answers.)
After finishing the Sumeru AQ however I had to think back on the Havria story quest of Zhongli. Then he says something like "as long as people like you exist nothing in this world will ever be forgotten."
It also didn't help that we got to experience a small-scale time loop in the Sumeru AQ which many saw as a hint of Teyvat as a while being one. Me included.
This could indicate that the Archons (at least the ones who were there for it) may be aware of the time reset. And so far that would only be Zhongli and Venti of the ones we know. And they're both sus if you ask me. And that could mean the Tsaritsa knows too and her plan of collecting all the gnosi has to do with it and trying to oppose this. I don't believe that the Fatui are truly the bad guys here. It would be too obvious.
I also saw a video recently, which could be a modded or altered version of Genshin so this has to be taken with a huge grain of salt. But one player found the "login screen" door over Teyvat in the sky and jumped off at the end only to then land directly on the hands of the statue of Venti in Mondstadt city - which is also inscribed as "Gateway to Celestia" at the bottom. If this is true this opens some more possible options for theories.
I remember watching a video that claimed Teyvat was a simulation and since they also renamed "mihoyo" to "hoyoverse" it could indicate that they're trying to create a multiverse that is loosely tied together. Therefore "Teyvat" is actually a simulation in Honkai Impact the 3rd. I think it was called "the Ark" (I don't play Honkai so I don't 100% know anymore what they said in the video).
That and the fact that the Unknown God from the beginning of the game looked a lot like Kiana Kaslana from HI3. This may mean that the Travelers tried to enter "Project Ark" for some reason and she tried to stop them.
So many possibilities it makes my brain smoke >.<
Sorry if this was all a bit all over the place and incoherent but I tried to write down as many of my thoughts about the "world is a lie and the sky is fake" thing in a hopefully somewhat understandable manner. I still always feel like this guy when rambling about the lore of this game. Because omg, what we're told through quests is so surface-level it's driving me nuts.
And you're welcome to ramble about lore to me any time. As you may see... I am quite invested myself 😂

Buckle up and don your tinfoil hats, folks!
Dust dives down the rabbit hole of theorizing about something from the Genshin Archon Quest in 3.1.
[and if it wasn't clear already - spoilers under the cut ahead]
So, now that is out of the way; I have been wondering about something.
You might remember the Scaramouche cinematic if you've played it. I was looking at it again and saw this kid in it that Scara is kneeling in front of.
And for some weird frickin reason, he seemed super familiar. So, I went ahead and rummaged through my brain and came to a conclusion... or rather a theory.
This cute little kid with the grey hair could be *drumroll*
Alhaitham. If you look closely at the screenshot of the cutscene; one tip of that boy's hair strand is a lighter gray than the roots. And guess who also has that feature? Out favorite Haravatat Scribe. The Ahoge and shape of the hair would loosely match, too.
He is a bit sus in general. His eyes especially. Going by the desert ruins of King Deshret. The symbols in there look an awful lot like his eyes. Which is another theory, about the man, the myth, the legend himself. He might be a reincarnation of King Deshret, similar to Nahida being Rukkhadevata's reincarnation.
The other possibility is that it is someone from the Kaedehara Clan, I don't think it's Kazuha since the red strand is missing from this perspective. But the house in the background could be an Inazuman house architecturally. As well as the clothes of the boy (although NPC clothes aren't really that different from region to region.)
Especially the pattern on the veil of Scara's hat has a pattern that can also be found on the knee of the kid and in the Namecard of Kazuha, which could indicate even more that the kid is a Kaedehara, maybe.
Or it's neither of those and just some random irrelevant NPC kid and I'm tripping.
