THE GIRLS AGAINST DESPAIR ZINE FINALLY ARRIVED! I was really worried it would be stuck in Canada forever but it shipped to my house in perfect condition and everything is accounted for!

The cover art is absolutely gorgeous.

The back cover is gorgeous too.

One more thing, this book is way bigger than I thought. Look at the size compared to the WLW DR Zine.

Now to show the the merch! As expected, it's all super cute.

I don't know where to put the stickers and washi tape. Maybe I'll get a sticker book.

The trading cards are really cool too. I love the quotes on the back of them.

And lastly, the keychains. My favorite of the merch.

I know I made this up like months ago and never shared it but um...here are these ideas in one au:

Chapter 2 victim Byakuya, who'd be knocked out with a heavy book but killed by being suffocated with the lamp wire in the library

Chapter 2 blackened Taka, who'd kill out of anger, confusion, and denial that Byakuya somehow knew his secret through blackmailing his family

Chapter 3 victim Chihiro, who'd die at the cost of Mondo's safety as he'd try and help Mondo after chapter 2

Antag Toko/Syo, who'd replace Byakuya's antag role to not let him down and belittle everyone especially Mondo for not wanting the blackened, Taka to die

Survivor Mondo, who'd have to witness the people trying to help him during the game die and go through a character arc of some kind

Hiro's still a survivor but he'd comfort Mondo through chapters 4-6, which I think would make him a reasonable survivor

I can't really go into this in more detail but I find it interesting so I hope you won't mind!

Chapter 2

I'll just start posting each chapter for the au I made up. I'm not sure how to get back to the summary post but you can probably check the hashtags. Also, this will go into the details of what goes down so sorry if this is too long

The Deepest Secrets Found.

While the motive will be the same, what are Taka and Byakuya's secrets? Well, Taka would most likely have to do with either the Ishimaru scandal, middle school, or both (Possibly being s*xu*lly *ss*ult*d by his grandfather during middle school*) and Byakuya's would probably have to do with the killing game his family got into and what occurred during it.

How Would the Original Chapter 2 Situation Play Out?

I do believe Chihiro wants to get stronger and him wanting to work out with Mondo will still happen, just at a different time and (most likely) place. At about 8-8:45pm Chihiro would ask Mondo if they can work out and tell Mondo his secret but Mondo, who would be still angered but not try to kill him, lashes out. Chihiro would do the best to help and ask if that's a no on the offer. After Mondo calms down, he agrees with Chihiro, admits he's supposed to study with Taka that night instead, and tells Chihiro to find someone else. Chihiro does and tries to give Sakura the same offer before it was time to go to bed. Sakura agrees and they work out in the morning.

During the Study Time, what happens?

At about 9-10pm, Taka and Mondo would study in the library about Genocide Syo without knowing that they were on the school premises. Taka would take notes and that will be important for later on.

The Library, the Location of Byakuya's Fate.

The morning after, Taka heads to the library to find more topics to study for Mondo when he come across Byakuya. Byakuya decides to have a personal conversation with Taka, mainly being about the Ishimaru scandal and that he knew that Taka was the victim. Taka would be in confusion and shock that he somehow found out, so he'd ask how he did know. Byakuya's answer was simple; Money. Taka, now more angered and offended then ever decides to burn Byakuya with the lamp on the table Byakuya laid one of his hands on. Byakuya, surprised would turn around and still continue belittling Taka's worth as a future prime minister. From not having great social skills to not being liked by people often in general, this would anger Taka more and as Byakuya continued on, he'd grab a heavy book on the shelf and apologize before he take a swing at Byakuya's head, making him go unconscious.

Taka panicked and tried to barricade the door. Not wanting to frame any of his classmates but not wanting to make it obvious, he decided to frame Genocide Syo without knowing that they were in the school and as he hung up Byakuya, Taka would strangle him during the process. He'd also hide a note in the heavy book, saying that only one person would be able to recognize the handwriting to find the blackened. Taka would unbaricade the library doors and walk out of the library, hoping that people would find out he did it during the trial.

A Body has been Discovered and the Trial Begins!

Toko wants to go see Byakuya in the library, so she gets Makoto to help her but they end up finding Byakuya's dead body there, which leaves Toko in deep despair and unconscious because of the blood. Mondo would be the third person to find Byakuya since he was going to wait for Taka for the time to study.

The trial begins and Taka tries to find a way to confess but a student ( Maybe Celestia?) would say it wouldn't work. Not long after, Mondo accuses Toko for acting strangely, which gets her faint and forced to be revealed as Genocide Syo.

As the trial got longer as the had to figure out if they were the blackened or not, Makoto and Kyoko point out that a note from the blackened wasn't looked over yet and decide to past the note around to the rest of the students but no one seemed to recognize it ( Taka had to lie despite him wanting to tell the truth himself.) until the note was passed to Mondo last, who quickly pointed out that the handwriting was the same as Taka's study notes. This is when Taka confesses and the whole class, especially Mondo would be shocked and in disbelief that their ultimate moral compass had committed murder. Mondo would try and defend him but Makoto would quickly object as Taka didn't want to be defended.

Taka's Final Moments with the Class.

Taka reveals his motive behind what he did, being that his emotions got to him and that he wanted to keep everyone's secrets anonymous but Monokuma would reveal his and Byakuya's secret anyway, which would make him feel worst. Monokuma also reveals that Mondo voted for himself instead of Taka since he was still in disbelief. None the less, Taka would probably tell him something like this:

" You don't need to defend me. I don't deserve to get out alive for committing such a horrible crime! I wanted to live but until I realized I killed one of my classmates, I knew I had to be held accountable!"

Taka tells Monokuma to get with the execution as Mondo says otherwise and surprisingly, Monokuma goes with what Taka asked for because of despair's sake.

The Execution and the Aftermath...

The execution would be Prime Minister Kiyotaka Ishimaru's Inaugural Parade ( His unused execution) and Mondo would be forced to watch from a fence. As the parade float would move, Taka would try to find Mondo, look at him, and feel bad that he has to witness him die, a close friend during the game. To make things worse, after that moment, Taka would be shot in the heart, killing him off.

After the execution, Mondo would be in such deep despair that he would do something he usually wouldn't show; crying. But, Syo would just laugh and belittle him, calling him weak just like everyone else in the game. They both almost get into a fight before Makoto and possibly Chihiro stop them from getting any further.
