“I love code and the tech behind it, but I would like my work to make a human connection first,” says Gerhard Koenderink (@design.brand.art). The Dutch designer and creative director started to learn to code two years ago in order to explore his artistic concepts, ideas and moods through digital experimentation. “The beauty of creative coding is that it’s fast, vast, flexible and sometimes unexpected. The only limit is knowledge, technology and time. Data for me is everything, a tool that opens up the door to play. Currently, I’m in the code and hardware learning mode. One week might be trying to understand the fundamentals of neural networks, followed up by generative design, GLSL (a shading language) or slamming them all together to see what happens. Most of my work renders algorithmically in real time and what you are seeing is only a 10-second snapshot,” he says. “I try to make each piece have its own personality, flow and rhythm, through a healthy obsession on the little ‘organic’ nuances. This piece was created during the lockdown and I just wanted to escape into this sunny, warm and chill place. The cool thing right now with my art is that I’m my own client — it’s super liberating and totally frightening at the same time.” #ThisWeekOnInstagram Video by @design.brand.art Follow Us @gencosysinc 🤺 here, we will love ❤️ to see you in Followers list 😊 #beyondthetechnology #GencosysUSA #Gencosys #GencosysCareer #ExploreInfinite (at World Wide) https://www.instagram.com/p/CFFr0uTh3Dy/?igshid=1hzehzcsts1mf

Could California become its own crypto-country? 🤔 ⠀ ☑️‘Calexit’ is now a crypto-friendly independence initiative. ⠀ ☑️A Brexit-inspired plan wants to make California its own nation, separate from the USA. 👉🏼The people behind the plan are now looking to establish cryptocurrencies as the financial backbone of the proposed nation. ⠀ ☑️The movement is called “Yes California,” though it is more commonly known as the “Calexit movement.” 👉🏼The group recently appointed a Blockchain expert named Alastair Caithness to analyze how an economy based on digital assets like Bitcoin (BTC) could be used to guarantee a Universal Basic Income, or UBI, for citizens. 👉🏼Caithness praised the idea of a future crypto-based economy, which he believes could “finance a level of free healthcare, free education, and a form of basic income” at a scale that has never before been seen. He went on to say that Californians “have struggled to achieve economic liberty” under the financial system established by the US federal government. ⠀ ✔️Scottish-national Caithness, who is residing in San Diego, also stated that people investing in land and property through crypto transactions could help boost the proposed implementation of Universal Basic Income. 🗣Marcus Ruiz Evans, Yes California’s president, is advocating for these independence measures as well. 🗣He claims that California is the “world’s fifth-largest economy,” and praised Caithness’ advice in adopting crypto, stating “people need assistance, especially right now, and the government is struggling to come up with somebody.” ⠀ He continued: 🗣“It is also good to have a Scotsman now living in California involved in our project, as the model for a Sovereign California has been developed from the Scottish Independence Referendum.” ☑️According to Yes California, the state government has agreed to hold a public petition into “Calexit” this year. They claim that a possible formal voting process could take place by 2024. ✔️California’s Senate Banking and Financial Institutions Committee recently passed a bill seeking to define digital assets and measure their impact on state and consumer protections. #Gencosys #Blockchain #GencosysUSA

After a recent update, Microsoft Defender antivirus which is built into Windows 10 can be used by hackers to remotely download malware and other files. The recent Microsoft Defender update brought with it a new command-line argument called DownloadFile. This directive allows a local user to interact with the Microsoft Antimalware Service command-line utility (MpCmdRun.exe) to download a file from a remote location using the command MpCmdRun.exe –DownloadFile –URL [download resource address] –path [save directory]. According to reports, this feature was added in Microsoft Defender 4.18.2007.9 or 4.18.2009.9. The enthusiasts conducted several experiments, during which they managed to download the resources.exe file, which is the WastedLocker ransomware, which was used by cybercriminals in a recent attack on wearable electronics manufacturer Garmin using the command mentioned. This problem was first discovered by information security researcher Mohammad Askar. Finding it means Microsoft Defender joins a long list of Windows operating system programs that can be used by cybercriminals to conduct cyber attacks. The good news is that Microsoft Defender itself detects malware downloaded using MpCmdRun.exe, but it’s unclear if third-party antivirus software is capable of preventing malware from downloading through this feature. WhatsApp has revealed six previously undisclosed vulnerabilities, which the company has now fixed. The vulnerabilities are being reported on a dedicated security advisory website that will serve as the new resource providing a comprehensive list of WhatsApp security updates and associated Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE). WhatsApp said five of the six vulnerabilities were fixed in the same day, while the remaining bug took a couple of days to remediate. Although some of the bugs could have been remotely triggered, the company said it found no evidence of hackers actively exploiting the vulnerabilities. Around one-third of the new vulnerabilities were reported through the company’s Bug Bounty Program, while the others were discovered in routine code reviews and by using automated systems, as would be expected. WhatsApp is one of the world’s most popular apps, with more than two billion users around the world. But it’s also a persistent target for hackers, who try to find and exploit vulnerabilities in the platform. The new website was launched as part of the company’s efforts to be more transparent about vulnerabilities targeting the messaging app, and in response to user feedback. The company says the WhatsApp community has been asking for a centralized location for tracking security vulnerabilities, as WhatsApp isn’t always able to detail its security advisories in an app’s release notes due to app store policies. The new dashboard will update monthly, or sooner if it has to warn users of an active attack. It will also offer an archive of past CVEs dating back to 2018. While the website’s main focus will be on CVEs in WhatsApp’s code, if the company files a CVE with the public database MITRE for a vulnerability it found in third-party code, it will denote that on the WhatsApp Security Advisory page, as well. #whatsapp #computerscience #computerengineering #cybersecurity #infosec #encryption #IoT #AI #dataprotection #privacy #hacking #hacker #pentest #tech #datascience #code #coding #linux #java #programming #programmer #webdeveloper #digital #technology #security #GencosysCyberSecurity #Gencosys #GencosysUSA
