I ordered some jewelry for the first time in years. It isn’t anything fancy — just a gold chain with a teardrop jade pendant.

The weird part of this situation is that I chose to get green jade and I googled the properties of the gemstone just now. Apparently, birth colors are a thing — like lucky colors for certain horoscopes.

I am a Taurus born in May and the lucky colors for May are green, pink, and white. And green and pink have been my favorite colors since childhood. This just seems extremely odd to me.
