Addigems

When I watched the anime Houseki no kuni and started reading the manga of the same name, I caught a hyperfix on these stones. Since I also have a hyperfixation on deltarune, I wanted to “combine” two of my favorite art phenomena. I started with spamton (last post) and continued with other addisons, which I call addigems (addisons + gemstones).

Please accept them with love and don't blame me for the clichés, I'm just a stoned guy who doesn't know much about how to write characters correctly.

Pink Addison — Rose quartz, a patrolman who knows thems job, love silence and the sound of rustling grass, speak little, love to spend time with Chrysoberyl. When Halite renounced the addigems Rose (or Ti, because it contains titanium) became more withdrawn, they blame themselves for this.. They/them.

Yellow Addison — Chrysoberyl, an impulsive patrolwoman who actually dreams of being a armorsmith, her personality is very impulsive and sharp. They/she.

Blue Addison — Smithsonite with inclusions of Aurichalcite, a doctor and herbalist who feels like a burden to all addigems, they very fragile due to the inclusions of Aurichalcite, which make spherical cavities of different sizes in them, this happened due to the fact that they “stayed” in the deposit and part of they were over-oxidized, in love with Topaz, but never mention it, their consciousness is not here for long. They/them.

Orange Addison —Topaz (Imperial Topaz), a lone patrolman who likes to relax and do nothing, likes to take errands from Smith (such as collecting some necessary herbs), does not like to change, and when something changes around him, however, when Smith's arms and legs are taken away he falls into despair, he does not know how to help those whom he values so much. Topaz's mental state begins to go downhill after the moment when Smith asks to crush his head, as they are tired of being conscious. After this request, Topaz becomes fixated on revenge, stops using any tactics, and subsequently loses his hands. He replaces his hands with 1900 liters of Pyrite, which Chrysoberyl dragged. After “merging” with iron sulfide, Topaz acquired hydrophobia, and his character became more aggressive. He/they.

London Blue Topaz aesthetic moodboard!!

been really into redesigning my gemsonas' outfits lately so here's all the ones i've done so far :)

i'm also changing purple topaz to kunzite bc i think that fits better for her lol

I gave her a casual 1920s vibe to mix both of their looks together!

I think it'd be pretty cool if people made Gemsonas based on their birthstones

(bonus: since my birth month is December, my choices are Turquoise, Tanzanite, Zircon, Lapis Lazuli or Blue Topaz :D)

^This was my attempt to make a design for an Alexandrite, a non-fusion version of her anyways (I never colored in the gem I didn’t know how to)

This was Moonstone, the sona I originally was talking of. Below is what I wrote on page written out cause it’s sorta hard to see (also spelling mistake fixing kind of). In brackets is just my addition commentary if you care to read.

(Top part) She is normally calm and wise representing the right side, but she can also get wild and crazy, representing the left side [I wrote this to be on her right/left and not mine for some reason…also think her hair was supposed to be in a thick braid but ofc I didn’t draw that]

(Left side, bubbled portions) Her crescent eyes can see both in the future and into other universes. [I was worried I was making her TOO much like Garnet with this ability so I added in that last part…good going me lmao]

Her gem, a moonstone, is her nose.

(Right side, bubbled portions) She is not a fusion, and is an extremely rare gem due to powers and eyes.

Her weapon of choice are moonstars- the white half can blind the victim while the black part slows them down, but only for a few minutes [I remember “slow down” meaning like slowing down time wise which would only affect the target it hit which…idk how a weapon works time like that but whatever]

(Left side, bottom part) Used to work for White Diamond, but soon joined the rebellion. Sadly, she went corrupt because she fuzed with Blue Topaz who was going corrupt at the time, but didn’t tell Moonstone because they were being attacked by a group of Homeworld gems. It was the only way to survive. [Basically Blue Topaz was ANOTHER character I wanted to make so Moonstone would have a friend…I never wrote or drew of them but I wanted to make them look like the yellow topaz that appear canonically in the show just blue to be different 😭]

(Right side, bottom part) She was then bubbled up for safety in the basement, but has since returned living her life with her companion Blue Topaz- another member if the rebellion. [Never explained how the Crystal Gems got ahold of her]

And I would be her!
