//Eventually these guys will get their own dedicated references but for now if you ever wanted to know what the Sneaks and Souffle family looks like here you go!
//As a bit of a reminder as to who is who!
//Sneaks is Casi's first partner Pokemon! He is very old but still going strong! He's a Mt. Coronet Weavile with some Hisuian lineage, though this doesn't manifest in any particular way and is actually pretty common for Mt. Coronet native Sneasels. Casi may have issues around the color red but she loves her Weavile so much and insists that his feathers are a deep cranberry color. His identifying features include the symmetrical facial markings, orange colored gem, and alternating crest colors.
//Gelato is Lissie's prized Absol! Former battler, former mega Pokemon, and he still can be in a pinch. These days his main job is to be a service Pokemon, alerting for potential health issues or PTSD episodes. His identifying features include his long nose, larger than average claws, long and straight horn, and curly mane fur.
//Souffle is a former show Absol. At a glance people believe she's a shiny, but in actuality she is simply a standard Absol with albinism. Her albinism leaves her hair thin and gives her a gradient color. Souffle has more distinctly cat-like features, larger rounder eyes and a shorter snout than Gelato. She has anxiety, leaving her a trembling mess that tends to alert to danger more frequently than necessary, but Casi and Lissie are making progress in easing her stress. Growing closer to Sneaks has also seemed to help.
//Parfait and Mall Goth are the result of Sneaks and Souffle growing closer than either of their trainers realized. Each took after their parent's coloration in rather odd ways. Unlike most Sneasels, Parfait's feather is on the same side as an Absol's horn. His spotted pattern will likely fade as he grows older, but it's unclear by how much. Parfait doesn't appear to be a true albino Pokemon, he's just pink. Maybe he really is shiny... Mall Goth's horn is still growing in, being regularly capped with a pool noodle so that she doesn't accidentally hurt herself or someone else. Despite the thick fringe over her eyes, she seems to be able to see perfectly fine.

~ OFF-SCREEN POST ~
A good researcher knows when there’s an opportunity to further their knowledge, a great researcher knows when something is well above their level, and a researcher with a death wish wades into something way above their head. Jaycé knew this was not only a stupid idea, but one they were willing to throw caution into the wind on. Though the nerves screamed at them to turn back, they just tightly gripped the ancient looking pokeball at their hip, thumb gently rubbing over a small blue gem inlay. It did not matter to them that the pokeball was empty, instead it served as a reminder of just how stupid this plan was.
A step forwards, a tug on a rope tightly wrapped around a large boulder, and the unwilling descent into the unknown darkness. A theory had to be proven, or even just entertained, as Jaycé rappelled themselves down into the untouched ruins of Geosenge. Beneath them in the dark, the low groan of support beams not yet collapsed echoed throughout the crater. Chills raced down their spine as they lowered themselves further and further down into the dark. Lower and lower they sank, eventually making contact with the ground and firmly planting themselves on the lowest level. A deep sigh escapes their shaking body as they quickly knelt down to the ground to calm themselves. They sat there for a bit until their nerves screamed at them to move.
In a quick motion, Jaycé stands and  flicks on the lamp hanging at their hip, illuminating the desolate ruins before them. Overhead, a loud rushing sound could be heard amongst the groaning metal and soft drip drip drop of water further off in the dark. Jaycé tugged at the rope hanging beside them before unhooking themselves and stepping out further. The lamp at their hip swayed with their steps, casting long shadows on the forgotten technology shattered before them. Jaycé knew this room well, with two broken pedestals and large industrial tubing draping the floor. A shudder ran down their spine, hand back at the ancient pokeball nervously.
Further steps, echoing loudly. The only sound this place hasn’t heard in years. A soft crunch echoed in the dark, looking down, the plastic of a keyboard key shattered underneath Jaycé’s boots. More walking and soon before them, a doorway stood, the heavy metal door just barely ajar as they squeezed through into a control-room of sorts. Large panels of knobs and buttons scattered the floor, with some consoles crushed under large chunks of concrete and quickly rusting steel beams. Further along in the room, there’s a raised platform, a single console barely intact, with a small framed photo resting face down on the surface. Jaycé inhales sharply as they get closer, hand shaking slightly as they reach a gloved hand towards the frame. The broken glass from the frame falls to the floor with a soft clink. The photo, albeit folded and damaged from water around the edges, shows an absol wearing a pair of Flare uniform sunglasses. A small whimper escapes Jaycé’s lips as they hold the photo, hands now trembling.
“Oh, Gelato. Did he have to turn you away?” Their words echo through the emptiness. They sigh and carefully pluck the photo out of the crumbling frame, tucking it away into a small pocket on their bag. Their curiosity gets the better of them as they push a chair away from the desk and kneel down to sort through the drawers. The bottom one is heavy and filled with water and molding paperwork, Jaycé holds their breath as they quickly close it. The second one is drier, but full of nothing interesting. The third, uppermost one, is mostly full of silly personal items. Jaycé bites their lower lip as they carefully sort through everything. Pulling out a few items to tuck away, until they freeze, hand hovering over a small familiar box. They shake their head and look away as they reach down and carefully pull the box out of the drawer. With a shaky breath, they look over at the item in hand. It’s a set of dice, a deep maroon color with black numbering and small white sakura blossoms with branches etched into the metal. Their thumb loosely wipes at the clear plastic encasing them, a deep sadness overwhelming them, before quietly tucking the box away.
They don’t linger any longer after unearthing the dice, instead they exit the room and dart around for any space with exposed earth. They came here for one reason, and by dist, were they going to quickly do it. It takes a while, with the light from above just barely reaching the depths, and the light at their hip only going so far. Eventually, they do stumble upon a wall with large claw marks, exposing the earth to them. Immediately they take note of this and the scattered and shattered stones on the ground below. All of them have an eerie red tint to them that shines in the dim light. They swallow nervously, throat suddenly dry as they reach out to touch the soft earth. It crumbles beneath their touch, almost dissolving, causing them to jerk their hand back in shock. They shake their head to dissipate the anxious thoughts swelling inside, then carefully unclip the light from their hip to hold it up to the earth. There’s no moisture in the exposed earth, so any glimmer shows proof of stones.
“Oh thank dist, this wasn’t for nothing,” They sigh, interrupting the eerie ambiance of the emptiness around them. They clip the light back at their hip and carefully brush away the dirt surrounding the stones. They all have an aggressive red tint to them, with the ones closer to the surface having large cracks running along their surface. Horror sweeps over Jaycé, causing them to accidentally drop a cracked stone. They watch as it shatters on the ground, small sparks of red bursting out. They stand there, frozen as a realization overtakes them. Their body trembles as they manage to take a step back. They glance at the two tiny stones as they sit in their palm. Carefully, they bring their other hand over to cup the two, then gently shake their hands, causing the two stones to clink together. Small sparks and cracks erupt from the stones, with a spark shooting out towards their exposed arm. When it lands, it stings, causing them to jerk their hand back, dropping the stones again into a shattered mess of sparks.
They shakily exhale, bringing them back into the moment at hand. They take a small mental note and go back to digging around for stones. Deeper into the earth is where they find stones more akin to the standard marble size. They have a lesser red tint to them and don’t spark when jostled about. They sigh in relief and pocket the stones. They work quickly, pulling only one small handful of “stable” stones. They have carefully inlaid the “unstable” stones back into the dirt and debate about bringing a few back. It’s risky, but they pocket a few, keeping them separate from each other and the usable stones. They look at the rest inlaid in the dirt and shiver, before grabbing them all and tossing them out into the depths. These stones should not be found, should not be mentioned, and should stay buried under the cold and unforgiving ruins of Geosenge. They watch the sparks illuminate the further darkness and stand there until an awful, whooshing groan echoes above. They’ve had enough of this place, the adrenaline now running thin, as they start towards the rope. They come across it again and quickly work to secure themselves and pull themself up. It’s a lot harder to ascend than descend, occasionally having to pause and catch their breath. They eventually reach a point where they can reach a flat surface to steady themselves on and make quicker work ascending. By the time they are above the ruins, their arms shake and go numb as they collapse onto the ground below. The world spins as they catch their breath, all fear and adrenaline gone as their body struggles to function.
But still they persist. They pull themselves up slowly, trembling violently, and untie the rope securing them. From there they begin the trek towards the fence blocking off the ruins to the world. It’s a long trek to the fence, the sun now high in the sky by the time they arrive. They worm themselves out by crawling through a hole in the fence and stagger to their car. They climb in and sit at the wheel, barely alive as they slump and try to collect themself.
“Fuck.” Is all they can whine as they gently bonk their head on the wheel. “Fuck.”

=RISOTTO’S POKEMON TEAM= (take 2)
Cant draw for the Pokemon AU so I made a Trainer Card instead…. So here is my pick for Risotto’s new Pokemon team, it has a Dark/steel theme, combining the power of his stand with his goth style in general.
Umbreon is the Pokemon that I feel fits Risotto the most as it goes with his own color pallete. It’s also a very elegant pokemon that analyses its enemy before attacking, going well with Risotto’s personality. Loyal to his master, would follow his master out of Passione. Umbreons are also known to stay close to people that have suffered greatly, so I imagen risotto’s umbreon to stay by his side after Gelato and Sorbet’s death. I also believe eevee was Risotto’s first pokemon.
Larion, Originally an Aron, was the second Pokemon Risotto got, just after joining Passione. It’s form looks similar to Metallica and I do imagen Risotto liking to have lots of Aron’s around. They also seem to be attracted to him thanks to his stand ability, reason why he chose to keep and train one as it helps expand his own stand ability.
Absol was given to him by the company, its pure white coat and bright red eyes goes well with Risotto’s aesthetics. Risotto often keeps him close as it’s premonition abilities keep him alert from an enemy attack, even stands.
Duskull is a sneaky pokemon that goes well with Risotto’s work as an assassin. It also helps Risotto as a spy. It also fits Risotto’s edgy Goth theme.
Houndoom (mega) was another Pokemon given to him by the company. A loyal and powerful Pokemon that assists Risotto on his mercenary missions with it’s keen sense of smell. Also it’s intimidating presence helps Risotto at the time of interrogating a suspect.
Type:Null/Silvally was stolen as a from Passione when Risotto left, planning to use it against Diavolo’s mysterious team. The creature seems to have taken a liking to la squadra as it revealed its true form to them. Type:Null was being trained by Sorbet and Gelato before their death, reason why Risotto chose to take it with him.

[ A Roto-Caster video of Casi and Lissie taking a walk through a park, with them is an entourage of Absol, a pink Sneasel, and a graying Weavile. In the cool winter evening the group is well bundled up, complete with gloves and their coziest jackets gifted to them by Professor Amaryllis.
Gelato, the oldest Absol of the group, walks confidently a few steps ahead of the group, followed by a very small Absol with even darker coloration than his own that has to walk much faster in order to keep pace. The little Absol still has her horn growing in, now curving into it's final shape, and the fur around her eyes has been pulled back with a hair tie to let her see. Their harnesses and leashes both match, a striking blue and white lightning bolt pattern modeled after shiny Blitzle. Soufflé seems to prefer sticking close to Lissie's side, bright yellow leash slack as she matches his relaxed stride.
The Sneasel, a softer pink resembling his mother, is wearing an obnoxiously bright yellow harness that looks more like a child leash than the others. It's clear this is a necessary addition, as he keeps wanting to scamper off from the group following after every rustling grass. The only one without any sort of leash is Sneaks, going between walking beside Casi to walking with Soufflé.
Not much seems to happen in the video itself, the focus instead seems to be showing off the scenery of the evening and the peaceful atmosphere. They chat as they walk, but the wind and distance of the camera drowns out most of it. At several points Oran pans to get a better shot of the sky, the last glimpses of the sun peaking over the treeline. ]

Well all things considered, being stuck temporarily at my husband's house is far from a terrible thing. Very glad I have Merri to look out for things in the meantime until I can safely get back home. Whatever has been going on hasn't seemingly reached the higher elevations of the mountains, so the Sneasels are safe and out of the way.
In other news, introducing Soufflé to Hotdog and Sneaks went way better than I think Lissie or I even expected! After she got used to me being in the house we had her meet Hotdog. She's not only very calm herself but her smell and unassuming appearance has been pretty good at comforting nervous Pokémon. Soufflé didn't interact with her up close very much but acknowledged her presence and managed to remain relaxed.
The surprising bit was when she met Sneaks! She went from barely wanting to acknowledge any other Pokémon in the room and wanting to stay by Gelato to investigating Sneaks. Maybe she feels most comfortable in the presence of other dark types? It's not really clear, but Sneaks was patient with her and they ended up napping together. I would've gotten a picture but I didn't wanna risk disturbing them looking so cute!

I started feeling pretty sick this evening... I think it might have something to do with all the pollen but I'm not so sure. Lissie's been honestly spoiling me so it isn't too miserable. Nausea and other side effects aside I'm in a surprisingly good mood! Hoping for the pollen to finally clear up enough for me to take a taxi home in the morning though. As nice as Lissie and I having a day off together always is I do miss the rest of my team and my Sneasels. :(
Oh! And quick Soufflé update she was in a great mood today. Sneaks seems to be coaxing her out of her shell a bit. Nothing crazy as it's only been two days but it's encouraging to see. She still isn't very affectionate with us but that's expected. Right now it seems Gelato and Sneaks are her go to buddies, with Hotdog being someone she doesn't mind but doesn't initiate interactions with. Hotdog's been content to sit in Lissie's lap and bask in his affections instead.

Good news!! Soufflé was able to go outside on leash and was so happy in the grass, Gelato was watching over her and she’s so much happier already 🥺
-Lissie
That's great news! Maybe tomorrow I could bring a few members of my team over and let her meet them? If you think she'd be ready for that. Could start with Sneaks and Hotdog and see how she takes to them?

Lissie is going to be fostering another young Absol after her previous owners were unable to properly care for her. She's very nervous but seems to have taken to Lissie's current Absol, Gelato, so that's a positive sign. We are calling her Soufflé for the time being.
When she has a little more confidence we are gonna try and raise her here with me since I have more space, but we didn't want to overwhelm her introducing her to a bunch of Sneasels right now.
My suspicion is she was bred for show, given her appearance and the fact that she was transferred to Lissie in a Love Ball. Not that she seems very comfortable staying in it for long periods of time. Poor dear.
[Photo of two Absol laying next to each other on a couch. One with pinkish white fur and a pink body, similar to a typical shiny Absol, but with paler colors. She is wearing a yellow anxiety vest. The other Absol has the standard coat colors of white and dark blue, but with white fur around his muzzle that shows his age. He is also a fair bit larger than the pink Absol. The standard Absol is wearing a red collar, but the full details of it are obscured by his fur.]

Finally settling in at the hotel room. Since our flight cut things so close we kinda threw down our things and left. So glad we opted to bring the extra suitcase just for books.
[Photo taken from Casi's phone. There's a suitcase open on the hotel room bed, containing exclusively books obtained at the book fair. At the top of the stacks were several books about mega evolution, the influence of Mt Coronet and magnetic fields on evolution, and an enigmatic book titled From The Misdreavus's Mouth.
Resting on the bed is also an older Absol that might be recognized as Gelato. Next to him is a man with braided denim blue hair. His outfit looks like a dad on vacation, complete with a Ditto themed button up, a fanny pack, and what can only be described as some ugly sandals. He's holding a hat that he had presumably just been wearing. His expression is tired but relaxed, as if he had just walked into the room and plopped on the bed moments before Casi took the photo.]
