I’ve always thought your mic setup sounded so wonderful, I’ve been trying to improve my own but I’ve been having a miserable time finding guides or anything. Do you know where to start? Thank you!!!

I have no idea what I'm doing but generally a good condenser mic and a mixer gets you pretty far. People tend to over boost the bass in tutorials. I would trust gearomatic more when it comes to this stuff.

Single Spotlight: Trolls and Goblins

Trolls and Goblins is Red Vox’s first ever release, written by vocalist and guitarist Vinny in 2005 while he and drummer Mike were in their previous band, Davy’s Grey, which disbanded in 2009 after releasing one EP.

Vinny would spend the following five years focusing on his youtube channel Vinesauce. The stream started in 2010, with the website launching in May 2011. Initially, the Vinesauce account was shared between Vinny and a few of his friends, but they eventually moved to their own channels. While the Vinesauce team isn’t quite a thing anymore, the members still collaborate (Joel, who has his own metal band, just uploaded a Red Vox cover), often streaming together to raise money for charity. From 2014-2021, the Vinesauce team and community raised over $1 million for the Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation through the annual streaming event Vinesauce is HOPE. The release of Trolls and Goblins was a donation incentive for ViH 2015. Vinny told the story of this song during that year's event, archived and subtitled here by Southbird:

Joe Pecora recorded and produced Trolls and Goblins at Red Room Studio in Staten Island, NY, and it was released on bandcamp on October 22nd, 2015. Vocals, guitars, and keys were provided by Vinny, while Mike played drums, Joe played bass, and John Gearomatic played tuba (the first and only brass feature on a Red Vox song).

The art was done by @kinlaink, who described their process on deviantart. The music video, animated by DensetsuVII, Skrib, 9Hammer, Vanbatier, and Moogie, was released on March 29th, 2016, alongside the band’s first LP, What Could Go Wrong.

Operation H.O.P.E.

The Vinesauce is HOPE team always puts an incredible amount of time and effort into their charity events, and I have limitless appreciation and respect for them because of that. Although I already did my part by buying a shirt, I don’t think that was enough to “give back” to them, so I drew a little thing as tribute to these wonderful human beings. I worked non-stop on this for 5 days straight, and somehow, I just BARELY finished it in time, mere minutes before Vinny’s block ended. I probably could’ve finished this earlier and made it more polished if I didn’t procrastinate, but I’m still happy with the end result, and I hope the HOPE crew enjoys this as well.

My Stardew themed submission for the Vinesauce is HOPE charity stream!

Vinesauce is about to have a charity stream from July 20th to 22nd, where all donations during the stream will go to the Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation. They organized an art contest for the stream, and this is my entry. :D I drew the logo/mascot of all streamers involved in the charity stream aboard the Odyssey, since one of the themes is Super Mario Odyssey. It took me a long time but it was really fun.

4 Years Later

After 4 years, this page is active again! Well... at least that’s the plan. I’ll probably post stuff at a “somewhat regularly” frequency, probably mostly stuff about my fancomics or other creative projects. Assuming Twitter *really does* implode and most people jump ship for good, I’ll probably make this my new home base, even though I uhh.... am not really *that* experienced at knowing how to use tumblr lmao. I dunno, we’ll have to wait and see.

I've got a quick question for you. I'm a little behind on my Vinesauce lore, when did GreatZott and Gearomatic join the collective?

Both have been around for a while as mods for vinny. Not sure when they first showed up.

Oh hey, some art for Vinesauce is HOPE! Sorta, anyways. It’s no entry to the art contest, but hey, better than nothing.

I don’t know if y’all watched the hype stream with Zott, but for a quick rundown: During the Tee K.O. segment of that stream, there were two drawings of an angry Vineshroom and I fucking l o v e d them. So much, in fact, that I decided to do some little art for this new bean. The quote was also based on a phrase used for one of the shirts during that segment, though it wasn’t used for either of the Vineshroom drawings, sadly.

Y’all better give him what he wants, or he’s gonna kick your ass.

Oh, and for people who aren’t aware, Vinesauce is HOPE is a charity event going on from July 19-21 led primarily by streamers from the group Vinesauce. All donations made during this event will go to the Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation, an organization focused on researching Cancer to help pave way for a Cancer-free future, especially for children. I HIGHLY encourage you all to check this out and donate. Not only is this going towards a good cause, but Vinesauce and it’s community mean a whole lot to me. When I first joined the Vinesauce community, I didn’t have a whole lot of friends. But thanks to them, I ended up making a whole group of friends who give out an overwhelming amount of love and support, and have helped me come out of my shell a little bit.
