Now at last I can talk about my batshit mission to convince my BFF to dress up as a luxury car from a video game for Otakon. As far as I know this is the first Regalia cosplay proper, but I suspect from the reactions we got it won’t be the last–it was an undeniable hit. Nothing like making people scream OH MY GOOODD at a license plate hanging off your ass multiple times a day to confirm it was all worth the effort!

The full kit included a necklace of dashboard dials, hubcaps on the knees and wrists, the license plate, steering wheel earrings, and a fascinator with the chocobo-talon logo, plus a healthy dash of insanity on all our parts. But none of it would have been possible without xixdegrees’ ability to radiate class and quiet menace, and also a pervailing sense that someone was gonna get wrecked before it was all over. Thanks for that. But mostly, thanks for being our old girl.
