Your art of Xanthe in traditional clothing really spoke me for some reason. While I do like Xanthe's outfit it doesn't particularly speak to me as Chinese if that makes sense? It's very much an American silhouette even with the dragon print and their top. Your rendition was wonderful and I liked how it read as something a person Xanthe's age would wear casually.

Thank you! I think Xanthe has a fun character design (it's not like young queer Chinese people don't wear western clothes ever) but I do wish that- since we already have a trans Asian Gothamite who wears western clothing with Alysia Yeoh- Xanthe could sport more cultural outfits! Why not both, you know?

and they were room mates!! Trans Asian Gothamite room mates. Xanthe's job as an Envoy and their powers come from Chinese culture so why not have Xanthe embrace traditional clothing too? Especially since traditional clothing is often perceived as gendered or antithetical to queer culture, having a non-binary character sport those clothes would be such a powerful statement.
