the whole tigerclaw/star vs tigerheart/star dichotomy could be interesting if only for the fact that they already treaded the whole “oh nooo im descended from this tyrannical fascist and i look exactly like him to where nobody can even look at me without remembering my ancestor’s crimes, i bear the burden of his legacy and its on me to do better” thing with brambleclaw/star. like even the whole “redeeming the name tigerstar had” thing started with brambleclaw getting the -claw suffix to redeem it from tigerclaw. its just boring like its already happened whats the point

#i do think its a compelling character arc which is why i used to love brambleclaw #we do not speak of bramblestar.#i havent even read any books where hes bramblestar anyway. lol #but anyway i was genuinely so into this character arc for him and how he struggled with it and even regressed at points #and then they. well. they made him bramblestar. -_-#and then gave that same original character arc he had to tigerheart instead. like okay #but again i havent even read the books that had tigerheart become tigerstar 2.0 in them #but ive heard about it and just its whole existence irks me #especiallg bc the endgame to ‘redeeming tigerstars name’ is to become TIGERSTAR. AGAUN #WE ALREADY HAVE A TIGERSTAR #like i get what youre saying redeeming the tiger prefix i get it #whatever.#and i get in wc lore that names will be reused hence the need to redeem the respective prefix and suffix #but like #from a meta standpoint it is just INSANE TO ME that you would create a plot that leads to #two main characters having the SAME EXACT NAME #to where the fandom has to call them tigerclawstar and tigerheartstar . or just tigerstar and tigerstar 2.0 #gawd. tigerstar doesnt even sound like a real word anymore im leaving #brot posts #wc posting
