Moramo da se pohvalimo da smo ušli u prestižni francuski vodič za restorane Gault&Millau. Posetili su nas bez najave, potpuno anonimno, i samo nam javili da smo “ušli”!!!!! Njihova preporuka: Pomalo neobičnog imena, deo istoimenog hotela, restoran Veliki funkcioniše kao zasebna celina i kao svojevevrsni vodič kroz kulinarske predele nekadašnje Austrougarske. S finim novosadskim šmekom, odličnom kuhinjom, vrlo ljubaznim, a nenametljivim osobljem, uz efektan enterijer s puno prirodnih materijala, cigle i drveta, kao i autentičnih artefakata, Veliki zaslužuje iskrenu i toplu preporuku za svaki deo dana. Fruštuk, vojvođanski doručak, otvara dan i ovdašnji jelovnik, a slede ga jela od testa koja zaslužuju i poseban odeljak i pažnju. Rezanci sa sirom, piletinom, povrćem..., grenadir marš, to jest nasuvo s krompirom, šufnudle sa makom ili šećerom, neizbežne gomboce, odlične štrukle... Zaista težak izbor. U lakšem odeljku su obrok salate, vrlo dobra je krepka sa pečenom cveklom i kozijim sirom ili pak koziji sir u kornfleksu sa povrćem, te tikvice punjena piletinom. U onom težem, odlične pikantne slovačke kobasice na podlozi od podvarka, poslužene u društvu krompira i palente sa sirom ili pak ćuretina sa prelivom od višanja, sve to uz lepu selekciju vina iz Vojvodine. Međumurska gibanica je s pravom perjanica slatke ponude, mađarska šomloi galuška spravljena po originalnoj recepturi, krempita efektno servirana, šnenokle, zaher torta i čokoladni koh deo su tradicije koja se ovde s pažnjom neguje.
