“Oh, I didn’t?”

She was amused, both at his presence and his rather blasé demeanor. She half expected Selphie to go out of her way to get every single person within a fifty mile radius to dress up, but even she must have been busy. Seifer didn’t seem like the costume type, but she couldn’t help but think of the possibilities if he had been more festive. Perhaps he would have been some sort of knight or a wizard, maybe.

That would have been interesting to see. A purple cone hat with gold stars and a matching cape? He wouldn’t be caught dead.

She shook off the thought as she stepped past him to enter her office. Taking notice of the gift on her desk, Quistis looked over her shoulder at him, her expression warm and thankful. She nodded in acknowledgement, then made her way over to the scones.

Scooping one up, she propped her hip up against the desk and ripped off a piece.

“Your haircut looks nice,” she said casually, then took a bite. “It suits you.” 

Hm.

Seifer will take the comment with appreciation, "It's a bit shorter than I'd like." He decides loitering outside her door was looking a bit odd, coming from him so he steps inside, leaving the door open behind him. "Usually grows pretty quick so don't get too used to it."

A window is a good place for him to gravitate to, voice falling short when he gets a full view of the Gaulg mountain range. Goddamn, anyone'd find themselves lucky enough to be able to look at a few like this every morning. He's almost envious of Quistis there for a minute. Almost.

But back to his reasons for being there, "So my evaluation is coming up in a few weeks. It's the first one since ah, coming back." He takes another drink, carefully choosing to go for the ‘direct’ approach,

"I have a favor to ask of you--" When Seifer turns to face Quistis, there's a sincerity that is so very rarely there. Maybe even a look of concern. Worry. “I need to know who will be on the panel.”
