Last December I wrote a fic. I didn’t talk about it here, I just quietly posted it in the ship tags on ao3 and grinned with happiness every time I got a new kudos or comment.

And it became quite popular! I consider it one of the best pieces I’ve ever written and I’ve written a metric fucktonne of words over the years.

I didn’t reblog any of the fanart or memes for the ship on Tumblr. I didn’t want to because the ship was causing a meltdown and I shy away from drama. I’ve never seen antis like these before. It was insane.

As soon as I finished The Quarry I started posting happily about Travis x Laura, only to find there were antis for this ship too?? People calling people who ship two grown ass adults p*dophiles? Are you SERIOUS?

I’ve kind of been mad about it for days, and mad at myself for curtailing my enjoyment of something for people who literally cannot be pleased. Who only spread shit when I try to spread happiness.

So here’s my Jilco fic for Arcane, and I don’t care if it makes you “uncomfy” (vom). You curate your fandom space. I’ll curate mine.
