something mustve gotten lost in translation because when did the fandom collectively decide that Matthew was the nice, normal twin?? like hes perfect and Alfred is the embodiment of all bad things?? like we see Alfred depicted as lazy and Matthew hardworking when in the manga, Alfred is the one bustling around while Matthew stays at home. Its known in the manga that Matthew is very laidback. Not to say he's lazy, but hes definitely not diligent in the way that Alfred is, who's been shown multiple times to have piles of workload and also occasionally leads the meetings. Matthew just likes to stay home and eat just like his brother does, and his interests are just as eccentric (both he and alfred like fried sushi and anime, and mattie literally smokes weed while al isnt allowed to drink), the difference is that Al is a superpower and therefore has more responsibilities and work than his brother, who is hardly noticed and living the good life in the shadows. The "invisible Canada" thing hasn't been done in the manga recently and people (in the hetalia verse) seem to know who he is now, and Mattie always looks really happy when he shows up. Where did irritable, hardworking Matthew who constantly scolds his lazy good-for-nothing brother come from?? Where did "Matthew has his life together better than Alfred" come from when its established that Mattie struggles with insecurities about how his brother is more successful than him? like omg

This is why I only like Matthew when he's done in a very specific way. It's so easy for people to fall into two categories: Helpless, Perfect Matthew who's never done anything wrong (even tho canadian history is an absolute menace) and Irritable, Grumpy Matthew who hates his brother. I'm more partial to the second personality because fragile mary sues (or gary stus) annoy the shit out of me, but why make him hate Al,, like if ur gonna make him hate Al at least for a good reason. Not just because he's "lazy" and "eccentric" because Mattie is both of those things too. It makes me hate the character unless he's written in a very specific way

This will be really dark just an fyi

I want Price to be the warden that leads the manhunt for Soap and Ghost once they escape. Gaz is his loyal (???) whatever the word is that would be someone underneath a prison warden.

Price eventually learns about Simon's innocence and agrees to help clear his name. He does not like having to work so closely with Soap (because Simon simply refuses to cooperate if Soap isn't involved)

Soap's background is a bit dark for this. He's not a normal person, like he's actually incredibly sadistic just in his own way, and his sadistic tendencies tend to apply to a really specific group: abusers.

He's kind of known as like an avenger for abuse victims, as he is one himself. His ex was really abusive and is the reason he's in jail. He actually was burning some old documents when said ex came home, drunk and pissed off. Soap pushed him when they got into a fight, and he landed in the bonfire. Soap, fueled by rage and a sudden glee from watching his abusive partner literally burn in front of him, he grabbed the fire poker and stabbed the ex, effectively keeping him pinned in the fire. Soap then sat and watched him burn, and was still sitting there by the time the cops arrived (neighbors called cause of screaming).

He earned the name "Soap" in the prison because there were 2 guards known for being abusive. One was physically abusive and the other a bit less violent, more sexually abusive. Soap took matters into his own hands only a month after he arrived. He managed to get into the showers where the two were talking. Having caught them off guard and vulnerable, he tied their hands behind their backs with their own belts (in the same way officer 2 did and the belt the way officer 1 would lash prisoners). After dislocating their jaws, he pinched their nose and shoved a fresh bar of soap down their throats.

Once again, like his ex, he remained sitting next to his victims until discovered. Word about the incident spread like wildfire and thus the name "Soap" was born because "it's all he needs to kill someone"

Soap definitely loves Simon, and vice versa, but there's definitely turmoil given Soap's track record. I'm unsure if I want to give them a happy ending or not....

Simon was military briefly before leaving due to issues with his family. It's been a few years, Tommy had met Beth and they have Joseph. Simon's father is gonna still be alive in this BECAUSE he actually hired Roba to ruin Simon's life. Roba framed Simon for the brutal torturing and murder of one Gary Sanderson.

And yes, Soap does have to meet Frank Riley and it does not end well :)

How do you get on with the others?

Pretty well, I think? Most of them check in on me now and again. Turns out the experts don’t want to leave a pyrokinetic unmonitored, who knew!

I see Lars and Lucky the most, so I get on with them. Took Lars a while to warm up but he tolerates me now so I think that’s good? Lucky hasn’t stopped making sex dungeon jokes but otherwise they’re a fun kid to be around.

Dr. Ray’s been really nice, he’s helped me learn more about pyrokinesis and still somehow hasn’t given up on me after I’ve been literally the worst student ever?? Shoutout Dr. Ray. That Podcast kid’s been helping out too, although he did swing a hammer at me so I don’t know.

Dr. Venkman was an asshole the first time I met him. Didn’t think I’d end up liking him. But honestly, other than Dr. Ray he’s probably helped me out the most. It’s wild being able to just say ‘Dr. Venkman’ like that, dude. Like yeah, that Dr. Venkman, the talk show guy from when I was a kid. Him. I know him.

Mr. Zeddemore’s also been pretty nice. He’s been letting me come by the lab since I’m technically ‘under supervision’ or something. Mr. Zeddemore’s the easiest to understand if I’m honest, he feels the most normal.

Callie Spengler scares me and I’m pretty sure she thinks I’m a bad influence on Trevor. I’m sorry Mrs(?) Spengler.

I don’t really see Trevor or his sister much but hey, I definitely know what it’s like to not be the ‘smart one’ in the family, so I guess I just hope the Spenglers are nicer about it. He’s a good kid and definitely has a lot more going for him than I did at 18.

I’m definitely inviting Gary round to play video games at some point.

Ms Melnitz isn’t happy that I burned the front desk but she’s happy that I helped stop everyone from dying so I think it balances out. She told me ‘Well done’ one time and I think I almost died on the spot.

also thinking about this post i made. but like, notice how jin never eggs hwoarang on? like he had so many chances to rile hwoarang up, but never took them.

jin could've easily said "you're on!" here or say something insulting, but he didn't - instead, he insists that they don't even have to fight.

or in this example. jin could've easily agreed with hwoarang, saying that he does indeed know somebody stronger, or insult hwoarang's strength. but he doesn't. jin refuses to say there is somebody stronger than hwoarang. jin really respects hwoarang's strength and skill. jin respects hwoarang as a person.

even when hwoarang tries to rile jin up, jin never reciprocates, nor appears to be very bothered by it. we see this happen again in tek8.

hwoarang telling jin to "shut up" even though jin has literally said nothing.

and then calling jin a "weakling" and again - jin never fires back or says anything else at all. i feel this is so important to emphasize that jin... just was never really into the "rivalry" like hwoarang was. that's why i even dare to say that the rivalry is mostly one sided, with hwoarang trying to force it but jin just doesn't feel the same. i think jin doesn't view hwoarang as a rival, but as his friend. because as i've pointed out before - jin is definitely very happy to see hwoarang.

the way he either smiles or smirks when he sees hwoarang. the way he saved hwoarang in tek4 (when he really didn't need to. he wasn't involved with the korean army at all)

so that's what i mean, jin doesn't view hwoarang as his rival - but his buddy! this is also another reason why... i just don't care for fanon depictions that makes jin as passionate about the rivalry and the guy that gets riled up by hwoa's insults or even riles hwoa up... because that's just not jin's approach to it. these guys do not share the same rivalry that most characters do (ash and gary, sonic and shadow, naruto and sasuke) their "rivalry" subverts this trope with jin just being a good goober.

the moment when hwoarang believes jin is upset as they're getting shot at, he worries more about cheering up jin than the literal army lol. it's also important to note with how wide eyed jin was, how he jerks his head when hwoa tries to get his attention - it's hard to say if jin was completely upset about losing the fight - or if the gunfire was also upsetting him. (because it's important to note that literally in the last game before this, jin was killed by gunfire lol - therefore, he could be having uh... a traumatic flashback here)

and plus, even if hwoarang does often try to rile jin up and fails. it's quite apparent that like jin, hwoarang genuinely enjoys the other man's company, too.

anyway, i just find their relationship to be so interesting!! like it's just a veeeery interesting dynamic with how they behave & treat each other. in fact, i find them more interesting than the usual rivalry trope because of all this.

Please tell us your Clato story. Since when do you like Clato? What makes you like them? Thank you :) ....

oh my goodness okay well uh

I have liked Clato for a long long time. Eleven years. I noticed the insinuation in the book, but it was once I saw the actual film and the performance of the characters I could really identify them stronger in the books, and I grew a love from that. Like I said. I have been a fan a long long time. On fanfic . net there are still 5 or 6 clato fics I wrote between the years 2012-2014, that are under a few different usernames, that no i will not claim, but they're still out there as proof of my life long devotion.

I always have taken to the kind of off the cuff ships that don't really have a lot of canon moments in the books, and even fewer on screen (me and gary ross gonna beef). But I always thought the insinuation was there in the moment Clove died. For crazy, violent Clove to scream for him because she is scared and about to die, she had to know he'd come. For Cato, who is described by Katniss as temperamental and brutal and violent, to actually call back to her, run to her, and hold her as she died, I took something from that.

I thought the way it humanized the careers was phenomenal, and especially those two considering they were Katniss's biggest competition. Clove dies a scared girl being held by a heartbroken, sad boy.

Naturally Clato has always been a fanon thing more than canon. I was on facebook RP-ing as Clove, I've written fanfic a LONG time, I've read probably every single Clato fanfic on both fanfic.net and AO3 both in my time. And it was the fan expansions of the characters that I loved.

That being said I think I have just always identified so strongly with the careers. I wanted to be Katniss, I had a little sister, etc. I've always been the Clove, I've always been the Glimmer. It sounds cocky but it's true in it's own way. I was the smartest, I was the best, I worked the hardest, I was a favorite to win anything I ever did. I wouldn't do something unless I had the best chance at winning. I was the oldest child, with the endless pressure to perform at the top level, to be the best, to make my family, my school, my hometown proud. I wouldn't do something unless I was the best at it, even today I'm called crazy by my classmates regularly because of how much I study, what long days I put in. I still reap the rewards of that. I empathized with these kids who had no choice but to be the best. Who worked really really hard with the intention to make other people happy and proud. I would be lying if I didn't mention this in my explanation as to why I love Clato, because it is definitely part of it. I see myself in these kids, in Clove and Glimmer especially, because I think personality wise I am a direct mix of the two, just depending on which side I turn on at any given moment. I'll use what I call my "pretty girl powers" to get what I want, or otherwise i'm pretty bitchy, cold, calculated, etc. I literally added a line in the most recent chapter of my big Clato fic, in which Clove describes the trafficking and abuse of the victors as the worst thing you could to do someone, violating them like that, which is literally my opinion and belief that I gave to her. So thats definitely part of it, the way I empathize with kids who's worth is placed in the pride they bring home. Pride they are wiling to DIE to bring hime.

Part of what I love is the opportunity with them. To take these kids who are often seen as villains (Which if you see them as villains you miss the author's whole point, that the capitol is the villain, the capitol is the enemy), and flush them out and give them depth. Give them relationships, and favorite colors, and secrets they share between each other. Give them hopes for the future, give them dreams beyond winning. You win by 18, you have to imagine what the future after the games is like, too. I think they have the opportunity to be very normal in what they want after the games. They'd want dogs, and houses, and families of their own. Thats why I love them. They are child soldiers who are still children. They have dreams. They have wants. They have needs. They deserve to have full characterizations and be fleshed out, and thats the opportunity I take with them. You could make brutal bloody Cato an adoring brother, because outside the games he has a really wonderful little family. You could make Clove, with her psychopathic tendencies, a child who lost the mother who loved her, and the drive to prove that her mother and her are not weak girls, and the resultant way she would deeply love and fiercely protect whatever family she has (even found family). They train their whole lives together, who would understand them like each other.

Theres the chance to make them complex, explaining who they are in canon, and expanding on who they are outside of it.

I could wax poetic on Clato for hours, and in fact I do. Thank you for this opportunity though, I am always always down to be a Clato enthusiast on main.

the way how kobayashi described gary and ash as partners literally gets me everytime . . . gary would be the sophisticated husband who would gift ash the best gifts ever, he’d be the worrier and considerate one, he’d definitely would want ash to be in the same page as him but he’ll still be adoring of him no matter what.

ash is definitely setting the kitchen on fire getting constant lecturing from gary, putting that aside he’d definitely be gary’s happiness, his go to person and be the best dad ever. gary would always be happy that ash is the father of their kids <3

Anchor imagery and Gastina

I don't know if anyone has noticed that Nina wears a weird amount of Achor patterns on her clothing.

These are just the ones I remember. There might be more.

The interesting thing about these is that she wears anchors in a lot of scenes that have something to do with Gastón. Their first kiss, the scene where he teases her about learning to skate, and the scene with Xavi where Nina literally described her relationship with Gastón as "too intense".

Anchor biblically symbolizes hope and it part of the Faith, Hope, Love trio.

And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.

Anchors are nautical devices that provide stability to ships during harsh storms, protecting them from being tossed around at sea. Throughout history, anchors have served as a much-needed device for sailors. In the Bible, an anchor is used as a symbol of our hope in Jesus which gives us stability and steadfastness in life. In ancient days, the anchor was used in artwork and engravings as a symbol of Christianity. Anchors appear in the Roman catacombs on the tombs of Christians, showing the Christians’ steadfast hope in eternal life.

I don't mean to get too preachy here and we don't even know the religious stance of DCLA, even when can just assume that everyone is catholic. That being said, I do Hc just a little bit that Gastón maybe grew up a little bit more religious than the rest, and I feel it first with his parents getting themselves out of poverty by a bunch of small miracles. This is not the point of this though.

Anchors symbolize hope and stability. Something that Gastón represents for Nina.

She is a divorce child from a broken home. She has been fought over by her parent for who knows how long, but long enough for it really to impact her mental health and self-esteem. She doesn't feel worthy of any love, because she has been fought over like an object with no free will for most of her life.

Gastón was probably one the first people to just love her unconditionally, without having some need to prove that he loves her more than someone else, and she herself was enough. (I don't mean to leave Luna out of this. We'll come back to her later) Gastón loved Nina for who she was, and who she could be for herself.

I don't think Nina has ever known a happy whole family life without her parent fighting. Gastón is from a nuclear family with two parents happily married (Technically my headcanon, but I think canon speaks for it very strongly). I think Nina was definitely taken into his family right away. His parents very possibly were one of the first exposures that Nina had to a healthy long-term marriage.

Anchor represents hope for steadfastness and security. We didn't see this much, but it is pretty fair to say that Gastón probably was quite protective of Nina, Gary would have not gotten even close to her in S3 if he had been around. He often provides her with stability, full-on physically by often having an arm around her shoulder or waist or just by emotionally. With him, she has a hope of a better future and life for herself with him

These are things she lacks in S3 a lot. She doesn't know what she wants to do, and struggles with clarity and writing, especially with the skating site. Her anchor is gone so to say, and she drifts off to sea.

None of this meant to say that she can't be her own independent woman, she absolutely can and is, but that doesn't mean that she can't consider the person she loves as someone who provides her security and stability.

Anyways, these are the reasons why Nina backtracks in character development. She still has Luna as support, but how I view her development is that she needs both, Luna and Gastón. Luna got her on skates in S1, but it was Gastón who helped her almost as much with it. He taught her how to stop and assured her that it was okay to fall and that nothing bad could happen to her. Luna was the one who Nina moving, but Gastón was her anchor.

When you view things like that, you alos notice how similar Gastón and Luna's backgrounds are. They are both from happy homes with two parents with healthy relationships. This can be also kind of applied to Matteo as well, since he is from a broken home in a different way, and why Gastón and Luna were the people for him too.

There's a reason why healing magic is one of the most complicated branches of magic, as Mikel and Hector always say. You don't just wave your hand and recite a spell and poof, your wounds gone. You need to have at least basic knowledge of the human body, know the extent of the injuries, and understand exactly what you're doing there, lest you'd botch it and the person you're supposed to fix ends up with a reversed knee or something. But despite all the warnings, there's also another reason why Bukayo insists on mastering it anyway.

And the reason happens to be a Brazilian, three months older and two centimeters taller than him, who plays on the opposite wing of him and goes by the name of Gabriel Martinelli.

Gabi is a nice kid, a talented footballer, and a great friend. But he was born with a rather sinister superpower – the ability to control and manipulate blood. Only his own, though, not others'. And to utilize it, he has to get the blood out of his system – in other words, he has to cut himself.

Thankfully, Gabi's power allows him to force his blood to clot, so he wouldn't bleed to death while using it, but it doesn't alleviate the pain, and more often than not, leaves him with ugly scars. Usually Mikel or Gary O'Driscoll, their club doctor, helps to heal the wounds, but Bukayo wants to be able to do that too. He wishes to be the one Gabi can rely on to heal him whenever and wherever, the one Gabi can trust to keep himself safe, the one who can protect Gabi when things get ugly.

So Bukayo does his best, asking Dr. Gary for private lessons, squeezing every knowledge out of any spellbooks he could find, even rooting for some old papyrus that Mo secretly keeps in his possession, and he thinks he's starting to make good progress at it. (The fact that he has angel blood in him might help, though).

But then the 2021/22 season ends and summer break rolls along, and with it comes Fabio.

Fabio is small and slender, with slightly droopy dark eyes and goatee, and an unfortunate destiny of sharing the same last name with a certain Arsenal legend. He's a bit shy, but also kind and funny, and after spending some time with him Bukayo decides he likes him. And he also happens to be a centaur.

Now, Bukayo has nothing against centaurs. He's never met one before, but he knows they're amazing creatures, powerful and noble, and Arsenal are lucky to have one in the team. Centaurs also happen to be very talented in divination and healing, and Bukayo's already excited imagining all the healing tricks he'd be able to learn from the new guy.

He doesn't realize that Fabio could just easily take over all the healing job himself.

Now Bukayo looks on as Fabio kneels beside Gabi after one particularly horrifying battle, muttering ancient spells while Gabi's exposed wounds stitch themselves close under his command. And he sees the expression on Gabi's face – gentle, adoring, infatuated.

And it strikes Bukayo like an arrow stabbed right into his heart.

Gabi is in love.

He's in love with Fabio.

And judging from the small, lovesick smile on Fabio's lips, he feels the same.

Well, come to think of it, why shouldn't they? They've been almost literally attached on the hips since the day Fabio came, they speak in more or less the same language, Fabio can give Gabi the one thing he needs the most… Bukayo can see why Gabi's falling hard for the Portuguese.

Taking a deep breath, Bukayo turns around and starts to walk away.

He resolves not to disturb the happy couple, no matter what. He might be in love with Gabi, but he definitely can't help whom Gabi's fancies lie on, and he'll do anything for the Brazilian's happiness. Even if that means killing his own feelings. Even if that means seeing Gabi smiling together with Fabio for the rest of his life.

Bukayo's so deep in his thoughts that he doesn't hear the sound of footsteps behind him, nor does a familiar voice yelling his name. He's only snapped out of his reverie when someone tugs on his arm, followed by Gabi's soft voice, speaking to him.

"Bukayo, can we talk?"

Hi and thank you for your message!

I was seriously excited when the Megalopolis news dropped. Francis Ford Coppola made the sexiest Dracula movie ever and even managed to make Gary Oldman kind of hot! I assumed he would make AD smoldering hot! I even read the script myself and although I wasn’t blown away, I thought it could be fun and had potential. I even like the name Serge. And I definitely love and prefer anti-heroes, villains, and bastards!

It was a bad day for me when those pics of that absolutely hideous hair dropped. Omg I was and am so pissed about it! What a fucking travesty to butcher AD’s hair like that - a man who has some of the best hair out there. It’s criminal. It’s like one of my best friends has said — Paul Giamatti exists and he’s a superb actor, so if you want someone who looks fugly but can act, get someone who’s fugly and can act! Don’t get one of the hottest men in the world and turn him into Paul Giamatti!

I personally only like men with good hair that is at least on the longer side and facial hair, both in actors and in real life. Almost without exception, short hair and clean shaven is a no-fly zone for me, along with blondes, redheads, and small men 🤣 There are exceptions, of course! But the super short Serge cut is an absolute turnoff for me. I just can’t. There is nothing he could do to redeem himself into being attractive to me short of getting a makeover. I might like the movie and the character, that remains to be seen, and I actually assume I might. But he’s very very unattractive to me. Like White Noise, I actually liked the movie quite a lot, but I’m very not into Jack as an object of attraction lol. If anyone else is into them, that’s awesome and more power to you! But it’s not my thing.

I’m so so happy for and excited by 65! I’m absolutely adding Mills to my lineup and I already have a couple things in the works for him and a bigger story planned. I’m also working on a fun AU for one of my friends who made an AD edit that looks like Cruella DeVille and asked for a thing with him 🤣 After 65 though, it looks like I’m in for a long drought of characters I find hot and am excited by.

As of January 1, I dropped Clyde, Henry, and Charlie from my lineup because I’m just so much more into Jacques and Flip, and I know I’m going to be obsessed with Mills. For the foreseeable future, I’ll be keeping my lineup to them and Kylo AUs. I’ll have my plate full with those four for anything I try to write this year. I also just enjoy writing them the most. And some other guys may show up for cameos here and there or as specials for friends!

I’ve really been losing steam with the fic business just because it seems like there are much more meaningful and productive things I could and should be doing with my time. I have a novel I’m finishing and another crank out this year, so those definitely take priority, but I’ve generally enjoyed splitting it up with fics. I’ve literally written over a million words in fiction since 2020, and I go back and forth as to whether or not its been worth it or just a pathetic waste of time and cry for help 🤣 It feels like throwing it out into a void a lot of the time. However, at least it’s been good practice, which is why I’ve kept it up!

If you are into or get into Serge, I’m sure there will be plenty of fics out there for him! I expect him to be one of the more popular guys in fics going forward. If you get into Mills, I’ll definitely be your guy for him!

I've made gifs in the past but it was never like.. properly. it was very inefficient and basically just was me literally screenshotting my screen and using what i learned about photoshop animation in college. I found some tutorials about how to do it and it's definitely way easier, and i got nothing else to do. i need to tweak the subtitle size I think but we learnin'.

When the solar opposites hype dies down i'll try to make some stuff for shows i love with absolutely zero fandom. If i can make even one more person watch Gary and His Demons i'll die happy.

Just saw your "Melissa has PTSD" idea and I am totally on board. If you're comfortable answering, do you think that would be more from her marriage or from the "shady" side to her family that sometimes gets hinted at in the show?

ty for asking!! ok so it very much depends on what we find out about melissa’s family and ex (i imagine the show will tell us more eventually). but in general:

i had a personal headcanon for a while that melissa has a tough relationship with her parents, mainly bc they are never mentioned as stepping up during the struggles with her nana’s health. but generally they never come up, which interests me. and if joe was a toxic ex and she stuck around with him despite that, that’s a telltale sign of an unstable attachment to parents. AND THEN i read a couple fics on ao3 which also headcanon melissa as having mother issues. most recently, “before it’s all too much” by Teyamarra has a good exploration of that dynamic.

obviously melissa’s family gets up to some… funny business, legally speaking. i don’t know what i think that is, exactly, or how much involves her. but i do think growing up in a family with so many secrets, knowing from a young age that people generally can’t be trusted, would give her some learned hypervigilance. depending on the ramifications she’s seen (if she’s had any family members hurt/jailed, if she herself has been arrested or hurt), this could be a root for complex PTSD.

(i do think it’s complex PTSD that melissa would have (short definition: PTSD due to continuous trauma, rather than a few extreme instances of trauma), which manifests very differently and would be interesting to discuss in a separate post.)

my other main thought is melissa’s ex, joe, mainly because the scene on the phone with him was the most striking instance of body language shifting. that relationship informs her beliefs about dating and marriage — it causes her to avoid dating, and particularly men in uniform (avoiding reminders of trauma, even at the cost of your own happiness or growth, is a PTSD symptom). she’s shown reacting anxiously when gary, the vending machine guy, shows interest in her and makes a minor faux pas with the dave & buster’s suggestion. she loses all confidence and literally runs from the scenario (turns out you have both fight AND flight, melissa). we see moments of her trying to predict and prepare for red flags — hypervigilance, trying to protect herself…

which suggests she feels vulnerable/scared in romantic relationships. which suggests her experience with joe was particularly influential and damaging. we know she also has wavering self-esteem and is very sensitive to hurtful words (read: any time someone calls her a bad teacher, or when barbara says “people like you”). so my personal headcanon is that joe was verbally aggressive. it’s also generally HCed in the fandom that joe cheated on her with nina, which is believable to me. i don’t know if there’s reason to think he was physically aggressive (she’s still very touchy and doesn’t seem to have a visible fear of men), so i think it was just verbal/emotional abuse/toxicity.

anyway, that’s way more than you asked for! but that’s my basic thinking on it. i’m open-minded about it this early in the show, and wanna know more about her background. especially her family, which seems complicated (yet she has a zillion photos of them around her house, so there’s love there!)

And I LOVE this idea! I remember Doki Doki Literature Club so well, specifically watching let's plays back in the day... literally so many memories just unlocked... Anywho, I've done my best to answer this for you. As per usual, I'm mainly doing the LIs I feel like I "know"

🕹 If the S2 LIs were in love with Player 🕹

Bobby – I can see Bobby starting to ask directly if you find his jokes funny, not MC but YOU. As the games progresses and after a few replays, he'll start to friendzone MC because he's actually in love with Player, and it's such a mess because MC is an extension of Player but Bobby doesn't get that and it slowly becomes more and more unhinged

Carl – Carl being Carl, he'd totally try to hack the game from the inside to get a message to Player, right? He'd slowly corrupt the game from the inside until he controls it and has to fight fusebox trying to "fix" with Players help, and that's the beginning of a great friendship that turns into romance

Elisa – Absolutely would just start to appear in any scene you're in. You were on a date with [insert LI here]? Not anymore. Elisa is curious about Player, and wants their undivided attention. Maybe she'll start asking their opinion on her, or try to ask Player to hack the game and replace Marisol with her? That way, she can romance Player from the start, which she confesses is what she really wants

Gary – It'd take a few replays, but he'd gradually become more and more self-aware, until he starts complaining about some really bad déjà vu and question the other players if they haven't had these conversations before. When Player says 'yes' he'll start to ask them more and more, eventually having a small break down when he realises the person he's fallen in love with is, well, not who he thought

Henrik – Absolutely baffled to realise he's in a game. To the point where he'll "knock" on your screen, and just think the whole thing is super interesting. He'll ask player if they think he can get away with doing weird stuff to try and "break" the game, and together they'll totally cause the weirdest glitches

Ibrahim – Rahim would totally become self-aware by thinking LITG is just part of multiple game universes (not untrue). His confession of love for Player would be so muddled by the game file trying to force him to kiss Jo etc too, and he'd always apologise for what the game makes him do, begging Player to help him escape into a different game

Lucas – I feel like he'd be super suspicious of player the second he becomes self-aware, and just act that out by asking MC weirder and weirder questions until addressing it directly. Then, he'll realise player is key in him staying in the Villa, and on a replay he'll ask for their help in staying. Once he starts working with player however, I think he'll start to fall in love but only admit to it after a few replays where MC aka player gets with someone else

Marisol – Psychoanalyses incoming! She'll definitely start having philosophical conversations with herself at first, and then start to engage MC aka Player in those once she realises they're playing the game she's part of. These conversations become longer and more heartfelt, with Marisol contemplating her route etc, until she admits to having developed feelings for Player

Noah – I feel like he'd start complimenting the Player's in-game choices. Like imagine if Player is romancing him and he just goes "oh, trying my route are you? I'm sorry it won't be easy, but I love that you're willing to do that for me." He'll lament to Player that he wishes he didn't have to go back to Hope after CA, and maybe try to rewrite some of the game code himself, with the help of Player, to mend. it

Plants VS. Zombies Humanized A humanization for both Peashooter and Sunflower. Notes: -All of these humanized plants live in a universe that has a few differences than ours, example is that there was another Cold War albeit nothing worldwide and a bit literal and, oh, there's also magic. -I humanize these plants in my way, My Style. -Almost all of these humanized plants live in the same town the original game takes place, Neighborville, and all present events take place in 2009.  What that means is that, Penny and Sunni currently are not 31 yet.

Penny P. Shoodor (Transwoman) . Birthdate: May 05, 1991  American, with a bit of egyptian origin.

Personality: Mostly normal, sometimes socially anxious. Bio: Just an ordinary vegetarian suburban girl who loves music and lives in the suburban side of Neighborville.  Her father was a heroic soldier who prevented the freezing of Neighborville in 1991.  Unfortunately, her father, Gary, died heroically after preventing the freezing machine from making Neighborville a frozen wasteland, right before Penny's birth too.  After her birth, Penny, originally named Peter, had a normal chiildhood.  That is until when she transitioned from a boy to a girl at the age of 12.  At first, she hated the change, but with the help from her family and the local Hawaiian man named Keahi, she accepted her new gender.  Right after Penny's gender change is when she met Sunni.  Up to this moment, Penny did not have many friends, especially after her transition, so Sunni was a needed friend to her.  However, this was temporary as Sunni traveled to Mexico so that her auntie can take care of her after her mother passed away.  Penny felt sad, but Sunni did came back when she was 17.  After that, Penny had a usually normal life, with some unorthodox events happening.

Sunni Kim de la Cruz . Birthdate: May 06, 1991

South-Korean x Mexican, with a bit of Japanese origin.

Personality: Euphoric/Happy, loves to smile a lot, hates to frown Bio: A daughter made from the love of a South Korean woman and a Hispanic man, she was a happy child.  She got this from her mother, who was a bit more happier than Sunni.  Sunni's twin sisters and father, however, are the opposite.  Her twin sisters are always grumpy and would fight each other, while her father is a bit apathetic towards anything.  Sunni still had a happy childhood, that is until her mother was diagnosed with Tuberculosis when Sunni was 12.  Sunni's mother owned a flower shop, so Sunni used the money for her mother's treatment.  Unfortunately, her mother passed away anyways.  To make things worse, her father flew out, never to be seen again.  This understandably left a huge hole in Sunni's broken heart, and she could not smile like she used to.  Eventually, she decided to never forget her mother by smiling almost all the time.  Now, Sunni runs her mother's flower shop, and she may have a bit of a relationship with Penny, though neither of them tried to tell their feelings to each other.

*Penny can't do more than two push ups.

*Both Penny's family and Sunni's family are catholic

*Penny has an older brother named Ryder, older twins named Pat and Split, and younger triplets named Peana, Theor, Teri.

Media I would put LITG islanders into in an AU where they weren't LITG characters:

Hope: I would still cast her in a reality TV dating show, but I would make it the Bachelorette. Her experience would've been radically different if instead of Love Island's premise (which challenges her more insecure, territorial and angry parts) she's instead uplifted. She has the right decisiveness, confidence, accolades, and attractiveness to be a Bachelorette, but I think putting her in a power position is a way for her to be much more endearing to the audience. Watching her take no shit from the men, enjoy herself, and ultimately work through her commitment issues in a more positive environment 😚👌

Henrik: a kids TV show on like PBS where he just excitedly shares geology and nature facts for 20 minutes. Think the Kratt Brothers or Zoboomafoo.

Rahim: a lifetime drama/romance movie or Bridgerton or some similar bodice ripper. He just has the romantic temperament, uptightness, and interiority where the audience can project onto him that makes him perfect to be the main love interest in a steamy drama/romace.

Gary: I can only see him as a sports commentator lmfao. Or maybe on one of those car shows where they talk about different cars or rig them to go super fast and then Gary would be the dude they cut to in order for his reaction to just be "😯whoaaaa". Or a commentator on WipeOut lmfao.

Hannah: a memoir or self help book that literally no one reads and if you do try to read it you realize the author is just like... having basic realizations about life, the world, and identity and thinking that they're mind-shattering. Like "when I'm overwhelmed I like to imagine that everyone else is overwhelmed too! Here's a story about how I was standing in a line and realized everyone else was a person with interiority too-"

Bobby: either a rom-com movie or a preschool children's TV show ala yo gabba gabba. I think Bobby fits well into the standard 'boy pines for girl, girl realizes she likes him, boy messes up, boy does big gesture to reconcile, then happy ending' rom-com format. But I also think he would thrive being loud, nonsensical, and childish in a controlled way that TV shows for babies are. Like one step below Steve from Blueclues but a step about being a Boobah.

Marisol: she's an under qualified interviewee in a documentary For Sure. Maybe she was taken out of context/tricked, but it's definitely a documentary like "diagnosing a famous person with a personality disorder" or "this true crime that we're going to go full conspiracy theory on even though the simplest answer is likely correct" and she's there giving credence to that. Her title is simply 'Marisol: Psychology Expert' or 'Researcher'.

Rocco: a travel show initially pitched and produced by some smaller, less popular TV channel like TruTV or Scify and got nearly no ratings so was cancelled after the first season. But then Rocco pivots and does the same thing but for a low budget on his YouTube channel, and people like it because the travel part is generic but his constant factual errors, mispronouncing words, being a general nuisance, and misinterpreting people around him is funny to watch in compilations.

Noah: a post apocalyptic teen drama novel where he's the hot leader of the group that the self insert main character who Isn't Like Other Girls initially has conflict with him because she's a renegade and doesn't follow the rules and he's the voice of reason. They have a screaming match where she accuses him of never committing to action and he yells that she nearly got his friends killed. Then they kiss and 14 year old me thinks about it for 3 days until I find an identical book.
