In some episode on MCD, it's said the relic only goes to a descendent/someone with similar traits (i.e personality and values). Zane, an avid researcher of the divine, would know that. Either on Garte's side (ironic) or Zianna's side, they are descendants and Zane learned this sometime during priesthood. He clearly has nothing like Irene going on, but he knows he can be a divine!!!!

So, Garroth AND Zane are at least descendants. Don't know about Vylad, but they are at least distant children.

So know we know that the relics choose someone based on their values/status of relation, so Garroth Ro'Maeve is Esmund.

Headcanonning now:

Essentially, Irene and Esmund *totally* had a kid or two, and eventually Garroth Ro'Maeve and Zane Ro'Maeve were born.

I like to think Esmund/Garroth became Aphmau's/Irene's lover because he deserves to love someone. That's cannon stuff, bestie!!!

Here's why:

The relic *only* goes to a descendent. Zane, having researched the hell out of the relics, would know this.

Not only did Zane know this, he was going to *become* this.

Fuckin,,,Garroth would 100% main Heavy. Possibly Solidier sometimes but mostly Heavy He’d def be one of those Hoovies that is super friendly and mostly taunts/throws sandvitches at people. He has the Katzotsky Kick and the Conga taunts and gets v upset if you don’t join him As for Zane, my first thought was Spy bc of the mask, but tbh I could totally see him as one of those salty Medics that will stop healing you if you’re an asshole. Then switch teams and stab you with an Ubersaw. Be nice to your healers guys.

If Agent R is Malik, and a Ro'Maeve, that would explain the striking resemblance between Garroth and Levin.

It would be interesting,however Matilda (Maliks’ wife in MCD) describes him as a “pure descendant” of Lady Irene and as we know Irene never had any children therefore Malik probably isn’t a ro’meave. However the information above is from like early MCD Season 1 which isn’t a very valid source for CANON info,so until Blujay confirms that info or creates new info for Malik(which is very unlikely) I’ll have to say that Malik is NOT a Ro’meave

I wanna go more into depth about Zane being a vampire?? Like- okay, he was turned when he was a kid, that part is true. As we all know, he was really sick as a kid, and tbh, his parents were already picking out coffins cause they knew he'd die. But one day, they hire a woman called Carina. She's... Odd, weird, honestly, and hated the sunlight, but she promises that she can help their son.

What they don't know, is that she's one of the only 15 of like.... Well, there's alot of vampires, and only 15 of them are disgraced- but she's one of the 15 vampires that have been disgraced. She's off because she's dying. Vampires- while not a hive mind - are all connected. It's how they kinda find each other. To be disconnected is to be cut off from that warmth, that wholeness.

Anyways, she bites him and turns him, bringing him into the cold world of being disgraced. It's maddening- and one of the reasons Zane goes off the deep end. She basically saved his life, and after that, he got healthier. His only requirement? He had to consume blood, and even then, all his parents did was grab a servant or two that nobody would notice missing/dead.

Being a vampire- a disgraced one at that- at such a young age leads to him going completly insane.

Also, going into the whole 'Oh, well, why does he have so much power if he's just the high priest?' He's also a whole ass prince. He's the prince of Okhasis- anyone do or say anything he doesn't like he can have them killed, expecially since Garte gave power to him and basically fucked off. He doesn't give a damn what Zane does as long as he stays in contact with them, since he's the last of their kids still alive(atleast, that's what Garte thinks.

It's specifically why Zane doesn't tell Garte when he finds Garroth. He wants to be the Savior and bring him back- not have his parents get guards to bring him back. When he wages war against Phoenix drop- all he tells his father is that he's raiding a village with holy valuables, and he needs more men, and his father completely obliges.

Zane Ro'maeve in my story is the definition of a spoiled brat that has everything and anything he wants. He's smart, cunning- and he has everything he could ever want. When he asks Aphmau to 'Marry him' it isn't a request for peace. It's a statement. He's not asking her, he's telling her she WILL marry him.

Mostly because he likes the smell of her blood, it's.. intoxicating to him. It smells like something he'd want to keep drinking over, and over, and over again, which is why he's so attracted to her. He wants to use her as a blood bag- much like he's using Katelyn.

When Aphmau says no, he's... Actually suprised. He's never HAD anyone say no to him before- not even his mother, so this.. this is a challenge. Aphmau is just a challenge for him. A challenge that he wony fail.
