A rose by any other name…

Just a sneak peak of an AU of mine. The neighbors are representations of flowers in Home’s garden!

Wally is a prize winning rose bush, pampered and beloved yet unable to actually physically connect with anyone due to his thorns. A pat on his petaly head from Home is the most he ever gets of genuine affection.

The other neighbors are in similar situations. Sally, for example, is a sunflower in a pot on Home’s windowsill- She turns towards the sunlight only for Home to turn her petals back inwards, entertaining and looking pretty even though it makes her wilt.

Eddie is a tulip, Frank is a Clarke's geranium, Howdy is an echeveria that’s had a few too many ‘leaves’ trimmed, Julie is a begonia, Barnaby is a big dogwood tree in the yard, and Poppy- Poppy is a bird that visits the bird feeder and cautiously greets the garden every day.

I cannot wait to show everyone else’s designs too, it’s so fun to make little flower people!

Seasons greasons my dude!! What's it like being a grass gym leader? I've tried asking the grass guy in the Corone League but it wasn't very helpful, he just talked about himself and not really about the experience. -_-

Also, if you're called the fighting farmer does that mean you're actually a farmer or is it more an aesthetic thing? one of the members of our elite four has the title of the golden gladiatrix but she's not actually a gladiatrix, so is that your deal or nah? and if you actually are a farmer, do you have a favorite thing to grow? I wish I could grow watermelons in my family's garden, but I don't wanna crowd my mom's flowers. :[

I'd say it's pretty nice! You get to work with a lot of Grass types, as you could probably guess. And you do tend to see Challengers who have similar Pokemon after a while- plenty of Flying, Bug, and Fire types- but it's not too bad! I'd imagine most Gym Leaders experience something similar, regardless of type. Speaking of- you're a Gym Leader as well, in the...Corone League, is it? What's it like there, if you don't mind me asking?

And yes, I am a farmer! Was one even before I became a Gym Leader, haha. I take care of my family's farm, though I admit it's a rather small operation now. I'd say my favorite thing to grow is vegetables! I managed to grow some peppers this year that I'm very proud of, in fact. And watermelons! They're quite nice, though they can crowd a gardenbed rather easily, as you mentioned... 😔
