I don't think anyone's said that no terf has ever harmed a transmasc person, it's just that terf ideology is very specifically aimed at trans women so as an ideology it's not incompatible with being transmasc the way it is with being transfem. I'd say around 1/10 tumblr terfs are transmasc while probably around the same proportion are vocally aggressive against transmascs. all terfs are causing harm to all trans people that's undeniable but it's just like conservative white women voting against women's interests.

i literally regularly see people say terfs do no harm to trans mascs lol, this is a common talking point in trans online and acting like nobody says it is straight up disingenuous. terf ideology IS incompatible with being trans masc, and many of them DO aim with intent at trans mascs ('irreversible damage,' the jkr letter and 'rapid onset gender dysphoria,' etc) because they want us to stop existing! they don't want trans men to take hrt and get surgery and be butch lesbians on t or whatever the fuck, they want all non-normative bodies to die or be converted

for those not following along at home, i reacted to a meme earlier (under a readmore on my own god damn blog untagged) about how it's okay to want breasts if you're a trans girl (true!) and doesn't make you an icky pervert, because according to the meme men don't fantasize about having breasts. the problem is the basic framework of the meme: that fantasizing about having breasts WOULD be bad IF someone isn't a woman. this ultimately gives more ammunition to shitty bio essentialist arguments that we should be fighting back against, because it links sex characteristics to gender and falls into the same line of thinking as the radical feminist belief that a man who fantasizes about having ""female"" sex characteristics for one reason or another is doing something dangerous oppressive or evil. which is ridiculous! it's immaterial! trans and cis women wanting breasts, including in a sexual context, is good and normal! cis and trans men wanting breasts, including in a sexual context, is good and normal!

it's part of a general line of thinking where trans people want to throw supposed "perverts" under the bus in order to distinguish themselves. they're the good ones and you should take them seriously, at the expense of these other people who can go scratch, and that's not solidarity. when we don't present a united front, and argue that it's not a bad thing in the first place to be what regressives consider deviant- that it's not harmful, that it's joyful and beautiful- we lose SERIOUS ground against the ACTUAL transphobes

Honestly I think the way he'd be a sexyman would be different depending on the era? Like if he had been a sexyman around DHMIS' time (ie the "notebook and the clock" time), everyone would have definitely portrayed him humanised, like they would have made him a bland hot white guy.

BUT if he became a sexyman now and partly due to the Undertale/Deltarune fanbase, it'd be a different matter because Undertale fans very rarely, in my experience, stray away from the canonical designs, and if they make human versions, they usually look more like a wrinkly rug if you catch my drift. Like the Undertale fandom seems to work like this: from any given game, be it Undertale, Deltarune chapter 1 or chapter 2, they pick the loser or A loser if there are more of them, preferably the biggest loser around. Then they run with it. Most of them just...work with what they have. Like a lot of them don't polish these men and they're very much outside the usual Tumblr sexyman field (well you could argue that Rouxls specifically exhibits some usual traits such as being thin and tall). And like that's why I think that that fanbase specifically would get really weird about Scratch and why I think he wouldn't get bland-ified and polished to death by them. They don't care about the objective hotness of their chosen guys, when they make human designs, they usually do no favours, and they without a fault pick a loser. I think they'd be thirsty for him in the exact same way they're being weird about Spamton right now.

oh yeah, i'm thinking about like the original context of a tumblr sexyman and what that implies (oncelerfication/ blandification) because even though people are devastatingly horny for the weird goopy men from undertale it's like, in terms of characterfucker taxonomy more akin to monsterfuckery than the classic archetype of a sexyman? but dr scratch deserves to have weirdos making posts about shining his head and bowling him etc etc which we never would have gotten in the classic sexyman era
