okay assuming overhaul is still 👀 @ erasure in ur oboro lives au, how do u think a situation where overhaul kidnaps aizawa and mic and oboro have to rescue him would go?

honestly this scenario would be wonderful bc no matter what when they do find aizawa he's just there with eri like hello thanks for the rescue we have a child now. but while trying soooooo hard to seem very stoic and unaffected by it. but like in a way that doesn't upset eri. truly playing 4d chess to hide the feelings literally everyone is 100% aware he has.

anyway i think it does depend on whether or not they're aware of eri bc if they don't know that a kid is involved, i think in this au mic would have a lot easier time with the "go nuclear until everyone is safe" option bc his has his team to do disaster management for him while he's on the warpath (shirakumo will make sure no one gets seriously hurt and can alert mic to any kind of situations that he needs to be aware of so he doesn't have to handle things with kid gloves)

BUT i think if they know there's a kid there both shirakumo and mic would be very focused on making sure she's safe and relatively untraumatized, so i think it'd be a more surgical procedure - likely mic and several other heroes (like in canon) taking on the brunt of the force while shirakumo slips in and gets aizawa and eri

Thinking about Vigilantes again and it made me think…why was Aizawa in UA if he didn’t believe in he could be a hero? He’s in the top hero school in the country.

He gets bullied constantly for his power, fighting style, and doesn’t believe in himself enough to pick up a kitten he wants to help. He leaves his umbrella with it, showing he cares, but doesn’t think he can fully save it.

I understand the easiest answer is definitely plot convenience, but there are some interesting ideas here.

It could be a family situation like Todoroki’s. We’ve seen in a few drawings of young Aizawa, he’s wearing the expensive GanRiki Neko sweaters. The same ones he gets Eri later on. His parents may not necessarily be pro heroes, but with a son with a power like Erasure, they might be inclined to push him into the career.

Maybe he was scouted by the Hero commission. He’s older than Hawks, and we know their practices aren’t exactly ethical. Maybe the Commission talked to his family, unable to take him in themselves, pushed them to put him in UA. Erasure is an extremely rare type of quirk, and two different villains (AFO and Overhaul) wanted it, why wouldn’t the commission keep an eye on him?

It doesn’t really make sense for a child in this universe to not want to be a hero, or think themselves unable to be. Midoriya’s whole class wanted to go the hero track in the first episode.

We’ll probably never know anything about Aizawa’s family, but it seems like he wasn’t ever going to go to UA of his own accord. It’s only after Shirakumo and Hizashi befriend him and believe in him that he really becomes the hero we know and love.

More Erasercloud Headcanons in my main fic while i try to hype myself up to finish this chapter

Oboro proudly wears the horrendous ganriki neko sweaters Shouta gifted him when they first started dating, and he takes major offense to anyone insulting or making fun of them.

Shouta is actually very affectionate and loves physical touch and he can get quite a bit needy (even more so in the bedroom). Oboro absolutely loves seeing that side of him, and he still can't believe that all of Shouta in his most gentle and vulnerable state is all his and his alone.

Shouta almost never calls Oboro by anything but his given name. The closest he ever comes to calling Oboro a pet name is whenever he jokingly refers to him as his favorite idiot, which Oboro wears as a badge of honor.

Shouta comes across as tight-lipped, but he turns into quite the chatterbox with Oboro (especially when he's had a few drinks), and Oboro always gives Shouta the space to ramble endlessly about all of his special interests and favorite topics completely judgment-free and without any interruption.

What's your favorite headcanon about Aizawa?

I would say the Aizawa coming from a wealthy family theory!

I remember making headcannons about this ages ago back in middle school, and I recently found out that it's a pretty common theory to have!

He was raised in Tokyo and was drawn wearing name-brand GANRIKI☆NEKO clothes as a kid, it oddly makes sense? In a funny way that is ⁠(⁠￣⁠︶⁠￣⁠)

I just like it because I found I'm not the only one to have made those connections, I've never really thought about it too hard but I suppose it's probably one of his reasons for being such a minimalist? Growing up you can get a lot of everything so naturally one would get bored of too much?
