He’s the older brother of Soohyuk & they share a 5 year age gap

He pretty much raised/took care of Soohyuk since their parents didn’t give a care about them

Was born and raised in Houston, Texas before was sent to live with his grandmother in Busan, South Korea with Soohyuk

Didn’t pick up an interest with film and directing until after he moved to live with his grandmother

He started out as an animator at first then moved on becoming a movie director

His first films were terrible, but as he continued on learning and practicing his films became better

His films soon became popular and because of that his popularity began to rise & led him having a difficult time managing things as he tried taking care of Soohyuk at the same time his career was beginning to rise

Moved to Gangnam later on because of his career and saw better opportunities in Gangnam. Currently lives in an attic of an apartment complex that is home to him.

Personality wise he hates taking responsibility of things and would rather much avoid them, but he’s not all too difficult to talk with. On camera he’s serious and is careful what he says and when he’s off camera he just becomes a mess. To be honest just consider him a meme. It’s probably the most accurate thing

Loves to baby his younger brother whenever given the chance because why not

Has like an entire photo album of Soohyuk and his manager’s dog because why not. Is currently working on another one because again why not

Fun fact he sneaks into the government facility that his younger brother works at just to either visit or hide from his manager. It’s surprising that he hasn’t been kicked out yet

so here’s a lil rundown: 

so he was born literally with a silver spoon!!! he’s the oldest of three siblings and always had immense pressure put on him since birth. that’s not to say his life is DIFFICULT because boi is literally rolling in money BUT he’s always had to be perfect and polished and pristine (we are pristin ANNYEONG)

his siblings have it a little ~easier~ because daehwi was the only one to really grow up in the spotlight - his father became the seoul mayor just as he turned sixteen, so he’s grown up quite fast rly 

so he’s a great smoothtalker and can probably charm the pants off you - except he isn’t into that so he’ll probably just take your vote

right so he’s a politician!!! he’s working for the seoul mayor’s office and helped in the campaigning efforts of the current mayor. he’s currently in charge of gangnam-gu, naturally. 

it’s only when he turned 25 that he realised he doesn’t have a personality. well, at least not a personality HE created. he’s been stuck with a PR personality for so long that he’s not really sure who he is

call it a quarter life crisis

the luxury club is his idea of rebelling but it’s also his way to get more power. he knows he can’t win over people with empty promises and cheshire grins, so he’s created a fucking luxurious club which welcomes almost everyone 

the place is called chasms 

he basically hand picked everyone to be hired in that place!!! he’s a “good” owner in the sense that he seems to be v involved and caring but he just knows how to keep eveyrone’s mouth shuts

so that’s why his label is j a n u s -> he’s actually v manipulative when he wants to be and switches so easily between personalities that those who don’t know him well often get a whiplash

he is EXTREMELY two-sided but he often doesn’t show both sides to the same person

he’s mostly good natured (in front of people) but a little insincere because most of the time he seems so put together? but he’s not above threats if he has to get his way to make sure nothing’s afoot in gangnam. it’s his job after all. 

trigger warning: violence // he’s been known to get his way, even if it’s through spilling blood of threatening someone with good old life or death threats. he’s never carried the latter option out but you know, if he needs to, he would. 

trigger warning: mild drug addiction // he has a case of adderall addiction which is... I would say quite severe? it doesn’t harm him (yet) but he just needs it to keep him going. he justifies it to himself by saying that o well at least it’s not hard drugs

which explains why he tends to be REALLY fidgety when he hasn’t had his dose

extremely efficient and generally hates anyone who slacks off? coming from quite an elitist background, he wrongfully believes that hard work should be able to solve ANYTHING.

enjoys dancing if coaxed onto the dancefloor!!!! he hardly ever a) lets his guard down and b) gets drunk, so good luck with that

his asexuality is both a huge and minor part of him - he’s comfortable with kissing (sometimes) and he doesn’t quite mind giving hickeys really (but not receiving them) but nothing below the belt thank you very much. It’s just been a part of him which he’s been quite open about

that does NOT mean he is not romantic. even he’s panromantic - he genuinely isn’t concerned with the gender of the person he’s romantically invested in. in his line of work, romance is a little hard to come by.

all right first off his family/friends -> he’s rich as hell, so he’d probably go around quite a bit in the elite circles? he also has two younger siblings!!! who I don’t have specified story lines for except for what was stated above

partner/best friend-> he’s a bit of a workaholic so his (platonic) partner/best friend is someone who works with him or someone who works for him 

staff -> in any form! he probably has the regular secretary, driver etc or even someone who manages his meetings for him? 

and then the other staff -> anyone who works at chasms! escort, management, bartender, security, dancers, hell even the one or two peddlers!!!! anything is possible!!!!!

then there’s the third form of staff -> the ones who do the dirty work for him, the ones who are all muscle and brawn and perpetually by his side 24/7. bodyguards/possible hitmen??? options are ENDLESS weeooo

he’s in office on tuesdays, thursdays and fridays! come talk to him, if you have an issue. he’s usually the poster boy of good decorum in daylight hours! 

a mandatory ex who we can talk through the story line with! daehwi would have met them when he was 18-20? but things didn’t work out (maybe) because of his huge personality shifts

hello here! this is ya girl rhu popping back in the krp scene after devoting my entire life to j.ack m.orrison, and indulging in bringing here one of my fave ocs ( with a few tweaks since he’s originally born to be part of an original scifi lore of mine ) by the way, my ims and askbox are always open for plotting and stuff, while in here you’ll find the full dossier concerning my boy!

now under the cut, a few info about him:

the reason behind his name is actually pretty easy, and it’s all to blame on his late mom’s laziness in not wanting to change all the stuff she prepared for the incoming birth. his parents divorced for unknown causes few years after his birth so he has zero relevant memories about his dad or the paternal family, if not that they’re known high class peeps

he’s born with a genetic eye disease called monochromacy, more specifically rod monochromacy, which prevents him from seeing colors ( yes, all he sees is grayscale ) and make his eyes actually pretty sensitive to light, but he knows how to take care of them and how to distinguish the basic shades based on brightness

always been that one odd ball of the bunch, and unfortunately his disease didn’t help especially during the crude years of highschool in which his sense of loneliness and alienation only grew stronger, and oftentimes he would refuge himself in drawing and avoiding people the most

he just recently lost his mother, after years post-highschool spent doing odd jobs and finally giving in the request of his maternal uncle to actually use his artistic talent in his tattoo shop in seoul. he didn’t really take that well and it’s still an open wound for him to elaborate.

he moved officially in seoul last year and besides going to the shop he doesn’t really know anyone

his fashion sense is odd and of course, exclusively grayscale. loves hats a lot. especially wide hats giving him a fake halo,occasional high soled boots and long, soft cardigans giving him a small sweater paw.

for a period his uncle dyed his hair blue… they lasted very little. he remained with the deco something like three to four months before returning to black

has the worst attitude ever like literally, the way he spits vitriol is absurd but it’s a defense mechanism he needs to jot down because he’s gonna get even more hurt if he keeps that attitude

knows everything about anyone, but no one knows shit about him. unless you’re one of the shop entourage

specializes in hardcore type of tattoos, aka pretty big ones with lots of detail and a very gory, pastelcore aesthetic onto it. doesn’t really like dealing with text-only tattoos and 99% you can hear him complain about how people can be stupid for wanting to get their gums inked

Her name is Park Kyungri but she wants to be called Kiki !!

she is a witch lol a very modern one like does tarot card reading along with hand reading, she uses sigils, crystals, chants, charms, spells, curses, herbs,witches signs, ouija boards and you name it !! she also does aura reading and crystal ball reading

like she is very modern, she like uses magic on her laundry machine and has a pen finding spell bc she always loses her pens

like she adapts magic into the world today

so like for some she can be quite weird but she is pretty chill and just normal human pretty much 

she is born into a family of witches, well her grandma was a witch and she was basically raised up by her. 

And after her grandma died she has been on her own in their house and made it look like her own as her grandma was quite old fashioned 

she has a black cat and he is called Magicis or Magic for short as Magicis is Magic in Latin

She does hand and card reading for a living but she also gives out charms, chants, sigils, spells, curses, crystals. She has also recently started having the option to pay her to get to know the color of their auras and what that means 

she is learning crystal ball reading lol 

she is just a geek when it comes to magic

she is still sort of fresh as I’m still figuring her out but pls pls love my baby

Hey, guys! I’m G (20, GMT, She/Her), and I’m very excited to be here (despite timezones murdering me every chance they get). Was essentially somewhat an orphan like, straight away, due to missing father and mother whom died during child birth

So he, obviously, went into adoption. But he’ll deny it without a beat

So it took quite a while for him to actually get adopted since he was a stupidly reserved child, he just didn’t want a bar of anyone, so he kept to himself

When he did get adopted, though, around beginning to mid-teens, it didn’t go too well?

He was adopted by a couple who were unable to have children through the usual process, so it was either adoption, or insemination. They chose the former, obviously, but they were immediately expecting too much from Gyujin

They essentially wanted him to become the heir of their business, seeing as though they were pretty high up in the food chain

They were pushing him into academics. And while he excelled at sciences, that wasn’t what they were after

So, cue harsh comments an verbal abuse, and this is the product of that mess

He’s somewhat striking out because of it? Became reckless just to get back at his parents indirectly, by causing trouble and doing things against what they would assume was the norm. 

You know, the type that’re homophobic and what not? Gyujin had a field day with that one

They kept him around because he was still partaking in academic fields, despite his side-projects of art and what not

But, generally, they’d rather spit every mean comment they can muster at him until he gets where they think he should be.

So the majority of his confidence and egoism is down to him wearing a mask, just to keep that stuff inside for the time being

Even his impulsive behaviour and sheer lack of filter sometimes helps him, surprisingly

As a result of his “rebellion”, though, it really fucked him up

He was hanging out with the wrong people, doing bad things and broadcasting it all

So he’s developed what I’d call an addiction to it? He’d grown reliant to the rebellion despite it being unnecessary now

As for the Security Guard thing, it’s simply one of those fairly easy gigs since he’s a muscle pig, just so he can cut himself off from using his family’s money. Helps him give himself the illusion of independence

she’s also making something of an income as the creator of an acct on youtube and soundcloud for her music, something she’s had for abt two years now

she’s not even close to making it big yet, and she doesn’t mind if she never works for a moderately to highly popular label — though she should if she wants to get by

among the aesthetic, lo-fi music crowd ( one of those yt accts with a livestream for certain playlists that go on for hours, rip ) where for the most part, it’s personal faves mixed with her own works, and has a substantial following as of now. but has an interest in experimenting, with mashups ( as a lover of them ?? i couldn’t help myself sgflkdsjg ) for example, with a small fear of how that change would be received

this is so short now that i’ve shortened it immensely iK, it’s a little infuriating if you ask me ljkgdfjls

in terms of her personality and other things:

she’s a very loyal person, v e r y. while like i said ( and will elaborate on in her bio ), her relationship with her brother is Not Great, she hasn’t completely given up on him. maybe for the time being, but her being someone who’s open to the idea of people changing for the better somewhere down the line, leaves a bit of room for her to possibly change her mind if he does enough to allow her to consider it

so she can be a bit of a doormat in some cases, it all depends on how she sees the person that determines if that’s the case, but she generally won’t let you off if you’re being dumb/an ass to someone or if she gets advantageous vibes from you for example ( given she can.. be a little naive and is a p gentle soul ) so.. idk fgklsj good luck to the 99% ig ??

she does have a slight dependency on others despite her thinking all signs point to the opposite, and even though her and her mom never rly had a good relationship she still reels from the neglect/abandonment some days so handle her with Care if she deems you a close pal

spontaneous tbh, moving to gangnam was a little last minute on her part, for one

she’s a bit reclusive when focused on something, if she tells you she’s working on a track, it’s essentially a head’s up that you might not see her for a couple of days depending on how soon she gets it done — lowkey that bitch™ who makes up an illness to her boss, so she wouldn’t even show up for work if it’s more than just her fucking around

bc admittedly, a lot of what she posts is fucking around and liking it, her more thought-out and effort packed projects are hidden away on her laptop

a bit insecure with her work and just her general disposition ?? those first few points above mess with her a lot and leave her disheartened so.. my poor child

v strong overall, takes people’s shit and if it gets to her, she gets over it p fast. doesn’t dwell on much and will be courteous to you even if she’s declared you too toxic to stick around 24/7

She is a very good swimmer but when it comes to competitions the nerves get to her and she doesn’t do as well as she should bc she is a very very good swimmer but it isn’t showing in competitions 

She tries to always look at the positive things but she of course as her days 

She isn’t much in sharing her struggles and often handles them along but she doesn’t have the most strongest mental health so she often breaks down when she is completely exhausted from carrying all the burden on her own ( someone help her pls ) 

She is a very caring person tho and always puts her friends first but she is very sensitive so she easily gets upset and very often puts the blame on herself

has gotten hurt physically and emotionally way too many times because of that

but he’s never changed

when he started getting a little older, he got more so into the whole music thing, and wanted to make a career out of it

so he started posting shit on instagram and what not, just little clips of him playing

he had more of a following because of his looks, the boy was obsessed with posting selfies and whatever else he could find an excuse to post, just for the attention

it helped with his isolation and loneliness because he could just turn to his followers for validation lmao

then when he was 18 he ended up leaving the states, ditched his parents so fast

he didn’t have a bad relationship with them but it wasn’t exactly the best, either?

they often bullied him, too, and it was frequent so he picked up on it and stopped trying for them

he ended up moving to gangnam with a couple of friends to study music and animation, and try for a job

honestly he’s just a lost puppy who kinda still struggles with korean sometimes and goes off into different languages when he’s stressed

past :

sunwoo grew up in a less than ideal setting. his mother was an escort, his father no where to be seen and was constantly exposed to gang activity. for the most part his mom tried to shield him from these things and try to give him a somewhat normal childhood but at the end of the day, there really wasn’t a lot she could do. 

everything was normal, or at least as close to normal as it got for sunwoo, up until he turned nine and other kids found out what his mom did for a living. after that his school life drastically changed. his friends stopped hanging out with him and other kids began bullying him. it became the start of the hardest years of his life. 

things started getting a little tense at home, his mother was being secretive and was working a lot more than usual until one night when he was twelve, two men he’d never seen before broke into their small apartment and killed his mom while he hid. they ended up finding him and rather than killing him, they decided to take him and bring him back to the gang. 

for a whole year he lived with a woman who was apart of the gang, posing as a normal family. he went to school, came home, did his homework, and went to bed. it was like clockwork until she finally started making him work. she started lending him out to men around the gang to play with as she put it. he wasn’t stupid, he knew what was really happening and hated it.

he stayed there for another two years working under her until they found someone new to take his place and moved him to working at one of the many clubs the gang owned. he ended up liking the club a lot more. they had security and made whoever paid for him stop when he said stop. 

as time wen’t by, he slowly became somewhat of the leader of the other dancers. he’d been the oldest and just naturally took to taking care of them. he would be the one fighting security when they fucked up. he would be the one consoling a crying kid after a rough night. it took a tole on him but he didn’t mind baring that burden if it meant that he could somewhat protect these kids in the same fucked up situation he was in.

eventually this lead to him consoling in the new security guard, mijun. it wasn’t really by choice though. one night long after the club closed and everyone went home, sunwoo was still there, in hysterics because the pressure was just getting to him. mijun just happened to come back for his wallet and found sunwoo like that. he stayed with him, comforting him until sunwoo eventually passed out from exhaustion. after that the two grew really close and eventually started dating 

this lasted for about a year and a half until it all came to an end. mijun was constantly asking sunwoo to run away with him, never being serious but eventually he was and when it came down to it, sunwoo couldn’t. he was stuck here and there was nothing he could do. if they ran away the gang out find them and kill them. he couldn’t do that to mijun. one night, he was asked for a final time to run away and again he said no. in the morning mijun was gone. 

after that sunwoo was different. no one could really put their finger on it but they knew something was wrong. he would still be the shoulder to cry on for everyone but he just seemed off. 

around this time too he was moved to a different club to work. he was getting too old to work there and it was getting glaringly obvious. yet again he was ripped from his family and moved to a new club. this one was much more classy looking. the escorts were all adults this time around and much colder than the previous place. 

current: 

now sunwoo has been at the new club for almost a year. he doesn’t really like it but he isn’t going to complain. he gets paid much more working there so hes able to afford more luxuries that he couldn’t before which is nice.

he also came to the conclusion that he is tired of feeling hallow so he is trying to fill in the gaps even if that means pretending to be okay. he is trying really hard to make friends and connections with people outside of the escorting/gang world despite how dangerous that could potentially be. 

there are also rumours going around that the gang leader has a son around sunwoo’s age but no one knows who it could be. (spoiler its sunwoo but he has no idea)

like there was a lot of verbally abuse that came with it, he was constantly getting put down by his folks and you’d think they’d know that’s not how you parent since, you know, they’re psychologists. positive reinforcement goes a long way kids.

but yeah eventually it just got too much and he started breaking under the pressure

his grades were slowly slipping and he got into this phase of self-discovery. 

in this trip of discovery, he decided he’d experiment a little

like literally got him by the scuff of his shirt and threw him out the house because they’re insanely homophobic but how was this kid supposed to know

they didn’t forget to literally ruin him, by the way. he had to drop out of school because his parents publicly humiliated him, essentially, and he got severely bullied. 

thus he ran away from that area of seoul

but he didn’t have any qualifications at all since dropping out

but he was having this sort of identity crisis and started to really go within himself

at age 12, he begins winning minor competitions, enough for him to make a (very small) name for himself

he falls in love again with charcoal drawing - realises he loves drawing portraits

his father didn’t rly encourage it because he feels there’s ~no future~ and pushes joon towards academia instead

joon returns to korea, pursuing his degree in art history in yonsei university

he doesn’t rly fit in, you know? he’s got an ~american accent~ now and his korean isn’t the best

but he’s great at art history, despite not enjoying studying so much - gets an offer for a phd from NYU

it’s in NYU when he falls in love type of love - with his fellow phd classmate. he really loved them and was going to propose to them and all the shebang before

they stole his thesis and submitted it under their name - and his supervisor and him had no proof whatsoever

dropped from his scholarship + rusticated from the programme and his (v extended) family didn’t take the news well

he came back to korea because US was just too difficult and reminded him of everything he fucked up

born in seoul, south korea on january 31, 1997, ilsung’s family soon moved to london where his father was a successful trading exec. though his mother and father lived almost year-round in london from that point on, ilsung, his two older brothers, and younger sister rarely lived under the same roof at the same time. 

ilsung grew up splitting his time between his parents’ home in london and different prep schools across the uk and new england. he spent the longest periods of time in upstate new york and just outside of london before he returned to korea to attend seoul national university.

when it came time for him to go to university, something was telling ilsung to go back to korea rather than the many other prestigious schools in the united states and europe that he got accepted to. ilsung began attending snu as a western classics major three years ago, though he only recently moved to gangnam about five months ago. 

though he could easily afford it himself if he just asked his parents, ilsung prefers to do practically everything on his own, and so he recently moved to gangnam only because he got a job housesitting for a professor at his uni that is doing research abroad. ilsung’s watching their place for the time being, but still doesn’t feel comfortable calling someone else’s apartment his home ( but that doesn’t really stop him from taking anyone back there with him most nights smh )

growing up, ilsung was always known for being quiet and withdrawn, he kept to himself and tried to draw as little attention to himself as possible as he picked up various languages and studied.  

desensitized to most of the world around him, his image as the nerd who kept his head down made it easy for him to later pick up many different habits without anyone even noticing; often leaving school under some pretense or another to get to the nearest city and do whatever ( or whoever ) he could get his hands on. 

though a large part of his heavier drug use is behind him, ilsung still counts too much alcohol, weed, cigarettes ( and occasionally still coke and acid – i wasn’t lying when i said he did almost anything smh ) alongside sex as his vices.

he loves the latin, french, and greek languages more than he loves being around most people, and really needs to quit living in a world that stopped existing thousands of years ago more than he lives in this one.

jisung spent most of his childhood helping out at his parent’s cafe. when he was younger he used to hate being forced into helping out because he wanted to stay home and play his brothers nintendo 64 but as he grew older he began to appreciate it more. he started to enjoy the soft and calming atmosphere of the small cafe and the strong smell of coffee in the air. he enjoyed brewing fresh cups of coffee for the locals and seeing their faces light up when they took the first sip 

the cafe slowly became his whole life when he was a teenager. when he was a teen he would spend almost all his free time there either working or hanging out with friends there. the cafe was everything to him and he couldn’t wait to take it over one day.

thats why he decided to attend a business school in daegu. at first he wanted to attend one here in seoul but his parents told him to go and spend time away from the cafe for once. he reluctantly agreed and found himself living in daegu for almost three years

just as he was about to start his last year, he received a call saying that his parents were in the hospital after a robbery gone wrong. apparently his mother went to go grab the money from the register and the kid panicked thinking she was calling the police and shot both of them. he dropped out that night and got on the next train back to seoul. the doctors did all they could to save his parents but the medics arrived too late and they died two hours after he got to the hospital. 

the cafe was left to him and his brother. his brother wanted nothing to do with the cafe and tried to convince jisung to sell it but he refused. the cafe meant so much to him and he couldn’t bare the thought of not being able to return to it anymore. this lead to him taking over the cafe as the sole owner

personality: despite the death of his parents, he is still a very cheerful person. he loves helping his friends and doting on them whenever he can. he just wants everyone to be happy and enjoy a good cup of coffee. he can be quite clumsy so if you’re bored and looking for something entertaining, come to the cafe right before close and watch jisung attempt to do the dishes without dropping at least 3 cups. 

wanted connections: 

part timer: someone who works part time at the cafe with jisung. even though he tried his best to run the cafe on his own, its a lot of work for one person so he needed someone to help out. the hours are decent and you get free coffee out of it so why not?

best friend: pretty self explanatory. this could be someone who’s known jisung for years or someone he met after he returned to seoul. 

can i get your name for the cup?: at first it was an honest mistake. jisung just heard the name wrong but now its developed into a challenge to see how many different ways he can fuck up their name until they snap.
