i don't know what it's called but the very niche visual trope where a character who is thematically linked with dragons/a dragon is shot in a way that the framing makes it appear as though they have wings of their own. like a dragon behind them unfurling their wings so they appear to be unfolding out of the character's back. that shit is like crack to me

To me the biggest single plot hole in the entire Buffyverse:

Is that in Season III the First Evil's the monster of the week that had the power to teleport Angel out of Hell for the express purpose of driving him to dust himself by sunrise.

And yet in Season 7 it's supposedly awakened ONLY because of the Slayer resurrection spell Willow did. So what the Hell happened in that Season 3 episode, then? How was the First Evil running around then? Why did it never occur to it if Willow was supposedly the great big threat it feared or if Buffy was to just shunt one of them into another dimension and leave the Scoobies scrambling to find them while leisurely raising an army of fully powered Turok-Han to curbstomp them flat?

my question is, does show (!) cersei know that magic is now a thing in westeros? does she know jon snow‘s been dead for an episode? does she know melisandre poops out shadow baby assassins on the regular? does she know beric dondarrion is on his twelfth or so life? or did they just bust out that wight at her in king‘s landing and expected her beautiful brain to process that information as normally and logically as it does with every other thing that happens to her? one minute tyrion tells her he‘s coming to king‘s landing and the next, her former bodyguard whom she believes to be dead lets a zombie loose in her fucking backyard that she has to share with several dead people and a motherfucking dragon.

jon: so you‘re seeing the importance of this now, i trust?

cersei, processing several eldritch horrors beyond het comprehension she‘s just had to see in the span of five minutes: uhm sure.

I have seen the same claim made every week that Episode # is “the best episode yet” and is being ranked as the best in the season thus far…

They say this every week. They’ve now, once again, claimed that episode 7 is the best episode of the season thus far.

So what do we think? Is this the same shit tactic where they hype up the worst most boring ‘same shit different week’ episode by trying to gaslight everyone into thinking it’s good? Or do you think they are telling the truth this time?

My guess is it’s just going to be more chatting, talking, preying, frowning and blandness, where they cut off exciting scenes to show you 5 extra minutes of some random conversation that adds nothing to the plot whatsoever.

I guess we’ll see…

#7 episodes of people talking is not considered “’character building’ anymore #like I guess Luke’s character really was meaningless?#Aegon and Helaena seemed to have moved on pretty quickly from losing their son #they have yet to explore Helaena’s trauma #we’ve seen all of 1 battle that in my opinion was rushed and anticlimactic #we have almost finished 2 seasons and we’ve seen 1 battle #house of the dragon #game of thrones #house targaryen
