An elephant. It’s called the “Elephant in the Room”. Well, it’s a big plush elephant and it’s on my bed. But it’s soft and fluffy and I sometimes use it as a pillow :)

5 things I’ve always wanted to do in life: 

Write a book (preferably an lgbt+ book) and get it published

Take standard dance classes again

Get trained to be a telephone counsellor at a youth help hotline

Play a part in a musical, an opera or a play

Study (and eventually live) in England

5 things people may not know about me:

When I was a child, my mum used to read Grimm fairy tales to me and we had this really big fairy tale collection book, it had everything from Snow White to The Frog King. I absolutely adored fairy tales. When I was about 2 years old, my favourite happened to be The Frog King and I always asked my mum to read that one and only that one - she must have gotten really tired of it at some point. The thing is, while she read the story to me again and again, I learned it by heart, word by word until at some point, I could “read” the story to my dolls and plush animals. I even knew when to turn the pages and I had no bloody idea what most of the words I was reciting even meant (the book wasn’t exactly written in an easy kid-suitable language). 

Same goes for the lyrics of my favourite childhood songs. I loved to watch Disney movies and my favourite back then was The Jungle Book. I loved singing the songs and I had no idea what the words I was singing actually meant but I never asked. I only ever cared for the melody - as long as I could still sing the song, everything was fine. That actually hasn’t changed until today. 

I was very extreme with fandom things before I even knew about “fandoms”. When I was about 12, we read The Witches by Roald Dahl at school and I went crazy about it. I actually “founded” a witch club with my friends. I was the Grand High Witch, my best friend was my secretary and each of my other friends who joined the club invented their own type of witch. We had a cook, a German witch with a funny accent, a half-witch and a few others. We actually wanted to arrange a big club meeting but at that point, my friends grew tired of it and we kind of stopped. It really devastated me.

I am really bad at maths and I can’t even do the easiest calculations in my head. It’s a fact, my brain just can’t handle numbers and I also have difficulties remembering them (birthdays, telephone numbers, etc). My brain just ties itself into knots when confronted with a maths problem.

I had proper classical voice training since I was 13 and I recently joined the youth ensemble of the local theatre. I will be starring in my first opera next week and even though we only appear on stage for about 5 minutes and only sing one song, I am very excited about it :) However, this is not the first time I will be singing on stage. Back in school, I was part of the school theatre group, where I have not only been acting but have also sung songs that were written exclusively for me.
