This one has the most notes for hand drawn art & the other is my most notes for art/crafts in general. I'm pretty proud these are top dogs & pleasantly surprised with the Deleted scenes one 😄

Who/What is your favourite subject matter? Our boys but also when I'm acrylic painting I'm loving painting clouds & sunset/sunrise skies hues

I've been experimenting with acrylic paints after getting inspired by a sparkling water painting I saw on tumblr & here are some cute cows I drew for Leah

Where do you like to create? There's a table in the lounge room that's very spacious, has good light & a cart with a stash of my art supplies. But I wanna migrate back to my room bc I got a new big desk there to keep my mess away lol

4. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?

Sometimes. I go through phases of trying to be better about it, but my brain is also weird and I start to feel conceited if I keep saying thank you😅 I always massively appreciate them though, it makes me so happy!

5. What’s the fic you’ve written with the angstiest ending?

I don't think any, except for maybe a couple of galladrabbles like this one

6. What’s the fic you’ve written with the happiest ending?

They have to end to have a happy ending lol, but basically anything that's done.

7. Do you write crossovers?

I'm never sure what can be classed as a crossover, but I've done 911 (In Case of Emergency), Jurassic Park (Tooth and Claw), sort of X-Men, sort of Star Wars (with ideas for a full fic that may or may not come to be), and probably some I'm forgetting.

8. Have you ever received hate on a fic?

Just once I think, and it was just someone who really doesn't like Vee's nickname being spelled with more than one letter.🤣

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

Yes, and I'm way too proud of it lol. It's mostly way too wordy and flowery language abounds because that's also the only way I can read it😂 I've got a collection of ficlets here from when I first started to write NSFW by request, and other assorted works.

10. Have you ever had a fic stolen?

Not that I'm aware of.

11. Have you ever had a fic translated?

No, but that would be really cool!

12. Have you ever co-written a fic before?

Calli (@ianandmickeygallavich1) and I have been playing around with one (very slowly on my part) that you can find under the tag #arrow&calli write

13. What’s your all-time favorite ship?

I phase in and out of quite a few but right now Gallavich

14. What’s a WIP that you want to finish but don’t think you ever will?

I refuse to say I won't finish anything I've started posting lol, but there are a couple things in an old doc that will probably never see the light of day.

15. What are your writing strengths?

I usually say description, but I've been struggling with it lately. Funnily enough, I think dialogue has been working best for me even though I've traditionally been uncomfortable with it.

16. What are your writing weaknesses?

Overcomplicating things: the plot, the sentence structure, everything. If I can overdo something I will.

17. What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic?

I've done it once and I think it worked out ok, but I avoid it in general because I don't want to screw it up.

18. What was the first fandom you wrote for?

Shameless! Pretty much the only, too.

19. What’s a fandom/ship you haven’t written for yet but want to?

Good Omens and Our Flag Means Death, both of which I've previously planned things for but never followed through on. I'd be open to a pretty wide range of others but haven't had specific inspiration.

I'm gonna not limit myself on this, because I haven't felt like I like any of it lately but I was looking through my own stuff for these questions and honestly had forgotten so many I'm kinda proud of? So...

My latest fic, because I enjoyed writing for the first time in a while: Countdown to Christmas

Since @gallacrafts is taking a well deserved rest this month I thought it was the perfect opportunity to digitally share my art work from this past summers Gallacrafts Zine! This was such a wonderful process to be part of!

I imagined this piece taking place soon after 7x10 , which of course comes with lots of complicated feeling for Mickey.

since @smokey-mickey is the fearless co-leader of the @gallacrafts zine, what better way to interpret this week’s prompt than writing about a zine?! ty, as always, to the @galladrabbles community!🌱​✨​

he’d always drawn— scribbled on cardboard, doodled in the margins of books and walked down locker-lined halls with blue ink staining his hands.

he’d never thought much of it— not until ian saw him scratching on the back of a receipt with a dull pencil and his eyes went soft around the edges.

and now, there was this— it wasn’t much, some fucking zine project ian’s friend was doing to benefit a youth center. flimsy, photocopied pages held together by staples, a scratchy drawing on the cover.

Theme 14: We Make A Good Team

What’s the key to any good team? Communication! For this month’s theme I once again went the route of upcycle crafting. Using a couple of frames I painted years and years ago, and combining my wine cork collection, I made some cork boards. Which are a great way for any team/family to keep track of what’s going on or for special reminders. (Not to mention also a fabulous way to display my gallavich love.)

what can i expect in the zine? all of the gallacrafts magic PLUS so many interactive mini-crafting projects! some of the supplies are even included! it's really cool, trust us 😏

zines will be printed in color and approximately 8.5in x 5.5in (21.5cm x 14cm).

zines will be shipped out from the US starting early july—given the state of the world, it will likely take 3+ weeks to reach non-US destinations. because we are mailing it ourselves, we will *ideally* have tracking numbers for each package.

what does the zine cost? $18 USD which includes shipping (additionally, please check out the mutual aid information below!)

how can i purchase a zine? 

submit an order form

provide donation amount via gallacrafts paypal (gallacraftszine@gmail.com), PLEASE BE SURE TO SELECT "SENDING TO A FRIEND" IF GIVEN THE OPTION! also, if you're US-based, feel free to reach out to @whatwouldmickeydo for a venmo option!

provide confirmation of donation to rhys or leah in whatever way is comfiest bc we won’t know who’s who from paypal vs. blog names, etc.

concerned about the shipping process? that’s fair given that we are packaging it ourselves. however, we decided that this would be the best course of action given that it reduces cost and it allows us to track packages. we understand the importance of anonymity and we are happy to answer any questions that you may have about the ordering process. we suggest submitting an order under a pseudonym if that would make you feel more comfortable! but also, trust that we respect your privacy and that we have no intention of abusing your trust or being creepers—we just want to craft and celebrate each other! 

MUTUAL AID INFORMATION we are doing everything we can to ensure everyone who wants a copy of the zine will receive one! we have a question on the form about whether or not you're in a position to contribute to a mutual aid pool, but what exactly do we mean by "mutual aid" and how will it be used? this zine is 100% not-for-profit so we are only asking for funds to cover printing and shipping expenses. however, we acknowledge that 1. we are a global fandom and 2. not everyone has access to financial resources, especially in a fucking pandemic 

as such, if you *do* have access to financial resources and would like to contribute additional funds (even $1 or whatever your currency is), we will use that to offset the cost of shipping for our friends who may be further away than others, as well as get copies of zines into the hands of everyone who desires one. if we happen to have additional funds after everyone has received their zines, we will collectively select an arts organization to donate it!

Joining the @gallacrafts​ crew in posting my zine entry!  Fair warning to any potential knitters: I have small hands and made these to fit me, so I recommend increasing needle size or adding stitches to the fingers for a good fit.  I also recommend being better at stranded colorwork than me😂

I’ve never tried to write a pattern off my freehanding before, so I hope it makes sense!  If not I’m happy to help anyone troubleshoot or point you to resources for construction and special stitches🥰

Two of Us on the Run, Lucius - headed to Mexico, obviously (so many good choices for their S7 reunion, but this is my favorite) (Beyond Gallavich, I love Lucius, pair this with Right Down the Line for some beauty)

Pretty Great, Fickle Friends - as I wrote on my running playlist post, I find this perfect for the AU premise of Ian and Mickey meeting at a club, hazy, hot and f*cked up, and then that unforgettable chemistry carrying them through until they find each other for real.

Everywhere, Fleetwood Mac - the K E M A L cover is on the Spotify list, but I can’t resist the upbeat tempo of the original, and the ethereal voices of Christine McVie and the chorus. You can also hear why its bass line has been sampled a lot. This one has a lot more effervescent, whirling joy to it. 

Burning, Gorgon City - “For every pain there is pleasure.” With a club beat as tribute to the best Gallavich kiss, the club kiss 😘🔥😋🥰

Love Song, Yungblud - This song is new to me from one of the submitted playlists on Tumblr to help with these zine lists (Thank you!). The lyrics fit beautifully. “You patch up the blood and the cuts, but our blood got mixed up, so I guess we belong to each other”  

Supernova, Liz Phair - Since everything 90s is cool again. When I listen to this, I hear Mickey’s tribute to Ian, “...and you fuck like a volcano and you’re everything to me.” 

Open, Rhye - And in response, this is Ian’s devotion to Mickey, loving on his thighs, soft belly over firm muscles, and of course, those tats.

Chasing Cars, Snow Patrol - The lyrics + the acoustic version, with bonus shoutout to Ian’s future tomatoes. Let’s all just lay here with them, shall we?
