         they  say  that  the  𝐛𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐞𝐬𝐭  𝐬𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐤  burns  best  when  𝑐𝑖𝑟𝑐𝑢𝑚𝑠𝑡𝑎𝑛𝑐𝑒𝑠  are  at  their  𝒘𝒐𝒓𝒔𝒕  .   hatred  burns  through  generations  ,   continues  despite  opportunity  ,   a  distaste  left  in  the  mouth  of  who  once  held  it  even  after  it  leaves  .   nothing  ever  ENDS  with  one  single  action  ,   not  when  the  brotherhood  wanted  something  MORE  for  themselves  ,   and  the  future  generations  of  gallagher  .   no  .   remember  spies  ,   there��s  always  a  𝐏𝐋𝐀𝐍 𝐁  .   and  like  with  most  fires  ,   it  starts  with  a  single  -

         the old mill, abandoned ever since the gruesome murders that took place there in february, is the first to go up in flames. and in a way, it’s a relief. no more blood splatters or threat of ghostly entities haunting its walls. the fire quickly spreads to the stables, their usual four-legged tenants running through the campus to escape the flames, leaving them empty of both horses and students. it doesn’t take long for the entirety of the stables to catch fire, flames that scorch the earth in their wake still spreading out even farther. before the fire can touch the school, the fire engines roar through the main road through the gallagher grounds and, to put it in terms the students can understand, the threat is eliminated.

          it’s the early hours of the morning, just before 5am. there are no witnesses, and therefore no suspects. but there was one clue left at the scene of the arson, untouched by the fire yet surrounded by burning embers: gillian’s sword.

           and  when  everyone’s  wondering  how  this  happened   (  where  did  it  go ?  was  it  always  here ?  were  any  of  the  rumors  correct ?  )   ,   the  diversion  the  fire  was  supposed  to  be  does  its  job  .   alumni  are  scattered  around  ,   laura  sutton  upon  the  scene  of  the  crime  ,   students  are  CHOOSING  to  stay  in   (  finals  won’t  stop  for  anything  ,   even  a  terrorist  group  )   ,   and  there’s  a  smoke  cloud  of  FEAR  looming  over  the  heads  of  everyone  in  the  buildings  .  

          that  is  ,   with  the  EXCEPTION  of  elise  park   (  @eliseprks  )  in  her  shower  ,   scrubbing  aggressively  at  the  layer  of  ash  on  her  skin  .   water  runs  a  deadly  gray  ,   rushing  down  her  legs  as  she  attempts  to  catch  her  breath  .   there’s  no  way  ,   she  thinks  in  the  heavy  steam  ,   she  covered  her  tracks  perfectly  .   or  ,   so  she  thinks  .   

           gillian’s  sword  rises  from  the  ashes  by  the  gloved  hands  of  laura  sutton  ,   the  lives  of  gallagher  on  her  shoulders  ,   and  crystalline  eyes  do  their  best  to  hide  the  panic  coursing  through  her  veins  .   elise  never  meant  for  anyone  to  get  hurt  ,   or  get  hurt  as  badly  as  it  was  ;   not  with  her  own  family  walking  through  the  halls  .   the  brotherhood  takes  no  excuses  ,   said  schools  like  THIS  are  the  reason  why  everyone  she  care(d)s  about  are  dead  .   and  hooded  figures  run  through  the  hallways  .   intentions  are  unclear  in  that  moment  ,   but  the  brotherhood  is  indeed  IN  .  

              an  alarm  BLARES  through  the  school  ;  not  a  code  black  ,   not  a  code  red  ,   one  than  even  laura  sutton  hasn’t  heard  before  in  person  .   no  ,   this  one  announces  that  there’s  someone  messing  with  the  infrastructure  of  the  school  .   it’s  a  good  thing  that  the  school  is  up  to  date  with  SECURITY  ,   cameras  zooming  in  and  around  until  they  find  a  cloaked  figure  messing  with  what  looks  like  a  bomb  in  the  corner  .   alumni  and  staff  act  ,   not  sparing  a  moment  for  THOUGHT  as  they  know  what  for  search  for :   brotherhood  members  ,   in  literal  black  hoods  ,   in  the  nooks  and  grannies  of  the  hallways  .   only  one  adult  isn’t  searching :   elise  park  .   laura  sutton  will  take  note  of  it  .  

                any  student  passed  is  told  to  go  to  their  rooms  and  told  to  text  who  they  could  -  or  ,   alternatively  ,   find  the  BEST  hiding  place  .   shaky  hands  text  their  friends  ,   phone-less  witness  protection  students  cross  their  minds  ,   but  they  can’t  save  them  if  they’re  in  trouble  ,   too  .   the  adults  work  as  a  team  ,   FLAWLESSLY  like  they  were  trained  ;   petty  drama  has  no  room  here  ,   they  have  students  to  protect  and  a  school  to  keep  standing  .   it’s  a  power  struggle  laced  with  cries  .   

                   this  is  the  future  of  every  student  in  the  school  ,   dealt  a  hand  for  a  war  they  never  started  or  knew  existed  .  

                 every  brotherhood  member  on  property  is  caught  ,   in  chains  within  the  next  two  hours  .   the  school  stands  strong  ,   the  only  signs  of  terror  are  soot  lining  the  brick  from  the  few  areas  the  flame  of  elise  park  was  able  to  reach  ;   and  ...  the  lack  of  mill  ,   stables  ,   and  original  statue  of  gillian  blackened  .   the  only  thing  that  wasn’t  touched  was  the  tip  of  the  sword  she  holds  up  .   the  students  of  gallagher  knew  this  would  be  a  dangerous  world  ,   but  they’re  no  longer  BLISSFULLY UNAWARE  of  the  pain  and  betrayal  of  this  world  ,   even  if  they  weren’t  personally  touched  or  targeted  .   you  can’t  forget  something  like  this  .  

                  finals  continue  the  next  day  ,   this  is  life  now  .   the  new  normal  is  being  able  to  continue  on  with  their  lives  after  ashes  snow  down  from  the  sky  .    the  alumni  leave  ,   elise  park  and  the  brotherhood  are  shipped  to  a  high  security  prison  ,   witness  protection  students  are  given  a  date  in  which  they  can  return  home  ,   finals  resume  ,   and  berlin  is  within  sight  of  the  near  future  .  

                 the  campus  is  quiet  ,   the  phoenix  always  did  need  silence  to  rise  from  it’s  ashes  .

this  plot  drop  marks  the  end  of  gallagherhqs  FIRST  plot  arc !   we  made  it  y’all  .   glad  to  have  y’all  with  us  .   over  the  summer  ,   the  admins  will  be  revamping  and  releasing  more  information  about  berlin  and  how  we  plan  to  run  the  roleplay  in  the  future !  

we’ll  also  probably  release  some  POLLS  to  get  opinions  ,   so  please  keep  an  eye  out  on  them  .  

the  semester  ends  real  time  on  june  28th  ,   but  in  character  it  will  be :  may  28th  .  

june  28th   (  real  time  )  will  also  be  the  last  day  you  can  roleplay  as  alumni  and  witness  protection  students  .   we’ll  post  reminders  ,   don’t  worry  too  much  about  it !  

after  this  post  ,   students  will  officially  begin  finals  weeks  .   we  also  have  planned  an  end  of  year  event  ,   so  keep  an  eye  out  for  it !

WELCOME TO BERLIN, GERMANY ! 

Dear Gallagher Student/Graduate,

Congratulations!  You have been chosen to participate in a highly competitive six week internship this summer with Germany's Federal Intelligent Services in Berlin. Outlined below is a full list of duties and responsibilities to expect from your internship this summer, as well as information regarding housing and travel accommodations.  Please read through the information carefully and contact your internship coordinator of President Laura Sutton should you have any questions or concerns.

IC Information:

Gallagher Academy and Laura Sutton felt really guilty for such a shitty school year, so she used her connections at the BND in Germany to get an internship program going for most of her students. Roughly 50% of the population of Gallagher had been invited for this opportunity, including all students in the group  ( first through fourth years from the previous semester ) .

This means that fourth years graduating at the end of the semester can still attend this internship, but no incoming first years in the fall will be able to join  ( something to keep in mind if you're interested in applying for a new muse during the summer, but more on that below ) . 

Students will be split into groups based on their skills/majors and have to work together on assignments and a few missions throughout the entire internship. Specifics on this are to come !

Students will be staying in hotel rooms paid by Gallagher that are all around Berlin. The roommate situation is two people to a room, with two rooms adjoined together  ( so four students will be together total ) . There will be no more than 12 students in one hotel together, because of security.  Gallagher will not be assigning roommates, so have fun plotting that out!

We will be keeping track of who is rooming with who so we can make sure everyone knows who is staying at what hotel.  When you've plotted your roommates out, please message the main to keep us in the loop !    If you don't send us roommate information by the time the students arrive in Germany, your character(s) will receive random roommates.

Gallagher and the BND will also be offering a stipend to use for food and other basic living expenses. Roundtrip flights, of course, are taken care of.

All internships run Monday through Friday, meaning there is plenty of time to explore Berlin, Germany, or even some neighboring countries, should students wish !  

OOC Information:

Because the group is at a different location than normal and all the students are grouped together for the internship, for the summer weeks we will NOT be accepting apps as soon as we receive them. We're still working out the kinks, but it will likely be once we receive a certain amount of apps or after activity checks.

As mentioned previously here, the real-time date of the semester ending is June 28  (  but in character it's May 28 )  . Once the semester ends, the main will go through a bit of a revamp and we'll lead right into the summer program in Berlin. When the program begins, the in-character date will jump back to match the current calendar date, meaning students will be arriving to Berlin beginning June 29.  This gives each of the characters attending the program a month to visit family, or go on vacation, or do whatever it is they want to do.

This internship might not be ic for all characters, and we get that.  So if you'd like to not include your character in it, we will put them on pause for the six week program. This means they'll stay followed and on all the character pages, but we won't be including them in activity check, because you won't be playing them for the allotted time. If you wish to do this, PLEASE let us know prior to the summer plot special starting on June 29.  Depending on the character, we may say they hadn't been offered the internship, or just chose to turn it down.

When applying for a new character during the summer weeks, you'll be including in their application the year in school they had been during the 2019-2020 school year. Once the fall semester begins at the end of August, we will be physically changing all the character information to reflect their new school year.

Just a reminder, this is AFTER witness protection students & alumni leave the group, therefore they won’t be participating in this.

               president sutton’s voice booms from the microphone on stage, where the live musicians have taken a break from their set list as the night begins to come to an end. laura, donned in all black as if to mourn the end of the school year, breaks into a long-winded speech about the trials and tribulations gallagher academy has faced this year, and how its students has risen from the ashes. it’s hard to focus on what’s she saying, however, when there’s an envelope in her hands and EVERYONE wants to know what’s inside. 

she knows they’re interested in finding out who wins the scholarship, so she saves it until the very end :    “ our georgetown visitors have all proven themselves worthy of being gallagher students this semester, but unfortunately only one scholarship can be awarded. this student will be joining us come fall as a first year, and we expect great things from her.  everybody please put your hands together for LUCE FREAR ! “

            on  the  night  of  𝐌𝐎𝐍𝐃𝐀𝐘 𝐀𝐏𝐑𝐈𝐋 𝟐𝟕   ,   five  students  sneak  into  the  underground  level  of  gallagher  .   it’s  not  without  the  help  of  𝚁𝙴𝚃𝚁𝙰𝙲𝚃𝙴𝙳   ,   for  none  of  them  are  advanced  encryption  specialists  .   spies  always  worked  best  as  a  team  ,   even  if  some  students  were  determined  to  claim  the  opposite  .  

            at  least  ,   that’s  how  laura  sutton  is  trying  to  find  a  silver  lining  in  the  middle  of  all  ...  this   .  

              𝑣𝑖𝑑𝑎 𝑡𝑜𝑟𝑟𝑒𝑠   is  recruited  for  a  small  part  of  this  student  assigned  mission  ,   for :   caden lucca, jas michaud, maddox discanio, mary sakamoto, and claire walsh   are  on  a  mission  tonight  .   it  is  ,   of  course  ,   not  a  school  assigned  mission  ,   but  a  sort  of  REVENGE  mission  .    the  five  of  them  are  an  unlikely  squad  ,   in  fact  ,   the  only  interactions  most  of  them  had  had  were  either  caden  getting  on  claire’s  nerves  ,   or  mary  getting  in  bed  with  caden  .   caden  lucca  ,   as  they  all  know  ,   gets  around  .   it’s  just  in  more  than  one  way  ,   it  seemed  .   the  man-boy  was  also  the  one  who  recruited  vida  ,   because  as  smart  as  they  were  ,   the  best  chance  at  getting  past  somewhere  where  you  needed  more  than  a  fourth  year  clearance ?   you  at  least  needed  someone  who  knew  their  way  around  a  computer  ,   and  it  was  bonus  points  if  they  had  someone  who  did  have  level  four  clearance  .   they  had  to  get  in  somehow  .   and  vida  ,   of  course  ,   personally  needed  to  make  amends  with  amelia  -  in  any  means  possible  .   and  the  rest  of  them ?   claire  and  mary  were  roommates  ,   jas  and  maddox  friends  ,   it’s  simply  off  putting  to  see  them  all  come  together  for  revenge  .  

             claire  is  the  one  who  takes  the  back  ,   while  caden  is  the  one  who  takes  lead  .   jas  is  oddly  quiet  as  the  five  of  them  tip  toe  through  the  darkness  of  the  basement  level  ,   their  spy  training  coming  into  use  a  little  earlier  than  any  of  them  initially  ever  planned  .   this  wasn’t  gallagher  approved  ,   no  .   this  is  on  them  .   maddox  is  watching  over  mary  ,   who  seems  to  be  on  edge  .   tonight  will  be  the  one  thing  they’ll  have  aggressively  in  common  .   of  course  ,   they’re  all  here  for  different  reasons  .   perhaps  it’s  for  ameila  ,   the  gallagher  girl  who  died  in  attempt  to  protect  cassie  ,   the  literally  innocent  witness  protection  student  .   or  perhaps  recent  events  triggered  this  ,   and  they’re  here  for  luce  ,   another  innocent  witness  protection  student  who  was  supposed  to  be  protected  by  louis  ,   who  ended  up  being  their  main  target  .   whatever  the  reason  ,   they  all  had  the  same  goal  .  

              they  find  cecil  behind  a  cell  ,   tied  to  a  chair  .   maddox  picks  the  lock  ,   and  they’re  all  surprised  by  how  easily  it  opens  .   cecil’s  sharp  blue  eyes  are  on  the  kids  ,   but  he  doesn’t  make  a  sound  .   to  the  group  ,   the  blue  hues  look  almost  soulless  ,   but  cecil’s  mind  is  whirling  .   he  deserves  whatever  is  coming  ,   he  thinks  .  

                they  all  thought  it  would  be  caden  that  they  would  have  to  hold  back  .   but  it  was  maddox  that  went  in  first  ,   throwing  out  a  side  hook  to  the  man  .   cecil  grunts  ,   but  doesn’t  say  anything  .   𝐡𝐞  𝐝𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐞𝐬  𝐢𝐭  .  𝐡𝐞  𝐝𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐞𝐬  𝐢𝐭  .  𝐡𝐞  𝐝𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐞𝐬  𝐢𝐭  .  𝐡𝐞  𝐝𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐞𝐬  𝐢𝐭  .  𝐡𝐞  𝐝𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐞𝐬  𝐢𝐭  .    claire  goes  in  second  ,   going  straight  for  the  nose  with  a  classic  punch  ,   and  it  breaks  with  a  CRUNCH  .   there’s  silence  for  a  short  moment  ,   before  jas  goes  in  .   the  blonde  is  quick  ,   and  it’s  surprising  how  fast  she  break  a  wrist  despite  her  small  stature  .   caden  kicks  at  the  legs  of  the  chair  ,   and  when  cecil  and  the  chair  falls  ,   he  kicks  the  man  too  .   eventually  ,   there’s  blood  on  the  their  clothes  ,   blood  on  the  floor  ,   blood  on  their  hands  -  but  it’s  not  their  own  .  

                   then  there’s  mary  ,   who’s  been  shockingly  still  and  quiet  the  whole  time  .   it’s  only  when  the  rest  of  her  peers  quiet  down  ,   and  settle  down  ,   when  she  lets  out  a  small  cry  .   it’s  one  of  pain  ,   trauma  ,   sadness  ,   and  a  sort  of  darkness  that  never  goes  away  .   no  one  notices  the  small  dagger  in  her  hand  before  it’s  too  late  ,   and  then  it’s  mary  sakamoto’s  turn  .   she  stabs  cecil  straight  in  the  neck  ,   exactly  where  an  open  wound  from  an  epi-pen  is  scarring  over  ,   and  drags  down  .   this  earns  an  actual  howl  from  cecil  ,   though  it’s  muffled  by  the  gag  in  his  mouth  .   the  first  year  removes  the  dagger  only  to  cut  his  arms  ,   then  goes  for  the  gut  .   claire  and  caden  exhange  a  glance  ,   and  for  the  first  time  ,   they’ll  agree  on  something  .   enough  is  enough  .   caden  will  wrap  his  arm  around  mary’s  waist  and  pulls  her  away  .   claire  works  quick  to  remove  the  dagger  from  mary’s  hand  ,   and  shoves  it  down  her  pockets  .   figuring  out  what  to  do  with  that  bloody  dagger  will  have  to  be  done  at  another  time  .  

                    𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐲  𝐜𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬.  the  whole  group  can  feel  it  .   and  they  know  it’s  time  to  go  .  

                  𝐥𝐚𝐮𝐫𝐚 𝐬𝐮𝐭𝐭𝐨𝐧  watches  all  this  happen  the  next  day  ,   on  camera  .   she  wonders  if  she  had  been  awake  ,   would  she  had  stopped  it ?  it’s  too  late  to  ponder  upon  that  ,   for  the  deed  has  been  done  ,   and  now  she  has  to  handle  repercussions  for  the  students  .   at  least  the  students  have  some  sort  of  closure  ,   and  god  knows  that  mary  needed  something  more  than  the  therapy  that  was  being  supplied  .   and  the  only  question  now ?  

                        it’s  a  bit  poetic  ,   laura  muses  as  she  turns  on  the  microphone  linked  to  address  the  rest  of  the  student  body  ,   at  the  very  least :  but  what  the  𝐇𝐄𝐋𝐋  was  she  going  to  do  with  a  bloody  and  broken  cecil  in  her  basement ? 

OOC  INFORMATION:

cecil  is  officially  ...  ?  we’re  leaving  this  open-ended  .   it’s  up  to  you  how  your  character  interprets  the  announcement  .   but  as  of  the  morning  of  april  28th  ,   cecil  is  officially  out  of  the  school  .  

the  announcement  was  held  during  breakfast  ,   and  laura  informs  the  students  that  he  was  beaten  badly  and  taken  off  of  campus  .  

caden,  jas,  maddox,  claire,  and  mary  all  participated  in  the  beating  of  cecil  ,   and  though  laura  sutton  didn’t  mention  any  names  ,   everyone  knows  some  students  were  more  effected  by  the  deaths  and  attacks  than  others  .

                𝐀𝐓 𝐄𝐗𝐀𝐂𝐓𝐋𝐘 𝟖:𝟏𝟑 𝐀𝐌 𝐎𝐍 𝐒𝐀𝐓𝐔𝐑𝐃𝐀𝐘, 𝐀𝐏𝐑𝐈𝐋 𝟏𝟏 ,   the loudspeaker in every room of gallagher academy is flipped on ,   the sound of static waking up the hungover students sleeping in from the previous night’s happenings .    those already awake in the gym or cafeteria look up as if president sutton herself was in the room, rather than her voice booming through the room : 

𝒈𝒐𝒐𝒅 𝒎𝒐𝒓𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒔𝒕𝒖𝒅𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒔 .   it has come to my attention that last night during our sakura picnic, someone broke into my office and stole gillian gallagher’s sword .   i ask that anyone with information on this terrible offense come forward immediately .   should the culprit turn themselves in now, their sentence will be far less severe than if they keep quiet .   rest assured this was nothing more than an insensitive prank by one of your classmates ,  and we will be getting to the bottom of this .   thank you . 

      though an early saturday morning ,   laura sutton can only imagine the WHISPERS taking over the campus as soon as she goes off air .  clicking her tongue ,   she reaches for the note sitting on her desk .   it had been wedged where the sword once sat on her wall ,   found only thirty minutes prior --  she’ll give her students half a day to come clean before she starts dusting for prints .   time to see if they had been paying attention in their how to disappear class .  black gloves peel open the note once more ;   she already knows what it says ,  she just wants the words to TAUNT her once more .   in large typed font ,   the big black words mock her as she reads :

at exactly noon on april 6th, an email from an anonymous source pops into the inbox of every gallagher student :

OVER A MONTH HAS PASSED since the tragedy that took place on valentine’s day. the psychiatrists that half the school had belly-ached over meeting with are long gone, and only a few students are still going to the school counselors regarding the incident.  but professors notice their student’s grades slipping, and even the most crowded areas of gallagher hold an eerie QUIETNESS that hadn’t been there a few months ago.  the school is still in mourning over the loss of amelia taylor and cassie snyder, but perhaps what unnerves a school full of spy students the most are the questions that remain unanswered.

the restricted section of the library is for librarians and faculty eyes only. when the last librarian finishes their shift at 10pm, it’s locked away with a key that apparently only few have in their possession.  however, a certain gallagher girl arrives to the library well past midnight with the key tucked away in her pocket.  only an original gallagher girl -- one who attended the school BEFORE boys and normal kids were allowed to do so -- would know that if you ask around long enough, someone’s bound to have a copy of a copy of the restricted key lying around.  luckily for elisa casper, it doesn’t take long to locate one.

neither her nor faith rush are research and development majors, nor are they even FRIENDS, but they both find themselves in the restricted area of the library with the same mission at hand.  thank goodness too, because neither can understand the librarian’s random organizational method, so even with two people it takes them hours to move through the shelves. it’s been almost a week now of their nightly visits to the restricted section, turning page after page until their fingers are littered with paper cuts. it’s a thursday night, and they both have tests in the morning, but just one more book, faith tells them, just one more...

but right before elisa’s about to call it a night, faith finds a dusty missions report dated fourteen years back. included in the summary report :  THE BROTHERHOOD OF CAVAN.

once they find a lead, the rest is just falling down a rabbit hole on information.  neither of the girls realize the sun is beginning to rise until their eyes start drooping.  books from the restricted section aren’t meant to be taken out, but who will even notice they’re missing ?

nestled in a quiet corner on campus ( since they did technically steal library books ) ,  the girls spend two days going through all the information together, though they soon realize that EVERYONE at gallagher should know this information.  elisa understands why gallagher is keeping it from them ;   it doesn’t exactly paint gallagher and blackthorne in a POSITIVE light.  but if this organization is truly behind the murder, faith reminds her, the students need to prepare themselves that the worst has probably yet to come.

elisa’s only talked to campbell durand from her driver’s ed class a few times, but she knows he’s an encryption major and probably knows the best way to reach the student body of gallagher by the masses. it’s not very hard to talk him into it, once she gives him a recap on everything her and faith have learned. if they compose the note that details everything the gallagher students should know, camp tells her, he’ll make sure they all receive it. they all agree that ANONYMOUS is the way to do it.

so that evening elisa and faith meet together for one last time, and they begin to write.

𝐅𝐑𝐈𝐃𝐀𝐘, 𝐀𝐏𝐑𝐈𝐋 𝟐𝟒

             𝐃𝐄𝐄𝐏 𝐁𝐄𝐋𝐎𝐖 𝐆𝐀𝐋𝐋𝐀𝐆𝐇𝐄𝐑, past basement level  ( where few only know of its existence ) ,   cecile lefebvre sits tied to a chair, a position he’s been in for the past however many hours. authorities have already been informed of the part he played in everything going on at gallagher this semester, though at the request of gallagher academy and president sutton he hasn’t been put into custody yet.  the crimes he’s committed have been on the gallagher community, and he’s not leaving the school until he starts talking and filling in some blanks.

unfortunately for gallagher, cecil is a trained professional, and he doesn’t like talking.

laura sutton isn’t the only faculty member to take cecil and the brotherhood’s infiltration personally, so throughout his two days on sub-level 1, his holding room is a revolving door of professors and faculty members coming to interrogate and threaten him. all methods under the sun are used :   deception, suggestibility, pride-and-ego.  covert ops professor william buckley has to be physically escorted out of the room for trying to torture the prisoner, and medical training professor ingrid sullivan offers to test out psychological drugs on him that she just so happens to have on her. it’s a tempting offer, despite being ILLEGAL, especially because the longer they go without information, the longer the witness protection students are stuck in limbo of not knowing what’s going on around them. laura knows she should’ve used her special tea on luce frear to make her forget about all she saw the night cecil attacked louis redgrave, but her instincts had told her not to, and laura sutton knows to trust her instincts.

however, she can only imagine the confusing mess gallagher academy seems to be to luce and her friends.  if only she can get information regarding the brotherhood out of cecil, she’ll know what exactly to TELL the students -- all of them.

but laura sutton has one more trick up her sleeve.  cecil lefebvre may have been a ghost up until his brief mentoring stint at gallagher, but there was still one person at the academy he had ties with :  his brother, leo lefebvre.  if cecil had been part of the brotherhood, laura reasons with him, surely leo would’ve known ?   she’s offers to call leo down and have him interrogated alongside his brother, and that’s the moment it happens, when laura can see that she’s found the one thing they can use over him.

from there information slowly but surely begins to spill out of cecil, and laura's so happy she’d probably look back at this moment and say he was singing like a canary, if not for just about EVERYTHING he tells her.  it’s hard to feel proud once you find out everything you’ve thought was going on was completely flipped.

𝐈𝐓'𝐒 𝐍𝐄𝐀𝐑𝐋𝐘 𝐓𝐄𝐍 𝐎'𝐂𝐋𝐎𝐂𝐊 𝐀𝐓 𝐍𝐈𝐆𝐇𝐓 when laura sutton calls an emergency assembly with the gallagher students.  nobody is particularly surprised at it, since the student body’s been waiting on information from the president since hearing about the attack through the grapevine. some students even grumble that she’s too late on telling them this, just like she had never completely told them about the brotherhood. the students go quiet as laura sutton approaches the podium, and anyone who knows her well would see that she’s looking a little worse for wear :   mascara slightly smudged, faint circles under her eyes, and a wrinkled pencil skirt.

“ thank you for the last minute assembly, “   she says, looking out into the crowd.   “ as i’m sure you are all aware, wednesday night at approximately two-thirty am covert ops mentor cecile lefebvre allegedly attacked witness protection student luce frear. fourth year louis redgrave had been doing his assignment and was on the scene at the time, and because of him we were able to take cecil into custody. “

president sutton pauses briefly.   “ after interrogating him for the past two days, we’ve learned more information on the brotherhood and their plans for gallagher academy, and i wanted to be sure we had complete transparency going forward. for now we are still in the process of learning as much as we can about these accusations, but i ask for your patience and understanding -- and as always, your discretion. 

“ according to cecil lefebvre, the brotherhood is interested in taking down gallagher academy, similar to its failed attempts on blackthorne institute years prior.  luce had not been the target of the attack wednesday morning on the park floor -- it had been LOUIS. “   she lets that information sink in for a moment.   “ the brotherhood is allegedly targeting legacy students.  it seems that now that we’re aware the brotherhood already exists, there’s no longer a need to target the georgetown students. “  laura lets that sink in as well.

“ as always, safety of our gallagher students is of the utmost concern. as of right now we have reason to believe the brotherhood has figured out a way within our walls, so the arresting of mr. lefebvre is not the end of this. but rest assured, we will be getting to the bottom of this.  no more BLOOD will be spilled this year, that i can promise you. “   and with a hard stare she sends out into the crowd, only a fool wouldn’t believe her.

but she isn’t done yet. president sutton clears her throat, leaning closer to the podium.  she’s almost... nervous ?   “ as for the witness protection students, “   she continues,   “ despite what mr. lefebvre may have said, until the brotherhood is rightfully disbanded, their safety is still compromised. they will continue to stay with us for the remainder of the semester. “   a slight pause.   “ the attack the other night had brought up... questions among the georgetown students, so previous to this assembly, i sat down with them myself. “   it’s impossible to pinpoint specific faces in the crowd, but laura sutton can imagine three students in particular sat up straighter at this ;  despite being undercover as witness protection kids, they HADN’T been invited to the meeting.   “ for the remainder of the time they are staying with us, we thought it’d be best for them to know the truth. about everything. “ 

indeed, only a few hours earlier laura sutton had invited the eleven georgetown students into her office and told them the CLASSIFIED truth about gallagher academy, assuring them that if they told anyone about it, they’d surely regret it.  to say they took it well was an understatement.

“ beginning monday, they will be taking their own gallagher courses in self-defense and assimilations, run by volunteer mentors.  if any students would like to help as well, please email me and i can forward your inquiry to the correct person. “ 

minds are still reeling in the audience as laura sutton makes a closing statement and recites the gallagher motto. even as students peel out of the auditorium, many can’t help but think about the HISTORY having been made today -- civilians know the truth about gallagher.

OOC INFORMATION:

as mentioned above, witness protection students now know the truth about gallagher academy being a school for spies, and about grayson, jo, and ella having been undercover the entire time. they don’t know the specifics about cecil/an alum being the murderer, just that the person has been caught though they’re still in potential danger.  if you’d like your student or alum character to be involved with their self-defense of assimilations classes, please message the main.

𝐖𝐄𝐃𝐍𝐄𝐒𝐃𝐀𝐘, 𝐀𝐏𝐑𝐈𝐋 𝟐𝟐

               𝐈𝐓’𝐒 𝟐𝐀𝐌, 𝐀 𝐅𝐀𝐂𝐓 𝐓𝐇𝐀𝐓 louis redgrave is none too pleased about. he doesn’t know why luce is on his floor, he only wants her to go to her room and go to sleep (so he can go to his room, and go to sleep). she refuses, her reasoning cryptic and nonsensical, which he points out, and makes the case that it only proves how tired she is.

they start arguing for what feels like the millionth time that night, when suddenly luce stops talking, and for a brief moment louis feels like it’s a small victory.

until he notices the way she’s staring straight behind him.

his instincts, hammered in after years at blackthorne, tell him to spin around immediately and he’s met with a swift punch to the jaw. he stumbles backwards, a little dizzy, but he still has the wherewithal to remember luce. luce. the girl he’s been assigned to protect, no matter what – actually, for this matter exactly.

he can’t see the man’s (judging by their build) face, but he knows this must be a brotherhood member. the one who killed amelia and cassie.

louis backs up against luce, forcing her to the wall with his body as a shield. his fingers briefly ghost across the jagged cut on his chin, freshly made by the ring on his attacker’s hand.

the physical, especially the violent and physical, has never been louis’s comfort area. but what choice does he have, with both of their lives on the line? he’s not even worried about blowing his cover as a normal student. it’s hard to give a shit about that right now. if they both make it out of this alive, president sutton will just have to forgive him.

and thank him, actually, for putting his life on the line in the supposed safety of his own school.

when the brotherhood member unsheathes a dagger, louis mutters an expletive under his breath before turning to put a hand on luce’s shoulder, ducking down and forcing her into a squatting position along with him just as the cloaked man strikes. 

he misses. the first time. “stay down!” louis commands her, and just as he stands back up, the man strikes out again and stabs louis in the shoulder. so that’s what it feels like to be stabbed. he doesn’t love it.

adrenaline and fear help him forget that he’s bleeding profusely and before the man can use his dagger again, louis kicks him square in the gut, sending him tumbling to the floor. it feels like he did something right, but he doesn’t have a follow-up. and what’s more, he doesn’t have any weapons.

or does he?

the man quickly gets to his feet again and louis is still working on his plan when one of luce’s shoes comes flying from behind him, hitting the brotherhood member square in the face. louis wants to shoot her an incredulous look but he doesn’t have the time.

he’s fumbling with his fanny pack, trying to get it unzipped but his hands are sweaty and he’s really fucking scared and even if his assailant isn’t much bigger than him, he’s definitely older, and probably knows more about fighting.

almost as if on command, a rogue greg rolls into the room, blasting kiss from a rose. louis doesn’t remember programming it to play that song in particular (okay...yes he does) but suddenly it’s his new favorite song and the unexpected appearance of music distracts the brotherhood member, who whips towards the sound as if it’s another student he’ll have to kill.

it buys louis just enough time to unzip his fanny pack and locate his epipen with shaky fingers. just as the cloaked man returns his attention to louis, suddenly he’s gone...he considers going straight for luce, but before he can take a single step towards her, louis has his arm around the brotherhood member’s neck.

he stabs his now cap-less epipen into the other man’s throat, digging the needle in and pulling hard across his skin to create a sizable gash. not the kind of throat ripping you see in the movies where the victim bleeds out immediately, but it’s enough.

the brotherhood member clutches at his neck and drops his weapon as he stumbles into the wall opposite luce, and louis takes this as his opening to grab him firmly by the chin and bash his head against the wall. twice for good measure. he’s never actually done this before, he’s not sure how hard it is to knock a real live person out.

thankfully, the man slumps to the ground and louis turns as if to call for help...but first, he removes the brotherhood mask, revealing the unconscious face of cecile lefebvre.

“the covert ops mentor?” he says aloud to himself, confused, because...covert ops??

luce lets out a ragged breath and slowly, louis turns to face her.

shit. secret’s out.

news of the brawl and the covert ops mentor as a member of the brotherhood spreads around the campus, making it public knowledge in no time, though president sutton has yet to address it.

with luce as a witness, all the georgetown student know that something is up with gallagher academy beyond a shadow of a doubt within 24 hours of the attack ic.

𝐒𝐀𝐓𝐔𝐑𝐃𝐀𝐘, 𝐀𝐏𝐑𝐈𝐋 𝟏𝟖

              𝐈𝐓'𝐒 𝐁𝐄𝐄𝐍 𝐀 𝐖𝐄𝐄𝐊  since gilly’s sword went missing from president sutton’s office, and the rumors about its whereabouts have yet to cease. though not a single person had dropped by laura sutton’s office to give any information or claim ownership for the prank, the halls were swirling with different stories. more than one person had gone around telling people that they stole the sword, though not a single name spoken has been correct.

and naturally, it made one boy in particular very amused  ( and a little salty ) .

“ you’re shitting me. “   two boys are walking down the park floor hallway, though one quickly shushes the other.  caden lucca just can’t stop laughing, as if the joke his buddy levi madden told is the funniest thing.  “ you do not have it. “ 

“ will you shut up ? “   levi rolls his eyes as they stop outside his dorm so he can open the door.  

thankfully neither of his roommates are around when they enter, and the visitor makes himself comfortable on a bottom bunk while levi grabs a screwdriver hidden in his desk and climbs up to one of the top beds.  caden barely pays attention, instead enjoyably ragging on his friend about how there’s no possible way LEVI could’ve stolen the sword.  levi just ignores him, focusing his attention on unscrewing the air vent in the corner of the wall.  once it’s open, levi carefully sticks his hand in to feel for the hilt, hand absently groping around to find it.  when all that his hands find is air, the boy’s heartbeat begins to speed up.

he peers into the vent as best as he can, eyes trying to shift around in its darkness.   “ it’s not here. “   levi’s trying not to panic, but it’s hard not to ;   he had worked so hard to steal the damn sword, and now he’s managed to lose gallagher’s most prized possession.  

caden starts up once more, laughing about how there’s no way he even had it to begin with, but levi ignores him.  there’s only one other person who knew he had the sword, the eldest sutton girl who had nearly caught him in the act, before drunkenly rattling off a way to steal the sword without losing all his hair in the process.  but it’s unlikely she had stolen the sword from his hiding place, not when she could’ve just ratted him out to her mother. 

levi had just begun to think about what he was going to DO with the sword, because so much thought had gone into stealing it.  he had expected it to be the hard part -- NOT holding on to the damn thing. his fingers curl and uncurl into fists as he fights the urge to punch something, ignoring his friend as he climbs off the top bunk. caden’s unfazed.  “ where’s the sword, dude ?   did it get legs and walk away ? “   

it takes a lot of effort not to punch his best friend square in the jaw, but caden’s question does raise a good point.  if the sword’s not where he left it, then where WAS it ?

being the president of gallagher academy has never been easy, but for the most part, it’s been manageable. this year seems hellbent on ruining laura sutton’s reputation, her career, and even her personal life. when she first agreed that gallagher would be a suitable place for the witness protection students from georgetown to lay low, she never expected that one of them, and one of gallagher’s own, would be murdered.

she’s been thinking about how best to rectify the situation, consulting with some of the other professors and alumni, and the fact of the matter is there is no fixing what’s happened. but she would like for the georgetown students to feel safe, safer, at their temporary school.

in an effort to ease their minds, laura has called in the georgetown students to meet in her office in small groups of four, allowing them to ask questions and make (reasonable) demands. after speaking to all of the students, these questions stuck out in her mind:

how long will we be here ? who’s after us ?

these are the two questions she either doesn’t have any answer to or can’t answer honestly, and she knew going into this, even with the best of intentions, that her responses would most likely be vague and disappointing.

she looks over her desk at the students, her hands folded on the tabletop and her back straight to hide any deception. or nerves.

“i can’t tell you exactly how much longer you’re expected to stay at gallagher -- that’s WITSEC‘s jurisdiction and out of my hands. i can only promise you that your safety is of the utmost importance while you’re here. i know how flimsy that sounds given recent events, but my hope is that you will be able to return home in a few months.”

the next question is even harder to answer and she makes a concentrated effort not to swallow when she speaks again.

“you are here because there might be people wishing to harm you, people tied to the bombing that landed you all here in the first place. because a gallagher student was also attacked, i don’t feel comfortable assuming that anybody is targeting your group specifically. it’s possible those we’re trying to protect you from have learned of your location, and if so, then you might be leaving gallagher sooner rather than later.”

their demands are far simpler, yet just as delicate to deal with: facetime & ubereats privileges and to join gallagher classes.

she hasn’t been expected the last question and there’s no way to answer that won’t be disappointing. but in the end, she agrees to facetiming if done in a particular room on campus, one she will make sure has a typical collegiate background. deliveries to the school are prohibited and getting to the heart of campus isn’t something that anyone can do. if they would like to make special requests of the school chefs, they are encouraged to do so. and, lastly, even if gallagher was a normal school, joining classes wouldn’t be possible. the semester is already half over and the credits wouldn’t transfer to georgetown, not to mention the fact that they’re already enrolled in courses of their own.

“i know it’s not perfect, but i hope these accommodations make you all feel more at ease here.”

president sutton wishes there was more she could do, but, as often seems to be the case these days, her hands are tied.

     cassie  snyder   (  the  vice  president  of  the  amnesty  club  )  finds  herself  needing  some  fresh  air  ,   and  figures  if  a  bunch  of  kids  are  out  there  lighting  lanterns  ,   then  what’s  the  harm  of  going  out  for  a  smoke ?  she  leaves  at  the  same  time  as  a  raven  haired  girl  in  pastel  and  she  introduces  herself  to  the  other  .     ‘  i’m  amelia  (  @ameliasfm  )  ,  ’    she  tells  cassie  ,   bright  smile  on  her  lips  .     ‘  you  know  anywhere  private  to  smoke ?  ’    is  what  leaves  the  blonde’s  lips  ,   right  before  a  :   ‘  i’m  cassie  .  ’

     the  two  chat  .   they  get  along  ,   of  course  ,   because  amelia  is  a  sociable  girl  and  nosy  too  .   she  wants  to  know  more  about  the  students  ,   about  cassie  .   the  irish  girl  thinks  this  could  be  a  good  connection  ,   and  they’re  friendly  now  anyways  .    so  the  two  girls  take  a  selfie  ,   now  friends  for  the  rest  of  their  lives  .  

     it’s  not  a  long  life  ,   nor  friendship  .   amelia  hears  her  named  being  called  ,   right  as  they  arrive  at  the  old  mill  .     ‘  there’ll  be  students  here  ,   but  they’re  cool  about  anything  -  ’   she  tells  the  blonde  ,   before  going  off  .   but  it’s  hard  to  ignore  that  it’s  not  as  rowdy  as  usual  .   she’s  about  to  step  away  when  she  hears  a  call  for  help  .

     for  the  trained  spy  ,   it  seems  to  move  in  slow  motion  .   the  shadow  has  a  glint  of  a  knife  in  their  hand  ,   and  amelia  moves  as  fast  as  she  can  ,   but  she’s  not  fast  enough  .   a  gasp  is  heard  from  the  blonde  girl  ,   and  amelia  uses  all  her  strength  to  pull  the  offender  off  the  girl  -  but  they’re  still  too  fast  .   there’s  one  ,   two  ,   three  stabs  to  the  gut  .   amelia  tries  to  move  .   another  stab  .   the  figure  turns  around  to  finish  the  job  on  the  blonde  .

𝟷:𝟻𝟼𝙰𝙼:  𝐨𝐥𝐝 𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐥.

    it’s  oddly  dark  in  the  old  ,    abandoned  building  .   mary  assumed  there  would  still  be  classmates  wandering  around  ,   but  it’s  silent  .   she  takes  her  flashlight  and  wanders  around  ,   picking  up  some  lantern  pieces  and  shaking  her  head  at  the  sight  of  red  paint  .   is  that  even  worth  trying  to  clean  up ?   the  girl  will  wonder  ,   considering  how  old  the  place  was  .   then  her  flashlight  catches  sight  of  matted  and  bloody  blonde  hair  ,   a  pastel  baby  blue  sweater  stained  red  ,   and  the  sight  of  amelia  taylor  &  cassie  snyder  on  the  ground  .   there’s  blood  surrounding  the  two  of  them  ,   so  much  that  she  can’t  tell  whose  is  whose  -  and  immediately  runs  to  the  two  of  them  ,   hand  shaking  as  she  makes  a  phone  call  .

    the  LUCKY  ones  are  the  ones  asleep  ,   but  also  the  ones  without  phones  .   all  phones  throughout  the  school  ring  simultaneously  .    there’s  a  notification  for  an  email  ,   with  only  𝐂𝐎𝐃𝐄 𝐁𝐋𝐀𝐂𝐊  written  in  the  subject  line  .   there’s  instructions  for  students  to  go  to  the  nearest  room  ,   and  await  for  further  instruction  .   there’s  an  announcement  on  the  speakers  for  witness  protection  students  ,   letting  them  know  that  the  school  is  now  on  LOCKDOWN  and  to  return  to  the  nearest  room  for  their  safety  .  everything  in  the  school  goes  dark  ,   with  only  the  flickering  of  lanterns  placed  in  rooms  and  the  halls  .   they’re  left  alone  ,   and  in  pure  silence  .  

𝟷𝟷:𝟻𝟸𝙰𝙼:  𝐚𝐥𝐮𝐦𝐧𝐢 𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐬.

      mary  sakamoto  is  escorted  to  her  room  by  her  own  choice  after  a  long  night  of  interviews  in  laura  sutton’s  office  .   alumni  are  personally  doing  one  last  check  on  floors  to  make  sure  no  one  has  gotten  in  ,   nor  out  .   they’re  also  speaking  with  students  in  each  room  ,   offering  comfort  and  kind  words  when  they’re  needing  it  .   the  alumni  also  bring  food  robots  ,   all  named  greg  ,   which  will  deliver  meals  to  the  students  until  further  notice  .   the  doors  are  opened  8  minutes  later  ,   finally  allowing  for  students  to  wander  around  on  JUST  their  dorm  floors  .  

𝐎𝐎𝐂 𝐈𝐍𝐅𝐎𝐑��𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍:

there  were  two  bodies  found  by  mary  sakamoto  around  2am  .  

amelia  taylor  and  cassie  snyder  are  now  dead  .   the  faceclaims  of  camila  mendes  and  keirnan  shipka  are  now  retired  . 

from  2am  -  12pm  ,   students  were  locked  in  whatever  personal  rooms  they  were  in  .  

phones  did  not  work  from  this  period  of  time  .  

from  12pm  onwards  ,   students  were  allowed  to  wander  around  the  FLOOR  of  the  dorms  they  were  locked  in  .  

phones  begin  to  work  again  at  this  time  .   ( witness  protection  students  STILL  don’t  have  them  oops . )

mission  students  will  return  back  to  school  and  be  escorted  back  to  their  dorms  .

all  gallagher  students  are  told  there’s  been  a  murder ,  but  no  specifics  yet  ,  including  who  .

there  will  be  a  robot  delivering  food  to  each  floor  .   his  name  is  greg  .

when  making  open  starters  ,   please  be  wary  of  witness  protection  students  and  state  the  LOCATION  of  where  your  character  is  in  order  to  make  for  easy  interactions  .

              THE TRUE STUDENT BODY OF GALLAGHER ACADEMY receives an email the sunday before classes begin that there will be an assembly bright and early monday morning ,  before the witness protection students can even fathom waking up yet ,  before even the earliest classes are set to begin .  nobody dares to miss it ,  not when president sutton sent out the email blast  personally  from her office .

        january 27, 2020, 5:00 :   the auditorium is packed but silent ,  as bleary-eyed ,  yawning students all perk up in their seats when president sutton walks onto stage and steps up to the podium .    “ GOOD MORNING STUDENTS , “   she says .   “ i would first like to commend everyone on another successful bootcamp session .  i know it hasn’t been easy for everyone ,  especially with our new GUESTS as a distraction ,  but you’ve all proven yourself that each and every one of you deserve to be here .  

                 “ i also would like to thank you for showing our new students from georgetown university such a WARM welcome .  we are still working with the authorities to understand the threat at large ,  but until then gallagher remains the safest place for them .  once we find out more ,  you all will be notified as well .   but because of this imminent threat ,  unfortunately we will not be opening the campus this weekend ,  as we always do . “   THIS garners a small response from the crowd ;   everyone always looked forward to visiting roseville the first weekend after the semester began . 

                  “ HOWEVER . “   a single word brings a hush among the crowd .   “ because of the new students and indefinite code red we’ve been put on ,   we at gallagher want to be sure that each and every one of you are still being offered the very best for your training .  so i’m very excited to introduce our new faculty members for the second semester . “   her hand motions to the side of the stage ,  and twenty or so unfamiliar figures join president sutton ,  lining up behind her along the length of the stage .  each are donned in the gallagher crested blazers all faculty wear .  even the drowsiest students are now all at the edge of their seats in curiosity . 

                  “ these faculty members are the best of the best ,  all alumni from gallagher or the late blackthorne .  each have been hand-picked to serve as a mentor for a particular area of study at gallagher ,  based on their current career path and previous studies at our own fine institute .  each major will have one gallagher alum and one blackthorne alum that will be rotating throughout classes to provide assistance to professors ,  and will be meeting with each of you regularly for one-on-one mentoring . “   president sutton pauses .   “ they are also here to provide extra security for our current guests .  please treat them with as much respect and dignity as you do for the rest of our faculty . “  

               this time in her silence ,  a round of applause sounds from the students ,  but not without whispers as well .  someone swears they recognize one alumni ,  another person complains that this will just mean harsher grading for the entire semester .  but it’s not until later that a very important questions pops up in a few students heads :   why does gallagher ,  known as one of the safest schools in the world ,  need more protection ? 

𝐎𝐎𝐂 𝐈𝐍𝐅𝐎𝐑𝐌𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍 :  we will now be introducing gallagher & blackthorne alumni as temporary playable characters ,  and will be accepting twenty-four in total  ( as mentioned above ,  two per major ) .  you will soon be able to find the application for them on our app page ,  but PLEASE keep in mind that these characters must be 32+  ( and rather than our 5+/- year rule regarding faceclaims ,  alumni characters must not be two years older or younger than their face’s real age )  and we will  N O T  be allowing any student/alumni romantic relationships  ( because it makes some people + admin penny uncomfy ) .  for now we will be keeping track of who applies for them on our app count page ,  and accepting whatever apps we receive tomorrow  ( 1/27 )  at approximately 10:30pm est .  as always ,  message us if you have any questions !
