One of the greatest things about Auckland Armageddon 2017 was finally meeting in person the brilliant Gretel Newman Sugrue! If you like #GalexyTales books, Gretel is the one who reads them first and gives me awesome, insightful advice that I completely ignore until it becomes shockingly apparent that she is not only totally correct but that the changes (everything fron reshuffling chapter orders or tweaking characters to "this book doesn't have an ending!") are utterly, vitally essential! Knowing someone online, and trusting them with your creative success is sometimes hard, but Gretel has been a unique and definitive part of the growth, quality and success od Galexy Tales books... and meeting IRL to find that Gretal is as dry, witty, wise and fun as she is online was a real treat. On top of that, when things went occasionally pear-shaped over the sometimes very hectic event, she was a true friend and "rock". Thanks so much Gretel! We will meet again!

I watched this pair wander down aisles of Adelaide OzCon but never come near mine until finally on Sunday arvo they made my day :) The 6pm timeslot on ABC weeknights somehow kept a lot of us 80s kids sane... when The Doctor wasn't around...
