The compromise between matter as a transforming element and the body as an intimate and minute redux of that materiality marks VERA MOTA’s (Porto, 1982) second exhibition at Galeria BRUNO MÚRIAS — ‘Performing Matters’. Rehearsing tensions that preamble the transience of form and its impossibility, the exhibition reflects upon the acting quality of the materialities choreographed by the artist in the face of forces of containment and repetition of a gesture.
