Lark loves a good interesting character. This brightly colored man doing yoga in some random spot was pretty great. Excellent, even. Something to focus on other than Lark's inability to get any work done with one of his elbows still out of commission!

Kat tended to forget how imposing she could be to strangers. Especially when she was bee-lining it quickly towards them, but, Elman's outfit was just so bright and vibrant, she couldn't help herself! She had to compliment them, and it was hardly her fault she was so dang big!

"It's not my fault you don't know when to fold," came the relatively snarky reply as Alastor eyed the several other Sinners with whom he'd been playing a slightly tipsy game of poker. With Souls on the line, Alastor was never once deemed a loser - and thus, the card games never did last very long. He'd collect and move on, hopefully that no one at the hotel caught wind of his dealings.

For all intents and purposes, he'd given up on that behavior when the hotel became the priority.

Ah, but these Sinners did not need to know that either.

In an anxious huff, they began to clear the table one by one, leaving the haughty and pleased radio demon to lightly slosh about the liquor still in his glass before taking a victorious swig. His gaze lazily returned to the other patrons in the small hole-in-the-wall bar he'd nestled in for the time being. Most gave him a wide berth - it was only the unfortunate Sinners whom had tasted what it was like to underestimate Alastor's wiles.

It seemed some never learned.

hii sorry this is late but i went to bed early and then was at work but now i’m home!!

12. Ideas of a perfect date: we do something we both like, i like the first date to be somewhere public where you’re not bound to be with them for too long (so one can leave if it feels totally wrong and if it’s a creep), but also where we can relax and talk and get to know each other. like a café. but if we’re a few dates in i like to invite them to my place so i can show off my cooking skills. ideally we go shopping the ingredients together first, and then spend the whole evening together and maybe also night.

Hedgie clutches her chest, face twisting into a feigned grimace of pain and sorrow. Oh truly she was but a victim of his cruelty!

“Sinswyn you wound me!” She gasps. It wasn’t a lie, she did feel a touch hurt that he still struggled with the importance of the lesson and by extension, gift she was giving him. However, she was a being of dramatics. “To declare me unwanted after I had spent long traveling to find you! Oh! My heart!”

She’d pause for a moment before leaning forward, smiling. “Ah, I know what would cheer you! What if I taught you a new spell?”

“I missed you. It’s been so long and you never come to visit so I had to come to you.” Hedgie flashes him another grin before reaching out to flick the corner of his hat.

“Besides, I wanted to be certain you were still doing your best~. Don’t want you to forget the lesson I’m trying to teach you. Now, tell Hedgie, what all have you been doing?”

Kat was a simple woman. If she saw something worth complimenting, she would do so without hesitation. Elman was a wonderful showman— they needed to be told!

She would chuckle loudly at the flourish accompanying the wink before nodding, "I've been here all five minutes, maybe. Oh, I've not been to a carnival like this since I was little! Is there anything you would recommend I go to first?"

Elman truly was flattered. Sure, they heard compliments aplenty as his job often earned such comments, but it never got old. "It warms me to hear that I've yet to lose my touch!" He gave a happy wink. Was there a bit of sparkling glitter that appeared as he did? Maybe.

"Did you just come into the carnival, Kat? Do enjoy your time here, I assure you've not seen anything yet, dear!"
