so true aagh my pokemon hyperfixation is continuing. i find it very funny that while there are games that have like, proper intentional lore (utdr, subnautica, slime rancher, zelda) that i love dissecting, i equally love dissecting games with lore where like, its definitely more of an afterthought. at least in terms of complicated timeline stuff in pokemon

like. do people go to pokemon for the groundbreaking story? seems not. is there a concrete answer to all of The Timeline Split shenanigans? probably not, just some stuff they probably shoved in there to be cool. BUT LIKE *GOD* i just... maybe its that games like risk of rain or pokemon where they make some of the larger lore up as they go... have a lot of room for widely agreed upon headcanons? maybe thats why i like it anyways, yeah my Hyperfixation(TM) is on the lore of pokemon now. i rambled on to a friend about the timeline split, and how maybe necrozma made the LGPE universe... and how...
agh, i think i just love the space for Cool Headcanons on the universe, because they give vague hints enough to let everyone arrive to a similar conclusion but with no conclusive answer in reality. (also i really love that in pokemon you can look for the cultural inspirations, like immediately terapagos is... galapagos islands! and then you see that in the code area zero is referred to a few times as atlantis! and you start to see patterns of inspiration the devs mightve taken for the mons... and i just love seeing the culture! the biological inspirations, cultural inspirations... i love me some social sciences. shoutouts to anthropology for being way cooler than it sounds) i do think this thing probably has a true form that IS way less comprehensible, like. maybe it was really freaking big, once upon a time. maybe there was an ancient civilization that lived with it, with it creating things out of their desires (i mean cmon terastal is pretty close to paradox mons in both being like, things that Shouldnt Be becoming real) and that is why professor turo having a boring imagination as a child is to blame for the violet paradox mons all being robots-
