pro tip for queer activists

1) because you’re queer and aware/well-educated on many different LGBTI+ subjects doesn’t mean you’re allowed to speak on the behalf of other people with different identity than yours within the community as if you knew better

2) because you have a very intersectional experience doesn’t mean people who don’t (for instance, white gay men) are not oppressed at all

3) your perspective on LGBTI+ representation in mainstream medias has a lot of importance, but you don’t get a pass to decide that the rep of identities other than yours is good when most concerned people are saying it’s bad
