this is kinda random but I saw Josh Gad on tiktok and it got me wondering, do you think LeFou and Belle keep in touch as time goes on or do they just say hi if they happened to see one another and that's kind of it?

lovely Q!!! so, my personal post-canon world for lefou is that he and stanley end up falling for each other and moving to another village to start fresh and live a life together. that doesn’t happen right away though.

i don’t think belle and lefou ever really spoke much. she obviously wasn’t a fan of gaston, and given that lefou was his lackey, they probably didn’t really interact much. however, after all the shit goes down, i think lefou does find a moment, maybe even at that celebration ball (which i hc takes place a week after the curse lifting), to apologize to belle for following gaston’s footsteps all those years. he should’ve stood up for what was right and he’s sorry for being a coward when she and her father needed the support more than ever.

belle, of course, forgives him entirely. she knows (and has known for a while) that it was very clear what gaston and lefou’s relationship was like, and she understands his influence was strong and that lefou did have a good heart deep down. i think they became friendly after that, but didn’t have much reason to interact. lefou went to pick up the pieces of his life in villeneuve, and belle was courting her beloved. whenever she did stay in the village during this period, she’d definitely stop and say hi to lefou if they happened to cross paths. just to check in on how he’s doing. i think by this point he’s found acquaintanceship with stanley, and probably attraction, but because of how shaken he was from everything that happened with gaston, i think he’d be pretty guarded about having any kind of relationship with anyone at first.

(and for the record, i don’t ship gafou. no hate, i just don’t ship it! i think lefou definitely very clearly was into gaston, but i don’t think gaston felt that way about him. gaston just needed someone to worship him, and lefou was perfect. and obviously the entire thing was unhealthy and toxic anyway, so it’s all for the best. but anyway, i just mean that lefou would be afraid to let anyone close into his life again, since it all went so terribly with gaston.)

all this to say, besides maybe sharing some pleasantries and hey! maybe even a pint or two at the pub, i don’t think belle and lefou would interact much. she’d definitely be glad to get to know him though, considering he was living in gaston’s shadow the entire time she knew of him, but i don’t think they’d become besties particularly.

by the time belle had married adam and they’d returned from their honeymoon, i think something had sparked between lefou and stanley and they were talking about leaving town to start fresh somewhere. i don’t think lefou would feel inclined to tell belle in particular that he was leaving, especially considering she’s The Queen now, he knows she’s got a busy life. but eventually at some point (not too much time having passed), belle, maurice, and père robert are having dinner together on a sunday, which they often do, and belle suddenly thinks to ask what lefou is up to. feels like she hasn’t seen or heard from him in a while. and père robert reports that lefou and stanley moved away together. he says that he seemed happy, and also a lot more confident than anyone had ever seen in him before.

belle was content to learn this, and they toasted to lefou and his happiness before continuing their lovely dinner. we all wish lefou and stanley a very pleasant evening 🫶🎩

Omg I just had the stupidest but also funniest but also kind of cool headcanon for Gafou. Ok so I was watching Dancing With The Stars clips and I was like omg what if Gaston and Lefou went on there and no body thought they would do good but they turned out to be the freaking best team out there. And when they win they're so happy that they kiss bc it was hard to keep their feelings under control throughout the season especially during the sexy dances😉���😂

Omg I actually love this so much- 

Imagine if Adam and Belle, Lumiere and Plumette, and Stanley and Claudette (brother and sister team, Stanley being the Bimbettes’ brother headcanon ftw) were up there too. 

So Adam and Belle are really good at ballroom, Lumiere and Plumette are wonderful at salsa dancing, and Stanley and Claudette do good modern dance moves. But then Gaston and Lefou go out there with a killer, perfectly rehearsed tango, (really, it’s a mystery how they got it so down pat when all the rehearsals were filled with so much sexual tension) but they’re amazing, Lefou even going so far as to hold a rose between his teeth until he passes it to Gaston by mouth at the end of the dance 

The contestants and judges are shocked, because Gaston and Lefou had said they had little to no professional training (Gaston’s mother enrolled him in lessons as a young boy, but it never really went anywhere after his early teen years, and Lefou had never danced before he started practicing for this- singing was really his forte) 

They win easily, and Belle literally goes up to them and gushes about how good they were and their chemistry and everything

Cause they had reeeeally good chemistry during the dance- locked, intense eye contact, near kisses if it hadn’t been for that damn rose, and touches and dips that gave the dance the perfect sensuality it needed with the song they had chosen

Lumiere and Plumette totally congratulate them on how hot it was too, and tell them blatantly how they should bang all night to celebrate their win

Gaston gets blushy because they’re completely still taping as the two tell them that, but Lefou smirks, pulling him in for a satisfying, on-screen kiss

GAFOU HC ok so Lefou's been subtly using his songs as a way to drum up respect and devotion to him and Gaston so that if/when they eventually come out or get outed, they are still respected in the village. He also notices Belle's disgust at Gaston, and so sings his latest song that very night at the pub as a way out them both while the village are in high spirits, thus saving Belle from a horrible marriage. Ideally for Lefou, Gaston would have played along, but instead he does a "woah dude no"

Ok since I'm such Gafou trash and I love trading headcanons with you may I please have 5, 6, 13, 18, 23, 24, 31, 35, and 37? (For the headcanon/au thingy) I know that's a lot to ask for but I adore your headcanons!!!❤️

5. Who can’t sleep without the other?

Gaston can’t sleep without Lefou, because ever since they started living together and sleeping in the same bed, Lefou has become part of his sleep schedule, hugging him tight to his body every night. Without him there to snuggle and kiss as they fall asleep, it just feels weird. Also, Gaston gets nightmares sometimes, flashbacks of the war, and Lefou is the only one who can ground him again and help him fall back asleep; without Lefou there, he’ll just get up at 3 AM and wander around the house with coffee until the sun comes up, afraid of falling back asleep, having the same dreams, and waking up with no one to hold him. 

6. Who makes the first move to cuddle?

Lefou. Gaston loves cuddling, but he isn’t always sure how to initiate it, so Lefou unburdens him by making the first move with a nudge or a kiss. 

13. Who sleeps in the other’s lap?

Lefou sleeps in Gaston’s, because he is smol and can fit. (but there are occurrences when Gaston is basically a cat like we discussed where he totally just rests his head in Lefou’s lap and purrs) 

18.Would they take a walk together in the snow?

Yes! Gaston hates the cold, a) because it’s fucking cold and b) because wearing all those layers covers up his magnificent biceps, but Lefou is always so enchanted by the snow, no matter how many times he’s seen it, that they have to take midnight walks, holding hands, in winter, Lefou tugging Gaston’s sleeve whenever the snow starts to fall. Sometimes, Lefou’s lips get so cold and blue while they’re out there that Gaston just has to kiss some warmth into them, which ends in them falling into a snowbank and making out until both of them are frozen

But Lefou’s still bitter about the one time Gaston made him into a snowman for fun then forgot about him…

“It was once!” 

“Once is enough! I couldn’t feel my dick for six hours, asshole!” 

23. Who thinks they are not good enough for the others love? Who’s more afraid of losing the other? Who thinks they keep messing up, only for the other to tell them they don’t need to worry?

Gaston is now hyper-aware of everything he does, and is convinced he doesn’t deserve Lefou’s forgiveness after what he did. He’s trying to be a better person now, even though he frequently slips up and his cruel side flares up- Lefou is helping him work on it, and though Gaston keeps thinking he’s only messing their lives up, Lefou assures him that he’s fine (in my mind, Lefou is super self assured and confident, and he knows Gaston doesn’t really deserve him, but when someone so close to your heart is trying so hard, well…)

Lefou is more afraid of losing Gaston, though, because the fall was such a close call and it got Lefou thinking of how incredibly unfathomable it would be not to have Gaston with him anymore. 

24.Who is embarrassed when they have to wear their glasses and who thinks they look super cute?

Lefou is embarrassed when he has to wear his glasses, because he thinks it contributes even more to his “inferior image” beside his specimen of a boyfriend. Gaston cannot get enough of Lefou in them, though- they make his face look amazing, (not that it didn’t look amazing already) and they make his eyes adorably large. Gaston literally just wants to hug him until he squeals when he wears them, but above all else, they make Lefou look so elegantly studious, and it turns Gaston on beyond belief. 

“You look so smart with them on!” 

“I still don’t know how to spell your name, babe.”

“It’s all in the illusion, Lefou.” 

31. Who is majorly ticklish and who is the tickle-attacker?

Lefou is ticklish, Gaston is the tickle. Like, Gaston is seriously hardcore, man- when he tickles, he tickles. He will randomly tickle Lefou if Lefou is having a bad day, and though Lefou threatens to murder Gaston in cold blood if he doesn’t stop, he secretly looooves it. Gaston, for his part, can’t get enough of Lefou’s giggles. Places Lefou is ticklish? Feet and knees mostly, but sometimes behind the ears.

35.How do they sleep? What position(s) are the comfiest?

They usually fall asleep spooning each other, be it after a night of cuddling, a night of love-making, or just plain exhaustion. But cuddling aside, when they can’t be bothered, Lefou naturally sprawls all his limbs out and takes up fucking ¾ of the bed, snoring loudly and obnoxiously and hogging the covers. Gaston normally sleeps in fetal position, as he learned to do during the war to minimize the space he took up- only reason Lefou didn’t learn this was because in the war he got confined to a tent to himself after his comrades found out he was “different.” (but that’s a whole different war headcanon) 

37. Who wakes the other up so they can be wrapped up in a hug again?

Honestly, both of them do this. Lefou sometimes gets really needy and wants to constantly feel Gaston’s arms around him, but then other times, Gaston just can’t believe he’s scored a man as wonderful as Lefou, and needs to be reminded that his boyfriend isn’t going anywhere through a hug in the middle of the night.

Dang I'm in a need for Gafou cuddles. I need Lefou lightly scratching Gaston's back and Gaston purring. I need Gaston burying his head in Lefou's lap. Gaston laughing lightly while blushing when Lefou scratches to close to his sides. Lefou adoring his cute bf. Lefou jokingly calling Gaston the "the perfect blanket" and Gaston calling Lefou "the perfect back scratcher". Then just being the cutest boyfriends. I need it.

I'm literally squealing at the thought of Lefou being really ticklish and Gaston being a big tickler. Sometimes Gaston will chase Lefou around the house before catching him and tickling him to tears. Gaston surprise hugging Lefou from behind and kisses and nibbles his ears which makes Lefou squeak and giggle adorably. Gaston loves hearing Lefou laugh and Lefou likes having Gaston being playful and gentle with it. And all of this just gives Belle and the servants another reason to coo at them.

It makes Gaston’s day to hear Lefou’s giggling, so he tickles him more often and finds some super ticklish spot on him that wouldn’t be ticklish on anyone else and gahhhh Gaston is in awe cause can his bf get any cuter??? like wtf did he do to deserve this sunshine bby?????

And of course Belle still ships it and Adam is still done with their lovey dovey shit

Aww thanks for saying that I brighten your day! It really means a lot to me! But ahhh another headcanon! Gaston and Lefou having to separate for a week or so bc Lefou's visiting fam or something like that and when they reunite Gaston tackles him and smothers him in kisses and cuddles and Lefou melts bc he loves it when Gaston is affectionate. Then after that settle down, they cuddle by the fire and talk about their week.

Lefou wishes he could take Gaston along, and normally it would be fine cause Lefou’s parents, who live in Provence, know about their relationship and are cool about it (unlike Gaston’s parents who basically told him bye after he came out) but this time, Lefou’s uncle and aunt are visiting too and they’re iffy about homosexuality so they don’t wanna risk anything

Gaston is so sad when Lefou leaves like, he doesn’t know what to do with himself 

No, like he literally doesn’t know what to do

He’s never been left to his own devices like this in their cottage

He’s never cooked his own eggs before someone help this man

He tries to follow the list of instructions Lefou’s left him but he ends up almost lighting the house on fire and falling through the roof 

Stanley comes over to check and see if he’s okay (he’s heard strange gunshots and screams) but Gaston’s super defensive and rude to him, embarrassed that he seems incapable 

Dammit he was a bachelor for years, why was he so helpless now????

He’s kinda bored, so he does what any man would do when bored and alone… ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) but ultimately that just makes him miss Lefou more

By the third day Gaston is very moody and closed off, because that’s how he gets when he feels strong emotion and just ughh he misses his Lefou so baaaaaad

Finally, Gaston!! sees!! Lefou!!

The smol bean is trotting into town on his evil pony with his cart full of luggage and cakes and fresh veggies his parents sent home with him in his cute lil hat and his cute lil curls with a cheery smile, ready to greet his boyfriend

Gaston just leaps over their little gate, charging full force terminator style and sweeping Lefou off his feet 

He doesn’t even care about the scandalized gasp Clothilde utters as he kisses Lefou with all his heart in front of their cottage, because ahhhh he’s back and they’re totally gonna go cuddle by the fire and chat about their week

Gaston’s not gonna mention that time he almost burned the house down either

“Did you remember to feed the bird?” Lefou grins, kissing Gaston’s cheek as they head inside (I’ve got a headcanon that they have had a pet bird Lefou found injured on a hunting trip) 

Gaston’s smile fades. “What bird?”

Gaston being just all around great with kids. He loves playing with them especially when they're ages 2-6 bc they know how to talk and walk by then. A lot of people wouldn't expect him to be so gentle bc he was a war captain and all but whenever he plays with kids his touch and voice becomes so soft and gentle. He loves playing with Chip and Tom and Dick's child (bc I ship Tom/Dick too). And Lefou adores it bc him and Gaston have been talking about children in the future and then they adopt.

I so accept this, like

Gaston is basically such a family man- he wants children of his own, even though he doesn’t readily admit it when Lefou asks, for the sake of keeping it Manly™ 

But Lefou knows how Gaston melts around kids and how good he is with them, how his disposition completely changes from angrily ranting about some deer that got away on their hunting trip to asking Tom and Dick’s kid if he would like help reaching that shiny apple he’s trying to pick (#Tomick for lifeee) 

So one day Lefou asks Gaston over breakfast about kids, and Gaston just submits and nods with a smile 

When they have their adorable fam, it’s everything the two ever wanted and they raise their children together in their cute lil cottage

It's headcanon in my mind that Gaston and Lefou plan to have children but they end up having freaking quadruplets or something. Like the kids all look so much alike but they all have different personalities. Sometimes when they speak they say the same thing at the same time which freaks Gaston and Lefou out. Sometimes Gaston and Lefou can't even tell who is who and they're like "Which one are you again?" And the kids just sigh and state which one they are.

I have so many new headcanons for their familyyyy yess

So they want to adopt one, but when they go to the orphanage in Paris to bring a baby home, they just can’t bear to separate the quadruplets- three sisters and one brother 

“We’re probably going to regret this one day when they’re teenagers, Lefou.”

“Most likely. But now we can enjoy their little smiles and gurgling.” 

But they really are cute- in my mind, their names are:

Adalene, the prettiest, most vain and beauty/fashion-obsessed of the lot and most similar to Gaston

Alexandra, the brainy, witty one (actually a lot like Belle)

Antoinette, not one for gender roles really and is very carefree and playful

Nicolas, the artsy, kinda hapless sensitive one that most resembles Lefou

They’ve all got very fine brown hair, with soft brown eyes, except for Adelene who has crystal blue eyes, (the only way they’re able to tell them apart) 

Their household is now rather loud, but it’s lively and perfect, and Gaston and Lefou couldn’t imagine having one or two or three less than they have 

“Alexandra, would you fetch some butter?” Lefou asks one day. 

“Excuse me, Papa, but… Alexandra is at her lessons.” 

“Aha… ehm… don’t tell me- your eyes are brown, so you must be… Antoinette! Sweetie! Sorry, Papa… Papa totally didn’t have his glasses on…” 

One day, as a prank, the siblings give Antoinette, who has hair down to her waist, a hair cut, and stick it to Nicolas’ head. They literally go an entire day like that with Nicolas dressed up in his sister’s clothes and their homemade wig on until Lefou realizes that “Gaston holy sHIT our daughter cut all her hair off and put it on our son and we didn’t notice!”

“That’s nice Lefou- have you seen my good comb?”  

Omgomg Nicolas realizing he liked wearing the dress and does it more often omg I need some Stanley-Nicolas mentoring here 

Yeah but in regards to not being able to tell the difference, the kids just get fed up one day and embroider their names on their waistcoats/dresses and that’s that

headcanon: Gaston adores Lefou's soft tum ;w;

Awww yess!! He seriously can’t get enough of his boyfriend’s body, and whenever Lefou takes off his shirt in front of Gaston, it takes the hunter’s breath away

Lefou is super shy and insecure about his tum, because Gaston has rock hard abs and all that and it makes him feel inadequate, but Gaston is so taken aback by his appearance that Lefou finds himself blushing under his boyfriend’s admiration

Gaston picks him up, kisses his stomach, and whispers the sweetest things about how perfect he is until Lefou is laughing and batting at him to stop

Gaston’s attentions either lead to a very passionate night, or a very snuggly one💗

OMG I just had another headcanon! Ok so this is how Gaston proposes. Adam and Belle are throwing a ball and they invite Gaston and Lefou. Of course there's dancing, singing, wine, and food. But then Gaston goes on stage and sings "Can't Help Falling In Love" with Cadenza playing the piano and then he does a big speech about how he loves him then asks Lefou to marry him. Lefou of course says yes bc Gaston has really come a long way since the fall and he loves him so much.

Ahh sorry for late answer! 

So so they get the invite in the mail. Lefou’s excited to see Belle again, it’s been a while. Something just clicks in Gaston’s head- this is the perfect time to do it.

So he hides the ring, and wears his best suit, right? He wears his distinguished army captain jacket, with polished boots and ironed pants and he just cleans up really really nice.

The night is filled with laughter, lots of teasing and prodding from the castle’s servants as to when they’re going to finally seal the deal. Gaston tries to go along with the joking, but fiddles with the ring in his pocket nervously as the evening goes on. 

Of course, Lefou is the star of the ballroom, the best dancer there, and the absolute cutest if you ask Gaston, but the music slows down as Gaston gets up there, and just…

“Wise men say… only fools rush in…”

And Cadenza’s there by his side, giving him the encouraging smiles and winks Gaston needs to carry on as he looks over every now and again, and then the two lock eyes. Gaston doesn’t sing often, but his voice is deep and smooth, and Lefou is swooning, eyes wide as he watches his love up there, singing to him. (Meanwhile Lumiere and Plumette are in a puddle of tears watching from the corner and Belle and Adam are having their own private dance on the side with one another to the song.) 

At the end, there’s wild cheering, (+Lumiere and Plumette problematically hurdling bouquets of roses up there at him/Cadenza screaming “bRAVISSIMA” way too passionately) Gaston professes his undying love, and proposes to Lefou– Lefou cries, immediately blurting out a yes and tackling his now-fiance. 

It’s all very romantic, and as everyone returns to drinking and slow dancing into the early hours, Chip yawns and tugs on his mother’s sleeve. 

“What was that all about, mama?” 

Mrs. Potts just smiles knowingly at the happy couple, who are lost in each other’s eyes.

“Time for bed, Chip. I’ll tell you when you’re older.”
