We know they never disappeared from the picture, and I love the idea of her descendants eventually coming back to Westeros to be part of the Velaryon family who would not let go of the opportunity to keep their Valyrian blood pure.

I also believe Saera's grandsons would marry Valyrian women and that they helped overthrow Sharako Lohar, the Bazannes (and therefore saving their descending second cousin-once-removed Viserys) and that they and their children were kept under surveillance later on by Viserys II Targaryen.

° It would be interesting if Aenar's sons are named go by the matronym Saerasson:

- Aerion

- Aemon (after Saera's older brother)

° Gaemon's sons:

- Valerion (after Saera's baby brother who was named after the dragon Balerion)

- Daegor (attempting to honor Saera's older sister Daella)

- Aegon (after the Conqueror)

- Aethan (after Saera's great-grandfather through her grandmother Alyssa Velaryon)

° Maegor's sons:

- Daellor (after Daella again)

- Aelyx (after the Lord of Dragonstone)

Also, it would be great if in another life, the descendants of Saera got reintegrated into the succession line. Like Aerion and Daellor's children as their cousins through Gaemon would be already heirs to Archons of Lys.

Also, by talking about bringing Saera back, imagine if Rhaenyra and Laena adopted Jacaerys, Lucerys and Jolteon as their first three children?

I always see imagines in which Rhaenyra's first three sons were Daemon's or Laena's daughters being Rhaenyra's but hardly ever do I see one of Rhaenyra and Laena having a kid of their own. And Rhaenyra and Laena could adopt a child of their own; three in this case, while also honoring their iconic rebellious grandaunt Saera. 🖤💜

Jacaerys, Lucerys and Jolteon could be Saera's grandsons whom Laena and Rhaenyra adopted (four of the sons of Gaemon Saerasson) and that Laenyra raise them together as a sign of Targaryen and Velaryon unity and to unite their lines, therefore the Iron Throne and Dragonstone go to Jacaerys and Baela; the Driftwood Throne to Lucerys and Rhaena; Joffrey and his bride Jeyne Manderly are prince and princess; Baelon II gets his own fortress in the Crownlands and marries Maris Baratheon; Aegon and Daenaera marry and Viserys and Visenya as well

Modernau where the Targaryens are a mafia but make it a crime comedy:

Baelon lived became head of the Mafia when Jaehaerys croaked, made both Rhaenys and Viserys his co-heirs. Aemon, Alyssa, Aemma, any Targaryen or family member who died in unclear ways, were all killed by the Hightowers who want to supplant the Targaryens as the Boses of the Mafia. Baelon married Daemon to both Laena and Rhaenyra as both girls are his heirs oldest children, and he wants to keep the power in the family(something he believes his father should have done instead of attempting to marry his youngest children off to other families leading to either their deaths ofmr estrangement, when he became boss he called Saera back), betweenthe three of them they have 9 children(Jace, Luke, Baela, Rhaena, Joffrey, Baelon II, Aegon III, Viserys II, and Visenya). After Aemma's death, Viserys still marries Alicent(despite everyone being against it) and still has four children with her.

Since Viserys went against his orders, Baelon removed him and his children from Alicent from the mafia succecion and gave the position of heir to Rhaenyra. When Baelon eventually retires, it's Rhaenys, Laena, and Rhaenyra who are in charge and decide to continue Baelons's plans for the Hightowers.

They begin by destroying all business deals the Hightowers have, bringing their fortune down as they try their best to keep everything afloat. When realizing that with their businesses are being destroyed, they try to find a way to put one of Alicent's children at the helm of the Mafia by marrying either Baela or Jace. Unfortunately(for the Hightowers, that is), Rhaenyra and Laena had anticipated this, so they betrothed Jace and Baela.

But it wouldn't be me if I didn't add a splash of JaceLuke and Baena, so while Jace and Baela are engaged, they both are having a relationship behind everyone's back with their beloved brother/sister(except Laena, Daemon, Laenor, Baelon, and the R's know;they have walked in on them so many times). They make it game to be as affectinate/inappropriate in front of the Hightowers as they can be, Daemon is so proud.

Keeping in mind Laenyra being the mothers of Jace, Luke and Jolt (abbreviation of Jolteon who in this case is the Velaryon name of Joff) what if their first cousin-once-removed Aenar Saerasson is their donor, who goes on later to marry a Celtigar lady.

Like Rhaenyra gives birth to Jace, and Laena to Luke and Jolt and adopting the three of them; Saera would be their godmother and teaches them the art of dealing with their enemies in subtle ways and Aenar would visit them frequently and keep them in his inheritance, and bring them many of his treasures he found on his trips, and the wife of Aenar passes down many of her jewels to them too, and together make trips to Lys, and that eventually Jace, Luke and Jolt inherit the proprieties of Aenar and annex them into House Targaryen.

The difference of Aenar with Gaemon as a biological father is that Gaemon would already have his heir in Volantis and felt that Jace, Luke and Jolt would have more opportunities with Laenyra in Westeros. Whereas Aenar wanted to give his possessions to his kids, and make them the richest people in the world and for them to be as resourceful as Saera.

I also imagine Aenar as the son of a Lyseni magister of dark skin as Martin originally imagined the Valyrians being black. So Aenar is a black valyrian; and so are Jace, Luke and Jolt.
