Dirty Laundry
Request: Yes or No
That lipstick on your collar, well, it ain't my shade of pink
And I can tell by the smell of that perfume, it's like forty dollars too cheap
And there's a little wine stain on the pocket of your white cotton thread
Well, you drink beer and whiskey, boy, and you know I don't drink red
You woke up with a soft yawn, morning rays making you cringe. You sat up, sighing. Gael had left early to have breakfast with Jazmin. You wished he invited you more often when he went to hang with her but you weren't gonna interrupt their sibling bonding time. You stood, glancing at your guitar as you grabbed some staff and headed downstairs to use the bathroom. Once you returned, you changed and grabbed the laundry basket. A frown appeared on your face when you noticed some stainings on a white button up that belonged to Gael. You placed the basket on the bed, picking up the shirt.
"Look at that." You chuckled, looking over the wine stain and lipstick mark. You lifted it up, taking a quick smell. You could still smell cheap perfume. Gael wasn't an avid wine drinker and you didn't drink red wine.
Found it over in the corner
Wadded up on the bedroom floor
You shoulda hid it in the closet
You shoulda burned it, you shoulda lost it
Gael usually wasn't that dumb. Or at least you thought. You tossed the shirt into the basket and left it on the bed once you had snapped a picture of it, arms crossing. You had evidence but you needed more. Plus witnesses. You were surprisingly calm. It was half expected. Gael wasn't really the loyal type and had a wandering eye. You headed downstairs, going towards Malika's room. You could only really trust her. She was honest. Mariana and Sumi gossiped, Davia was shady, Dennis couldn't give two shits, Alice was Alice, Callie liked to lie. You knocked on the door, hearing a 'come in!' and entering.
Now I'ma have to hang you out to dry, dry, dry
Clothespin all your secrets to the line, line, line
Leave 'em blowing in the wind, just say goodbye to you
Malika gave you a grin.
"Hey, how you been?" She asked. Her friends chimed in with soft smiles and 'heys'.
"Fantastic. Can we talk?" You asked. Malika glanced at her friends, going to stand.
"No, no. It's fine. You two were there at the party a few days ago, right?" You asked. They nodded.
"Great. You know Gael?"
"The hot artist?" One asked. You nodded.
"Yeah, we know him."
"Cool.. Was he with someone?" You tilted your head. Malika slowly realized where you were going.
"Oh, shit." She mumbled, pinching the bridge of her nose. Her friends glanced at her.
"Yeah, he and that lawyer girl were dry humping in the middle of the crowd." One answered, nodding.
"Lawyer girl, huh?" You bit your bottom lip, eyes going to Malika who confirmed it with a nod.
"He's my 'boyfriend', just in case you were curious." You licked your lips. The girls gasped and looked at each other while Malika sighed. You turned and headed to Callie's loft, hearing the girls scrambling to get up and follow.
All those midnights sneaking in
I'm late again, oh, I'm so sorry
All the Ajax in the world ain't gonna clean your dirty laundry
You hadn't attended the party, despite it being at the Coterie. You weren't much of a party person so you stayed in bed. Gael spent most of the night downstairs until he entered the loft at around four in the morning, mumblings things as he changed and climbed into bed. It was irritating. If he wanted to go back to her, he could've told you so he wouldn't have wasted your time with him.
If the neighbors get to asking, I won't cover nothin' up
I'll tell 'em every little detail, how you drug me through the mud
You entered the room, looking at Mariana. She blinked, surprised.
"Uhm, what's up?" She asked. You entered the room, looking over at Callie's side. Callie knew about you two. You noticed the lingering stares, the soft sighs, the awkwardness when you spoke to her.
"Does Callie wear perfume?"
"Yeah, pretty sure." Mariana asked, standing and walking to Callie's side of the room. She went through some stuff before taking out a pink bottle and walking back to you. You sprayed it on your wrist and smelled it.
"Yeah, okay." You took a picture before handing it back to her. "Tell your sister that if she wanted Gael, she could've asked."
"What?" Mariana's brows rose. "She's fucking Gael again?"
"Seems like it." You turned and walked past Malika and her friends. You headed back upstairs, looking around the room. You weren't gonna fuck with Gael's art, that would be stooping too low. You opened the closet, grabbing your things and packing them up. Once you had everything that was yours packed, you grabbed Gael's clothes and threw them on the ground. You grabbed two small paint bottles, opening them and squeezing them so the paint got all over his clothes. You decided to add the dirty clothes in as well, also covering them in paint.
I'm gonna string up your old button-down and slide it on the porch
Just in case you get the nerve to come knockin' on my door
Luckily, you didn't live with Gael. You had your own place. Once you were done with your art project, you grabbed your guitar and things before leaving the loft. You headed out, getting an uber to your apartment. You thanked the driver and headed inside, going to your place. You'd ask Malika to tell you Gael's reaction.
Yeah, I'ma have to hang you out to dry, dry, dry
Clothespin all your secrets to the line, line, line
Leave 'em blowing in the wind, just say goodbye to you
All those midnights sneaking in
"I'm late again, oh, I'm so sorry"
All the Ajax in the world ain't gonna clean your dirty laundry
A few hours later, your phone blew up with calls and texts from Gael. He was pissed and confused. You simply sent back the two pictures and added that he should talk to Malika and Mariana. Immediately, the texts shifted from mad to apologetic. You didn't believe his excuses. Gael didn't get drunk easily and was usually able to sober up in some minutes to an hour. If he had actually been too drunk to realize but remembered it enough to apologize and plead with you, he could've told you that morning when he woke up with a headache and kissed you on the cheek.
Found it over in the corner
Wadded up on the bedroom floor
You shoulda hid it in the closet
You shoulda burned it, you shoulda lost it
A part of you had wondered if Gael had left the shirt there and exposed on purpose but it didn't seem like it. The calls and texts seemed too rushed and sincere. You knew the moment Callie got home, the tenants would dislike her even more. Most of the girls, including her sister, talked shit about her behind her back. Gael would probably pick an argument with her that would reveal everything to the others who didn't know. You almost felt bad for her. You weren't very liked yourself. You were blunt and got straight to the point. You wondered if that had anything to do with Gael going off to Callie.
Now I'ma have to hang you out to dry, dry, dry
Clothespin all your secrets to the line, line, line
Leave 'em blowing in the wind, just say goodbye to you
It didn't matter. Gael wasn't a big part of your life. You two had only dated for a few months and you weren't friends with anyone from the Coterie. You didn't plan on visiting or keeping in touch with anyone so you simply blocked his number and blocked the rest of his social media after sending a single, sweet text.
'We're done.'
All those midnights sneaking in
"I'm late again, oh, I'm so sorry"
All the Ajax in the world ain't gonna clean your dirty laundry

Imagine:
Gael joining you, a tenant at The Coterie and an ice skater, at the ice rink
Request: Yes or No
Trust me guys, I have millions of ideas but literally no motivation. This was gonna be a fic but I only had two scenes in mind (if you guys want the fic version, I'll make it.)
Trigger warning: Eating disorder
(Y/N) sighed, entering The Coterie and closing the door behind him. He could hear light chatter as some tenants sat down for dinner. (Y/N) sighed, running a hand through his hair as he walked past them, skates clanging together and diverting their attention onto him.
"Hungry?" Malika asked, holding up a plate. (Y/N) shook his head, heading straight to his room. He sighed, closing the door and putting down his things. He slid his jacket off, draping it over a chair. (Y/N) collapsed on the bed, kicking off his sneakers. His legs ached, his feet were numb, and his stomach rumbled. Ice skating burned plenty of calories, especially when done for hours. (Y/N)'s bad habit of skipping meals didn't help. (Y/N) lifted himself up and looked at the mini fridge that most tenants had. It was mostly used so nobody took anything without asking. He got up, approaching the fridge and opening it.
"Water, energy drinks... Apple." (Y/N) reached in, grabbing the apple and taking a bite out of it. He closed the fridge door, sitting down on his bed. (Y/N) chewed on the apple, hearing the faint and muffled sound of laughter.
(Y/N) left the bathroom, hair dripping from the shower he had taken. He ran a hand through his hair, glancing at the kitchen and making eye contact with Isabella. Her eyes lit up.
"Hey! I made waffles!" She smiled, holding a plate.
"Want some?" She asked. (Y/N) sighed softly, going to the table and taking the plate. He poked at it, taking small pieces. Isabella watched him, gaze flickering between him and the plate.
"I can make something else if you want." Isabella said. (Y/N) shook his head.
"It's fine." (Y/N) mumbled, deciding to take bigger bites. Isabella nodded and peeked into the fridge.
"Want some orange juice? There's cranberry juice, grape juice-"
"Water." (Y/N) cut her off. Isabella nodded, getting some water and handing it to him. (Y/N) finished the two waffles, taking the water bottle and drinking half of it in one go. Isabella hummed, smiling as other tenants began to join them. (Y/N) placed the plate in the sink, heading to the bathroom. He entered one of the stalls, closing the door and crouching down. He stuck two fingers into his mouth until he gagged and vomitted into the toilet. (Y/N) coughed a bit and sighed, opening the door. He paused, making eye contact with Gael. (Y/N) shifted his gaze elsewhere, approaching one of the sinks and turning the water on. He washed his mouth and hands, wiping his mouth as he went to leave.
"You skate, right?" Gael asked. (Y/N) stopped, turning his head and nodding.
"Mind if I join you? I know you practice a lot." Gael watched him. "I could use some inspiration."
"Uhm.. Okay." (Y/N) shrugged. He left the bathroom, going to his room and entering. (Y/N) went to his closet, changing and grabbing his bag. He left his room, heading towards the elevator. Gael jogged after him, entering with him.
(Y/N) glanced at Gael as he skated, noticing him sketching. (Y/N) did a few moves, relaxing as he continued to skate. He went over to Gael.
"Wanna learn?" (Y/N) asked softly. Gael blinked and shrugged. He put his sketchbook away and got a pair of skates. He wobbled to the rink, leaning on the railing. (Y/N) offered his hand, letting Gael take it. (Y/N) took them to the middle, feeling Gael gripping his hip.
"Okay, let's work on your balance." (Y/N) said, avoiding his gaze. They worked on Gael's balance, teaching him how to skate without falling or wobbling. Gael got the hang of it, sharing chuckles and smiles. Gael pulled (Y/N) against his chest, suddenly. (Y/N) swallowed, lifting his head and taking note of the proximity. They paused, staying still. (Y/N) moved back, clearing his throat.
"Let's continue."

Imagine:
Gael providing shelter during a storm
Request: Yes or No
Gael sighed softly, staring at the pouring rain. He could try to bike home but it probably wouldn't end well. He slid off his jacket, holding it over his head with one hand and grabbing the handle of his bike with the other. He started walking, debating ordering an uber but it would probably take too long. Gael noticed someone up ahead walking in the pouring rain. He frowned, catching up to them and offering his jacket. The young man glanced at Gael, visibly shaking and cold.
"I'm f-fine." The man brushed him off. Gael shook his head.
"Don't worry." Gael offered a small smile. The man looked forward again. They walked until they reached The Coterie.
"I'm Gael." Gael stuck his hand out. "(Y/N)."
"I can call you an uber." Gael offered once they entered the building. "I'll pay for it too." Gael took out his phone.
"N-No, it's fine. I was heading to the homeless shelter." (Y/N) rubbed his soaked sleeves. Gael blinked, staring at him.
"Wanna come inside? Take a quick warm shower and have some food?" Gael asked. (Y/N) seemed surprised. Gael motioned to the elevator. (Y/N) wordlessy followed him to it, stepping inside. They stepped out and Gael led y/n to the bathroom.
"I'll be back with some clothes." Gael said. (Y/N) nodded, watching him go. He glanced around, a bit confused. He assumed it was a communal living. Gael returned with some clothes, placing them on one of the sinks.
"I'll go make you some soup." Gael said. (Y/N) quietly stripped and got into the shower, turning on the warm water. He took a shower and stepped out, changing into the oversized clothes. He peeked out of the bathroom, seeing Gael. He walked over, sitting down. Gael shot him a smile, finishing up the soup and placing it down in front of (Y/N).
"You know.. I'm looking for a roommate." Gael watched him start eating.
"What do you think?"

Imagine:
Gael attempting to befriend you through painting
Request: Yes or No
Trigger warning: Talk/mention of suicide and death, thoughts of suicide
(Y/N) stared out at the city, gaze drifting down to the road and sidewalk below. The Coterie was a pretty tall building. (Y/N) placed his hands on the ledge, feeling the small rocks digging into his palms. One slip and he would fall.
"Hope you aren't thinking about it." A sigh of amusement left (Y/N), lifting his head back up.
"Hey, artist." (Y/N) greeted in a flat tone. Gael stood by the ledge, arms resting on it. He watched y/n closely.
"Mind getting off the ledge? Without falling?" Gael cocked a brow, anixety clawing at his heart. (Y/N) looked at him.
"Don't pretend you've never thought about it. Thought about how it would.. Feel... How everyone would react. I don't wanna die." (Y/N) looked forward. "I just don't wanna exist."
"Come paint with me." Gael softened his gaze. (Y/N) looked at him, brows furrowed.
"What?"
"It's good to get your emotions out." Gael shrugged, offering y/n his hand. "Painting is one way to do it."
"If you say so." (Y/N) took his hand, getting off the ledge and following him inside. Gael got a canvas set up, grabbing paints and brushes.
"Let's see what you come up with. I could use a buddy." Gael gave him a small smile, handing him the brush. (Y/N) dipped the brush into one of the paints, raising it to the canvas and beginning to paint. He wasn't sure what he was doing, it was obvious, but he was trying. Gael watched him paint, taking a seat.
"This isn't.. As boring as I expected." (Y/N) mumbled. Gael chuckled, tucking a strand of his hair behind his ear. Hopefully he had befriended his neighbor.

Imagine:
Moving out without telling Gael
Request: Yes or No
Might turn this into a fic
You poured more wine into your cup, looking around the empty room. Your mattress was propped up against the wall, your bags were in the corner. There were two knocks on your door which made you sluggishly walk over.
"Alice, I'm not chan-" You stopped yourself, seeing a familiar cheeky grin. You moved to door slightly so Gael couldn't see your empty room.
"Change what?"
"Change my mind about this tattoo I wanna get." You quickly made up a lie. Gael hummed, nodding.
"Adding another one to your collections?" He questioned. You gave a forced smile. Your relationship with Gael was strange. You were friends with benefits yet whenever you two were drunk, love confessions spilled out from both of you. Which is why knowing he hooked up with the newest 'roomie' hurt. Gael didn't know you were aware of it and it seemed like he had no intention of telling you.
"Are you free tomorrow? I-"
"Oh, no, I'm pretty busy. I have a few clients at the shop and a date." Gael's smile faltered and his brows furrowed slightly.
"Date? I didn't know you were seeing someone."
"Well, it's our first date, but we've been talking over instagram and he's friends with Paloma." You quickly lied, hoping he would believe you.
"We should hang out soon.." He said, the hurt clear as day in his voice. You nodded, closing the door and leaning against it. You sighed deeply, sipping on your wine.
Gael knocked twice on your door, frowning when he didn't hear any shuffling or talking. He wondered if maybe you had your earphones in or were still out. He opened the door, heart dropping as he stared into the empty room. Gael stepped back, walking down the hall and trying to find Alice. Callie sent him a weird look.
"Something wrong?"
"Did you see (Y/N)?"
"Yeah, they said they were moving out. They left today." Callie replied. Gael felt like crying. He knew hooking up with her was a bad idea, especially when he was so close to confessing his feelings to you without needing wine or weed. He went to his room, going through a few papers before finding the address to the tattoo shop you worked at. Gael wanted to fix things. He wanted you back.

Imagine:
Finding out Gael, your boyfriend, has been sleeping with someone else
Request: Yes or No
You gave Alice a smile, entering the complex.
"Gael is in his room." She said before hurrying out to run errands per usual. You chuckled and headed up to the rooftop where Gael's room resided, stepping out and glancing at the pool before looking at the glass doors and stopping. Gael was locked in a heated makeout session with some chick. You quickly turned around and heading downstairs but were stopped by Malika.
"Hey, boo! Haven't seen you in- What's wrong?" She asked, seeing your watering eyes.
"Did you know that Gael was hooking up with someone?"
"What?! Of course not! I would've given him a piece of my mind. I'll go up there and fuck him up." You quickly stopped her, knowing Malika would've definitely fought Gael.
"No, no, no.. I don't want you guys having beef or anything." You said, wiping your tears away. Two years down the drain just like that. You knew Gael was a playboy but you thought he was loyal once he was in a relationship.
"When you fuck with my friend, we always gonna have beef." Malika said, sneering at the thought of Gael hurting you.
"Come, we're gonna confront him."
"Mal, wait!" You sighed, letting her drag you up the stairs and onto the rooftop. Malika quickly thrusted open the doors, letting out a fake laugh as Gael and the chick jumped apart.
"So, we fucking other tenants now?" Malika questioned as Gael's eyes instantly went to you.
"Baby-"
"Baby?" The girl repeated, eyes widening as she looked between the two.
"Scram, Callie, we're trying to have a talk." Malika sneered, watching Callie quickly gather her things and leave. You watched Gael try to come with an excuse before shaking your head.
"Gael, just stop... I knew our relationship was starting to fall apart but I really thought that you wanted to save it. I'm sorry if I stopped you from having fun with others." You shrugged, looking at Malika.
"And, it seems like you want a break up, so, that's exactly what you're getting." Gael opened his mouth to protest but Malika shushed him and grabbed your hands.
"I'll fuck you up if you even come near (Y/N) again, alright?" She barked before grabbing you and leaving the room.

Listen Before I Go
Request: Yes or No
There are gonna be a bunch of different lyrics at the start and end of the fics (mostly from Listen Before I Go lol)
Summary: After getting kicked out by his ex, (Y/N) finds a place to stay at while he looks for his own place. His boss, and best friend, tells him her cousin owns a place with a spare room. (Y/N) moves in and attempts to avoid the other tenants but Gael has other plans.
~
Take me to the rooftop
I wanna see the world when I stop breathing, turning blue
Tell me love is endless, don't be so pretentious
Leave me like you do
You continued to write draw in your notebook, coping the buildings and streets. The mixture of smoke from your cigarette and the music coming from your headphones filled your senses. Callie, a new tenant, watched as you drew quietly. You didn't mind her presence since she didn't bother you or ask too many questions.
"Maybe I'll work up the courage to get a tattoo and go to you." Callie said, finishing her wine. You sent her a smile, glancing at her innocent face. She returned the smile before excusing herself back to her room. You took your cigarette away from your lips, holding it between your middle and index finger. The smoke drifted past your lips and up into the air, the wind taking it away. You began to space out, remembering exactly why you had to live at The Coterie.
"I bought the place! It's my fucking apartment!" Josh screamed. You stared at him in disbelief.
"You're the one who fucking cheated on me and I'm the one being kicked out?!" You shook your head, throwing your hands up.
"You know what? Fuck it, I don't care! I'll gladly leave your ass."
You snapped back to reality when you heard water splashing. You glanced back at the male swimming before focusing on your notebook. You began to shade the drawing, squinting your eyes slightly as you attempted to focus with eyes on your bare back. You could hear the water splashing against the edges and swallowed, dry throat aching.
"You're finally out of your room." You looked away from your paper, looking at the soaking man. You shrugged lightly, looking back at your paper. You used the pencil as a bookmark and closed your notebook.
"How come you never talk to us?" Gael asked. You had been a little dry.
You sighed, returning from a long shift at the shop. You had lots of appointments and some walk-ins.
"Oh! You're finally home! Guys, this is the newest tenant, (Y/N)!" Alice introduced you to the others. Some waved, others smiled, and some simply nodded. A handsome guy approached you.
"I'm Gael." You nodded, glancing at his hand.
"I'm gonna be in my room.. I had a long day." You said quietly, mostly to Alice, before heading to your room. You were still hurting from the sudden breakup.
"I.. I'm just.. Trying to get over stuff." You replied softly, moving away from the bricked wall. You butted out your cigarette, letting it drop to the floor.
"You might not know us well enough, but we're here if you ever need to talk." Gael said softly, eyes holding a comforting shine. You nodded, walking away from him. You headed to your room, entering and closing the door behind you. With a sigh, you collapsed onto your bed, tossing your notebook onto the desk nearby.
You smiled, listening to Paloma rant about a cilent. You chuckled quietly, coloring the drawing from the night before.
"I can't handle some of these people! Like, your man is the one who came asking for a tattoo. If you don't want another bitch touching him, do it yourself!" She huffed. You looked up, hearing two knocks on your slightly open door.
"Hold on, Lo." You said before putting her on pause. Gael gave you a small smile.
"You should smile more often." He said.
"Did you need something?" You asked, continuing to work on your drawing.
"It's time for dinner."
"I'm not hungry, I ate earlier." You glanced up at him. Gael hummed.
"You're gonna have to talk to everyone eventually." You looked at him, standing up and approaching him.
"Yeah, it'll be later rather than sooner. Goodnight, Martinez." You pushed him back slightly before attempting to close your door but Gael pushed against it. You sighed, pulling it back.
"Fine, I'll eat with you then."
"What?" You asked but Gael walked away from you. Before you knew it, Gael returned with a plate. Your lips parted, watching him enter you room and sit at your empty desk. Thankfully you had organized it in the morning. You gave up, knowing he wouldn't budge. You closed the door and went back to your bed, unpausing Paloma.
"Finally, wey! Why'd you pause me?" Paloma asked. You glanced at Gael.
"Can I say hi?" Gael stood up, climbing onto the bed and resting his head on your shoulder.
"Oh? Who's this?"
"Gael, he's a tenant." You said, watching Paloma raise her slitted brows. You nudged Gael off.
"Go eat your food, I don't want the mice in my room." You mumbled. Gael did so, eating his food with a cheeky grin. Paloma hummed, a smug look at her face. You rolled your eyes.
"Didn't you have some bad news, or something?" You asked. Paloma's smugness dropped and was replaced with a frown.
"Yeah... Someone stopped by today.." Your eyes drifted from your paper to her face as you slowly stopped coloring.
"Who?"
"Josh." You licked your lips, inhaling softly. "Oh."
"Yeah.. I told him you moved into a different part of the city, far from where you're at now. He won't be bugging you, I promise." Paloma assured. You nodded, feeling Gael's eyes on you. He silently stood, plate in hand before leaving. Gael returned, sitting on the bed and watching you, deep in thought.
"How many clients do I have tomorrow?" You asked, scratching the nape of your neck, a habit of yours when you were uncomfortable.
"Uh, like about.." Paloma looked away from her phone, the sound of shuffling paper coming from the phone.
"Four cilents.. You'll probably get off early if there aren't any walk-ins." Paloma replied. You hummed before the sound of a baby crying made you flinch. Paloma chuckled, giving you an amused grin.
"Mommy duties, I'll see you tomorrow." She said before hanging up. You smiled gently, turning off your phone and going back to the drawing.
"Cilents? Where do you work at?" Gael asked, moving so he was beside you.
"Tattoo shop." You replied softly, finishing the drawing. Gael hummed, his interest being elsewhere.
"If you don't mind me asking, who's Josh?" Gael asked, voice becoming soft.
"My ex."
"Damn, is he bothering you?" He asked. You shrugged.
"I blocked his number and social media. He's the one who kicked me out anyways." You said, snapping a picture of the finished product and posting it.
"Why are you always so.. Alone? You don't like us?" You remained silent, flipping through your pages. "Or do you think you're better than us?"
"I don't want to get attached to anyone. Especially fuckboys." You looked at him. Gael cocked his head.
"Attached? As in-"
"Thinking I can trust them and then getting backstabbed." You clarified, eyes hardening.
"You talk to Callie-"
"Yeah, cause she spills everything to everyone. I already know her backstory and I didn't even have to ask. I like people like her." You said. Gael straightened up.
"I have-"
"I don't wanna know your life story, Gael. Just like I don't wanna be friends, with you or anyone here. Why bother when everyone's gonna leave eventually?" You looked back down at your paper, saying the last part quietly and to yourself but Gael heard it.
"You'll be a card nut to crack but you'll crack, eventually." He stood up from the bed, giving you a smile as he headed towards your bedroom door and opened it.
"Night, (Y/N)." With that, he closed the door, leaving you in silence.
Sorry can't save me now
Sorry I don't know how
Sorry there's no way out (sorry)

Secrets
Request: Yes or No
“You fall through the trees And you pray with your knees on the ground For the things that you need With your lust and your greed weighing down And you weaken your love And you hold it above your head Success is a song of the heart, not a song of your bed-”
(Y/N) slid off his headphones, eyes flickering between Callie and Gael. Callie blinked, giving a small smile.
“Great, I’m stuck with the lovers.” (Y/N) mumbled, walking to his side of the room. Callie and Gael looked at each other, sighing softly.
“Actually-” “You two aren’t together anymore. Yeah, yeah.. That’s what they all say. It’ll be a matter of time before you’re back to fucking.” (Y/N) rolled his eyes, opening the can of paint. Gael cleared his throat.
“(Y/N) isn’t keen on talking. He takes care of that side and we can take care of this side.” Gael explained. Callie hummed and nodded, looking back at (Y/N). (Y/N) dipped the paint brush into the paint and looked over the wall. With a soft sigh, he slid his headphones back on and began to paint. The song blocked out the chatter coming from the two former fuckbuddies. (Y/N) continued to paint the wall, getting lost in it until he finished. He looked over the paint, wondering what the point was. The tenants barely used the room. It’d probably be turned into a storage room. (Y/N) sighed, pausing his music and sliding off his headphones. He glanced at the time and turned his head when Gael approached him.
“You’re pretty good. Have you painted before?” Gael asked, giving a small smile. (Y/N) blinked, brows furrowing ever so slightly.
“Anyone can paint.” (Y/N) replied. Gael gave a tight lipped smile and nodded, laughing softly.
“Yeah, you’re right.. Though, I can teach you some techniques I’ve learned over the years.” Gael said, reaching for (Y/N)’s hand. “Touch me and I’ll shove this paintbrush so far up your ass, you’ll taste paint for weeks.” (Y/N) threatened, putting the brush down and brushing past him. Gael blinked, watching him walk away.
“He seems nice.” Callie said as the door slammed shut. Gael shrugged, sighing.
“He’s been like that forever. (Y/N) barely interacts with anyone and when he does, he’s cold. Barely any of us know anything about him. He eats in his room, keeps all his things in his room, leaves at night and comes in early in the morning. It’s like... He’s hiding from us.” Gael said, staring at the door.
“Maybe he’s antisocial.. Some people don’t like to socialize or don’t know how to socialize.” Callie pointed out.
“But aren’t you curious about him? Like where he works at? If he’s dating anyone?” Gael looked back at her. Callie raised her brows, her lips pulling into a small grin.
“Do you like him?” Callie asked, ignoring the soft sting of jealousy. Gael shook his head, chuckling. “Are you sure?” Callie tilted her head.
“The only one occupying my thoughts is Elijah.” Gael crossed his arms, smiling. Callie hummed. From the look in her eyes, Gael could tell she didn’t believe him one bit.
(Y/N) rummaged through the kitchen cabinets, something he rarely did. (Y/N) huffed, hearing Gael heading down the stairs. Gael blinked, surprised to see (Y/N).
“Looking for something?” He asked. (Y/N) paused and looked at him, giving a fake smile. “No, I’m actually organizing everything in here. Wanna join?” (Y/N) asked. Gael rolled his eyes, leaning against the counter.
“I was just asking in case I had whatever you need.. No need to be an ass.” Gael watched him. (Y/N) went back to searching.
“If I needed your help, which I don’t and won’t ever need, I would ask.” (Y/N) said, finding the salt and shaking the container. (Y/N) huffed lightly, putting it back. “Not enough, I’m gonna have to go out and buy some.” (Y/N) sighed. Gael furrowed his brows, glancing at a tired looking Davia.
“Why do you need so much salt?” Gael asked.
“Cause I’m collecting.” (Y/N) replied.
“Jesus, can you give one answer without being an ass or being sarcastic?” Gael asked. Davia looked between them.
“This is the most I’ve ever heard edgelord talk, if I’m honest.” Davia mumbled before groaning softly and rubbing her face. “Fuck, I feel like shit.” Davia sighed. (Y/N) looked at her, arms crossing.
“Mentally or physically?” (Y/N) asked. Davia shrugged, sitting at the table and resting her head on her palm. (Y/N) sighed, tapping his foot.
“Want some tea?”
“What type?”
“What type do you want?” (Y/N) cocked a brow, tilting his head. Gael watched them interact, Callie and Mariana sitting at the table.
“What are you? A tea hoarder?” Davia asked. (Y/N) shrugged and started walking away.
“Fine! Fine! Do you have any tea that will help me sleep?” Davia asked, sighing. (Y/N) stopped and looked at her, giving a small nod and continuing to his room.
“Never took him as the tea type.” Mariana mumbled, looking at everyone else. Callie furrowed her brows, looking at her sister.
“Tea type?” She repeated in a questioning tone. Mariana shrugged, glancing at her phone. (Y/N) returned, handing her some tea bags.
“It’s chamomile tea. Take too much and you’ll vomit.” (Y/N) warned. Davia nodded, quietly thanking him and sighing.
“Is anyone gonna make breakfast?” Davia groaned. Mariana and Callie shared a look before getting up and starting to make breakfast. Gael heard someone heading upstairs and turned his head, watching (Y/N).
(Y/N) stepped out, heading over to the concrete railing and sitting. He leaned his back against the wall and stared down at the busy road below, watching the cars and people. He sighed, tilting his head back and shifting his gaze onto the sky.
“Are you coming to Jazmin’s double quince?” (Y/N) turned his head, looking at Gael and furrowing his brows, a slight frown tugging at his lips.
“What?” He crossed his arms, staring at him. “I wasn’t invited.”
“Well, consider yourself invited.” Gael shrugged. (Y/N) looked away from him, a huff leaving him.
“Why? We’re not friends and I’ve never met your sister.” (Y/N) pointed out, fingers drumming against the sleeve of his black jacket. Gael leaned against the concrete, looking at him and sighing.
“We could be friends if you just.. Opened up more.” Gael stared at him. (Y/N) scoffed and shook his head.
“I don’t have anything fancy in my closet.” (Y/N) mumbled, hopping off and stuffing his hands into his pockets, feeling Gael’s eyes burning into his back. (Y/N) headed back downstairs, heading to his loft and entering. He sighed softly, getting some water and watering his plants. He looked at one of his empty shelves.
“I should head over to Diana’s place.. Need some new books.” (Y/N) mumbled, walking to his desk and opening a drawer, making sure the crystals were separated. He closed the drawer and got his phone, leaving his loft and closing the door. (Y/N) walked towards the doors and going to the elevator. He sighed softly, stepping into the elevator and watching the doors close. He heard his phone ding and looked at the message.
Alice K (Landlord?)
What size in pants and shirt are you?
(Y/N)’s brows furrowed, tilting his head as he stared at the words.
Me
What?
Alice K (Landlord?)
Just curious
(Y/N) blinked a few times, stepping out of the elevator. Alice only ever texted him about rent and the toilet paper situation. (Y/N) texted her the sizes, wondering what the hell Alice was up to or who the hell put her up to it. (Y/N) shook his head, walking down the sidewalk and putting on his headphones. He pressed play and put his phone in his pocket.

Amazing! ❤
Gifs aren't mine.
