Stockbridge and the surrounding areas have more fiber optic infrastructure than most cities in Georgia making the city a prime location for technology, medical, financial services, and film & tv sector development and jobs! Up to 10 Gigabyte fiber optic Internet speeds are now available in Stockbridge and other areas in Henry County because we went after fiber starting in 2014 with our Henry Gigabit group! We partnered with Reeshard Scott when dialup speeds were all we had available in Henry County! Today in Stockbridge we have AT&T Fiber, Spectrum Fiber, Xfinity Fiber, TMobile 5G, Verizon 5G, Spectrum 5G, AT&T 5G, and more! When I was elected in 2016 we set the bar high to have every city building connected to fiber optics by 2020! We invited AT&T, Spectrum/Charter, Comcast/XFinity, T-Mobile. and independent providers to city hall to challenge them to provide fiber in Stockbridge and Henry County! Today in Stockbridge we have 10 Gig Internet available to 95% of the city limits and 5G wireless available to 100% of the city limits. Very few cities in is Georgia have more fiber internet options available than Stockbridge. Stockbridge and surrounding areas have faster internet available than most of Georgia! I want to give a special thank you to Professor Daniel Howard from Ga Tech for following through on our discussion at the Cities United Conference by Georgia Municipal Association and working with Comcast/Xfinity on committing to provide fiber to 100% of the 30281 zip code in Stockbridge after I shared our struggle for decent internet in 2017 after his class. Comcast then followed through with a press release promising fiber to Stockbridge and they followed through! AT&T would not be outdone and raced to match Comcast. I have AT&T Fiber Internet and HD TV, I absolutely love it. #Stockbridgega #Stockbridgega #McDonoughga #LocustGroveGa #Hamptonga #henrycountyga #LocustGrovega #StockbridgeAmphitheater #Gacities #Municipal #Stockbridge #attfiber #fiberinternet #spectrumfiber #xfinityfiber #xfinityfiber #tmobile5g #verizon5g #filmandtv #techjobs #Medical #healthandwellness #healthandwellnessjourney #piedmonthenry #atlanta #atl #georgia (at Atlanta, Georgia) https://www.instagram.com/p/CnJdN5EOUe3/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Strategies for Charging Bad Debts
In the previous post, we talked about massive automatic communication software to recover debts, in this case we will talk about 50 tips on how to collect bad debts collected from the best solution providers, government organizations, law firms, credit risk professionals and other leading authorities in their sector. The following tips for charging come from white papers, case studies, articles, presentations, and blog posts to help you and the call center agents working to learn some new strategies to increase your income, with categorized tips that help to find the information you need the most.
Defaulter information
1. Collect the correct delinquent identification information.
When people enroll in public services, they collect information for Armin, O’Conner & Boch Phone Harassment such as a social security number, a copy of the customer's driver's license, a phone number, a place of employment, and contact information for referrals (such as family members). Having this information makes it easier to track debtors and defaulters. In the worst case, you can call referrals if the defaulter has "disappeared". ”- Best Debt Collection Practices, Georgia Municipal Association; Twitter: @gacities
2. Ensure the accuracy of the self-reported delinquent data.
Identities, not data, are the core area of the problem. Government agencies, whether they are from the Department of Revenue, the Department of Labor, the Department of Education, or law enforcement agencies, rely heavily on self-reported data. This information may be full of errors and subject to abuse. Even when defaulters do not intend to pay, it is not uncommon for agencies to have trouble solving multiple data entries in a single identity.
Government agencies may have difficulty recognizing that Jose Pérez, Juan Pérez and David Pérez are the same person due to the dual effects of limited data fusion capabilities and the fact that an individual moves frequently, or has an identity different to each agency. This problem is exacerbated when inaccuracies in self-reported data coexist with the relative infrequence of data collection and sharing by government agencies. If the agencies do not have enough sources reported frequently enough, their identity details will not be accurate. "- Scott M. Straub, Government Debt Recovery: Bad Debt Collection, LexisNexis; Twitter: @LexisNexis
3. Collect debtor data from multiple sources.
Many government entities have a large amount of data that can improve recovery activities. This includes employer data, information from previously received checks, bank account numbers for electronic debit and refund transactions, and driver's license addresses and even utility bills. More recently, the government's recovery functions are also collecting information from social services, as well as professional licenses and motor vehicle departments, among others.
Governments capable of centrally storing data from many different organizations (including autonomous, provincial and municipal governments) have a much more complete view of the debtor. The aggregation of this data in a single account record allows dramatic improvements in the account resolution process and in automated collection management. It also allows debt collectors to determine the location of the debtor, get a true picture of the financial ability to pay, and find the best involuntary collection path if needed.
Extensive data collection is also changing the nature of debtor conversations. As more data on financial resources and employment becomes available, the volume of involuntary collection actions is increasing. Some agencies now use involuntary compliance tools as an early-stage activity rather than a last resort. " - The Next Generation of Government Debt Collection Practices, CGI Group; Twitter: @CGI_Global
4. Obtain as much information about debtors as possible.
Building the fairest and most effective debt collection strategy is a major challenge as most institutions have a limited, account-level view of their debtors and their financial situations. This means that there is no way to understand if your debtors have bad debts with other creditors, whether they are paying them or if they have existing relationships with debt collection agencies (DCA) or debt advisors in particular.
“To develop smarter collection strategies, your business needs access to data from multiple sources, including credit reference agencies, DCAs, and third-party debt advisors and managers (3PDMs). Only by bringing all of this together and taking a "data sharing" approach can you achieve a comprehensive view of your debtors' financial situations and effectively support them through their journey towards financial rehabilitation. "- Maq Khandia, Build Debt fairer and more effective Collection strategy, Experian; Twitter: @Experian

$2.2 million approved to repave Walt Stephens Rd and Mt. Zion Pkwy in Stockbridge!
The City of Stockbridge approved $2.2 million to repave Walt Stephens Rd and a short stretch of Mt. Zion Pkwy in Henry County with new Henry County District 2 Commissioner Neat Robinson scouring Henry County Splost and T-Splost accounts for additional funding to assist as well. Stockbridge District 1 Council Member Lakeisha Gantt who represent the area called on her colleagues to approve the funding for the long overdue repaving and Councilman Elton Alexander second the motion that passed unanimously. The measure passed after revealing available Transportation Splost or T-Splost 1% sales tax funds would be used to move the project forward in the short term after the competitive bidding process is completed. If all goes well the repaving could begin by the end of the year or first quarter of 2024.
Councilwoman Gantt discussed the poor condition of Walt Stephens Rd and Mt. Zion Pkwy that fell into disrepair under former Commissioner Bruce Holmes. Walt Stephens Rd and Mt. Zion Pkwy we’re Henry county maintained roads before being annexed into the city of Stockbridge January 1, 2023. Only 6 months as a city of Stockbridge road Walt Stephens Rd is being repaved. Councilwoman Gantt asked staff to look for available funding. Councilman Elton Alexander actually identified the funding in T-Splost calling the City Manager to look at using $2.8 million from the Reeves Creek Trail Extension. The Reeves Creek Trail Extension will now be completed by the Vista Group in their mixed use protected approved by the city on Flippen Rd at the expense of the developer.
It should be noted former Commissioner Bruce Holmes was in office 12 years and failed to maintain Walt Stephens Rd, Flippen Rd, Speer Rd, Spivey Rd, Hwy 138, and several other county maintained roadways in his former District in the city of Stockbridge. New District 2 Commissioner Neat Robinson will be looking for more funding for Walt Stephens Rd and Mt Zion Pkwy to ensure these projects are fully funded after years of being overlooked by the former Commissioner while he spent $60 million on county projects in the Fairview Rd area near his home including taking $2 million from the Flippen Rd T-Splost sidewalk project and using them to finish Village Park in Ellenwood. Flippen Rd still has no sidewalks as of today. Commissioner Neat Robinson knows Stockbridge and said she wants to work with all of District 2 providing funding equally throughout the district providing Stockbridge residents the support they need from the county that has been lacking for over a decade. We need partners like Commission Robinson and also Chairwoman Carlotta Harrell to maintain the areas the county is responsible for in the city of Stockbridge like Cochran Park!

$750 million in traffic improvements are coming to Henry County under new leadership. Unfortunately past regressive leadership motivated by race intentionally did not a pursue available funding to stop diverse growth from coming to Henry County but we came anyway and we are not going anywhere. Because the funding was secured in the last 5 years many of our projects are years out like 2024-2025. However a new highway from Hudson Bridge Rd to Jonesboro Rd is underway now from Jodeco Rd to Mt. Olive Rd in phase one. Phase two Hudson Bridge Rd to Jodeco starts late fall of this year! It is going to take time to fix the shameful actions of the past under new leadership but securing the funds was step one to improving traffic flow. Billions more in transportation funding is on the table right now in President Biden Infrastructure Bill and new diverse leadership is fighting for every penny. Why, to make up for past leaders not even showing up to Atlanta Regional Commission meetings where funding decisions are made. How as leaders in Henry County do you not show up from when Henry County was one of the fastest growing counties in America. Why, the I’ll fated plan to stop growth putting us a decade behind in transportation and infrastructure intentionally. https://bwcatlantasouth.com/post/681172368197042176/750-million-in-traffic-improvements-are-coming-to We #Stockbridgega #henrycountyga #StockbridgeAmphitheater #Gacities #HenryCounyTraffic #henrycountytransportation #henrycountytransportation https://www.instagram.com/p/Ch0Qc4kvyzN/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Capt. Anderson is history in Stockbridge! Introducing Captain Dr. Karen Anderson, the first female officer in the history of the city of Stockbridge! Dr. Anderson is the Community Relations head for the new department established after nearly 50 years of Henry County providing police service for Stockbridge. She will work with Chief Frank Trammer (pictured right) on establishing the community policing based model the city is seeking beginning July 1st. Dr. Anderson comes to Stockbridge after a 40 year career in law enforcement embracing diversity and inclusion. The goal is to establish the prototype 21st Century, post Social Justice police department model for America. Those efforts were bolstered by having community members with well established credentials that showed up to the meet & greet leaning forward to assist. Chief Trammer said it best, “Policing is not what you do to a community, it is what you do in partnership with the community.” Stockbridge Councilman Elton Alexander (pictured left) held a meet & greet complete with lunch for the new department to introduce the officers to the community. He said, “I want the community to know our officers by name to feel comfortable operating in see something and say something mode increasing public safety with every eye in Stockbridge working to keep us safe with crime skyrocketing all over metro Atlanta.” #Stockbridgega #henrycountyga #Municipal #gacities #stockbridgepolice #stockbridgepolicedepartment #publicsafety (at Stockbridge, Georgia) https://www.instagram.com/p/CcscyKKLDlD/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Henry County's new Commission District Map tries to address growth in the county.
Henry county has a new proposed Commission District map going through the Ga. General Assembly introduced by Senator Emanuel Jones, Democrat and Senator Brian Strickland, Republican as local legislation. Interestingly, if I am reading this map correctly both Commissioner Dee Clemmons and Commissioner Bruce Holmes are now in the new expanded District 2 Henry County Commission District, meaning Commissioner Clemmons currently holds the District 2 seat and will continue to serve until 2024 but Commissioner Bruce Holmes will be unable to run for re-election as he does not live in the new District 5 area.Commissioner Bruce Holmes term will end Dec 31st of 2022. District 5 would now be moved to southwest Henry County encompassing Hampton and unincorporated Henry County. The vacant Henry County District 3 seat would then cover from Ola to Kelleytown. Kelleytown and would no longer be under Commissioner Vivian Thomas as District 4 would then be Stockbridge down to McDonough nearly paralleling I-75. The metro Atlanta area population is surging and projected to be 8.3 million people in 2040 adding 3 million more people than today. The Henry County population is now at 246,900 right now and expected to ballon toas high as 400,000 people if current growth rates continue. Traffic is here to stay even with ¾ of a billion dollars in repairs coming widening almost every road in the county. Right now about 7000 people a year move to Henry county and with almost no available housing more new housing must be built now and going forward. Fact is you cannot stop people from moving here or anywhere in America and we should not want to as America is a free country. Many of the people who lead Henry County in the past tried to stop you from coming here but you came anyway and we are not going anywhere. So why would we try to do to new residents what they tried to do to us, mostly because of race. I as an elected leader in this community will work on preparing for the growth coming in 2040 now unlike the leaders of Henry County in the past who tried to actually stop diverse residents from coming. We will welcome everyone and embrace diversity and inclusion. I wish I had the time to catch you up on updated information about progress under new leadership. In fact $750 million are coming to widen numerous roads including Jonesboro Rd, Rock Quarry, Hwy 42, Hwy 81. Hwy 155, Hwy 20, Fairview Rd, Bill Gardner Pkwy, and Hudson Bridge Rd to Jonesboro Rd Connector Highway. Requirements for upgraded landscaping and mandatory HOAs are in place going forward. We as new leadership had to put those things in place because those before us tried to stop people like you and I from coming. You cannot make the new requirements retroactive so we can only correct what is coming. #traffic #henrycountytraffic #Diversity #Inclusion #atlantapopulation #racism #Stockbridgega #McDonoughga #LocustGroveGa #Hamptonga #henrycountyga #LocustGrovega #Gacities (at Henry County, Georgia)
