The thrill of victory: Young Kepa just won the Juniors Division for the NSSA East Coast Regionals yesterday. This is a pretty dang big deal, and so we say a big hearty congratulations to the lad for a job well done indeed. This board is going strong into it’s sixth season as a mainstay go to slab hunter. It’s seen views from the inside of bending below sea level caverns all over the world. When Jarrah custom ordered this board six years ago, he said to make it strong it’s gonna be for real barrels; he wanted it to last and be able to hold up to beatings. So, in a world where highest output, designed obsolescence, and minimal personal interaction between surfer and designer seem to be a growing focus, we stand outside the mainstream and with the countercultural because we believe in real relationships and building things that both perform and last. We believe authenticity is the new currency and that less is more when it comes to quality, longevity and the greenest way to build a thing...boards built one at a time specifically for the individual surfers’ need. So when we say ‘limited edition custom’, we work hard to protect that tradition that has been our ideal for 27 years.

Stoked surfer reports from the front lines: this just in>> "Todd , perfect board for Teahupoʻo. Thank you. 12'+ Perfection on the barrels. The quad setup was a great choice. The board- 6'5" paddled in with a nice glide and setup. When the wave went vertical it engaged, locked in, dropped in and held the line and engaged the wave. So critical here to have a board that can hold in these conditions and this type of wave - Nailed it. Speed and positioning are critical factors here and the board was able to stall, wait for it to go ballistic, then fire forward and get you to where you had to be, than have the power to pull you out and get you safe. Today's storyboard: Here's Jarrah 'Tutty' Tutton @keepittropical during a Gold Coast swell from a couple weeks back...and the trusty craft: a 6'3" x 18 5/8" x 2 7/16" step-up from the early inception days of the G-4. How early? Five years ago...and still going strong. We built this one for heavy barrels, so it's not made fluffy or superlite, but instead is a poly made with a stock / slightly higher density blank, then wrapped in 4oz. S-glass with carbon running full length over the stringer top and bottom, and slightly wider laps all for a good balance of strength when it's heavy and weight to cut through ribs in the face when there's wind or elements about.
