introducing... the kpop girl group concept compass!!!

in my efforts to survey the masses about what kpop concepts they want to see more of, i've been thinking a lot about kpop concepts and how they all interact and overlap

originally i tried to place groups along one axis, cute to girl crush, but that meant that aespa and blackpink were in almost identical places, so i added the second axis - retro to futuristic. (note: im using retro here to basically mean referencing the past, so this involves y2k closer to the midpoint but still on the retro side, and vintage concepts in the extremes. I know that retro in kpop usually refers to 80s disco but i couldnt think of a better word, so here we are.)

if you can think of a z axis that would improve this more lmk in the reblogs and comments and feel free to add your thoughts on where i put certain groups or where groups i haven't mentioned would fit

ALSO if you can think of a group that does cute futuristic lmk - i feel like a lot of jpop could fit there so @shyreol i defer to your greater wisdom

Hi everyone! I am trying to crowd-source here, if you are an international K-pop fan and have opinions let me know in this Google form. I am creating a game that honors not only K-pop and our ults but also the culture that is being an international fan. What we experience may be different than K-stans but the things we do experience should be celebrated all the same.

how can you be sure that the female idol list thingy is real ?

you can never be 100% sure in these types of situations because you never know what to trust or not, but i'll try to explain it as best as i can.

after the first nth room closed, a lot of new rooms were created - we call this specific one "new nth room" because it's the most popular and most alarming.

all of the p0rn content shared in this room came from AI sites specialized in creating deepfakes. These sites have some sort of archives and an index, in the first you can find the latest content created, in the second you can find the name of groups or girls that appeared in those videos or photos at least once (a sort of collection, if you will), thus creating said list.

if you want to know more about this you can search other articles online (i linked the koreaboo one in my original post because it was the first one i came across while gathering evidence and latest news to make my post) but i'm also pretty sure that rotten mango also made a very detailed video talking about the nth room, so you could try watching it. There should also be a Netflix documentary.
