It isn't like Lucille wanted to do this but she doesn't have a choice but to give in to the request of her dearest friend.

"Come and lets go watch the livestreaming Monza grand prix with me." Her dearest friend, Julia told her.

Lucille knew better, her friend was trying to set her up on a date with a fellow F1 fan.

"Fine but only if you buy the food and drink." She answered her friend with a teasing smile.

"Ugh fine!" Her friend has nothing to say or else Lucille would have backed out.

It was like a dream watching the Ferrari takes the pole and win a race in Italy.

It feel like she is one of the Tifosis in Monza right now, proudly singing the national anthem while waving the color of rosso corsa.

The feeling of 2019 Monza win just being back and repeated again. It was surreal.

Seeing Charles be so happy at the podium, spraying champagne at the crowd below and smiling ear to ear.

Lucille couldn't help but smile too seeing her favorite driver be so happy despite the tragic of his lovelife.

Indeed, he is the Il predestinato they call him.

Dragging that tractor car across the circuit around 53 laps, she applaud both Charles and Carlos for doing well.

It was a win not only to Charles and Ferrari but to the whole Italy and Ferrari fans.

EARLIER (at the middle of the race)

Lucille sits beside Julia in one of the barcade that hosts the livestreaming for Monza grand prix.

Both of the girls anxiously watch the race alongsidw with the fellow fans.

The fans wearing their team favorite merch while Lucille opts for a Ferrari jacket and Julia for a Ferrari cap.

Julia make herself feel like a supportive WAG making Lucille laugh but supports her best friend.

The last lap actions always gets everyone on the edge of their seats.

But

"The Tifosis are roaring him home! And for the second time in his career! Charles Leclerc is the winner of the Italian Grand Prix!"

The whole barcade shouts in joy and jump from their seat to celebrate a meaningful win for Ferrari and for Charles.

Lucille and Julia hugs each other, happy.

"He won!" Lucille said

"He did!" Julia answered

It's been a hot minute...again (inc. Story Updates)

Sooooo, life update because I haven't done one in a while and I recently went to an ATEEZ concert and since then...I've had some revelations. And before anyone continues, this is mostly me putting my thoughts out there like a diary entry, but I felt like anyone who reads my works should probably have a read to (it may be long winded, but bare with me for a moment). The updates about my stories are a bit further down.

Now, I just wanna say first before anything, that concert was fucking great and I had such a fun time. There really is nothing quite like the vibe of a kpop concert and scream-singing songs while waving a lightstick about. There were loads of people there, these two girls beside me letting demonic screams whenever San...well, San-ed. Seonghwa too. And Mingi. Guess I know who their biases are.

I couldn't help comparing it to my first concert, which was BTS' Love Yourself Stadium tour. I remember that time so vividly, as if it was yesterday; me and my cousin going all the way down to London to go see them on a Saturday when I had my finals (GCSEs) going on--with the first being the following Monday. The last tour they did before COVID and the Quarantine Era.

Before anyone says anything, yes having THAT concert as my first ruined me for anything else but no, I'm not comparing the two concerts. They have different vibes of music, different kinds of fanbases, and they're separate bands. This is about me comparing two periods of my life and two versions of myself.

I remember running around half of Wembley stadium during a small break, desperate to buy a lightstick and join in with everyone (thank fuck one of the merch stalls was right next to the entrance to the block I was in for this concert). That day was one of my happiest memories, and it felt eternal yet gone too quickly.

That concert was when I was deep in my kpop era, where I found comfort in it and immersed myself in the memes and fancams and fanfics (for context, I was a third gen kpop stan). It was my safe space when I was younger, and BTS was the group I loved the most--but then there was this shift that started shortly after they released BE and I found myself listening more to ATEEZ (for clarification, I still enjoyed BTS the most, but ATEEZ was damn close second).

Then...somewhere along the way from then, I wasn't immediately clicking on the new MVs when they were released. I slowly stopped watching the youtube compilations of the boys and keeping up with the new jokes and references.

Eventually, my interests just shifted to Hozier and Paris Paloma and Ethel Cain, reading books and watching Critical Role and Dimension 20. I realised whatever kpop I listened to now carries a twinge of nostalgia to it, of a time passed. Clarifying again, I still listen to kpop on occasion--it's just not my preferred poison anymore.

And that really sucks, I'm realising as I type this. Refer back to the girls I mentioned in this concert--I saw myself in them. The young girl who made the references, who died over the performances (when Jungkook showed a sliver of his abs??? omg, I was a GONER), who thrived in that environment. It didn't feel great, realising I've grown up, and I've grown out of it.

I think that's why I've struggled to write fanfic over the past couple of years, my brain knew something that I didn't yet. ATEEZ were one of my favs so this concert felt like a nice bit of closure, a wonderful and magical ending to an equally wonderful and magical chapter of my life. I'm still going to listen to their music--c'mon, it's still good music. I just have come to terms with the fact that it's not my scene anymore.

Who knows, maybe I'll get back into it later on in life. But for now, I move on (it really doesn't help that I'm listening to Tumblr Girls by G-Eazy rn, it's making me more depressed). Whether I finish the fanfics themselves...that we'll have to see. I've had some other ideas as to what I want to write and I find more passion in that so I'll be focusing more on the things that won't make me feel more burnt out. I still miss my One Year Series, and even planned a spin-off with one of the other members but we shall see how I feel about writing it out. As for Stories From Alternate Universes, I also had a lot planned for that and am finding it hard to let go of. She's being built, bit by bit.

I think this is how it feels to fall out of love with someone but still care about them. Like, you were in an intense relationship and everything was--let's be honest, mostly--good but as time went on, it did what it does. You grow, they grow. You just don't grow together, like you're becoming a wild flower and they're becoming a garden flower (don't look too deep into that analogy, I'm not a florist or gardener). The silences grow more and more between you and the romance dies, but the friendship that underpinned it all is still there.

You end things and it's not too bad--whenever you see each other on the streets down the line, you'll have a quick chat, maybe stop for a coffee if you're not busy and reminisce on all the fun times you've had. But you still wave each other goodbye at the end and carry on with your life; maybe they're with someone else who suits them a lot better, and maybe you are too. But you understand that it was a good chapter that had to stay just a chapter in your story.

This is probably very melodramatic (not 'probably', it is). Regardless, I hope I explained how I felt well enough to be understood. This account will still live (barely) and there will be the occasional update or story when I feel like it. But for now, I lay my deep kpop era to sleep--if it reawakens, may I never revert to the level of cringe I used to be. Ameen (or amen, if you prefer, they mean the same thing).

Anywho, 3am ramble over. I have a dissertation draft to write. Goodnight y'all <3

I was just talking to a friend about how much G has gone through in his life. We were trying to figure out what the new album is going to be about, considering the book, The Beautiful and the Damned, is such a tragic story. So she’s like: “It’s probably about stuff he’s gone through in the past.” and we both agreed. Then she sais:

“maybe this is how he lets go of what happened.”

…and that was really beautiful to me. Like I know alot of people use music as therapy and that he does too, especially after hearing Everything Will Be Okay.

That’s when I realized: doing what he loves is helping him grow and move past what he’s going through and making him a better person. And I cant think of anything better. ❤️
