here she is. officially. my beloved fallout 4 oc delilah !!!! first piece done by @zetobii and the second by @leavingautumn13

i dont draw so all art of delilah comes from my dear friends who draw her for me/with their ocs and tell me i can post it OR from commissions. what i can do, however, is write <3 and make playlists and pinterest boards for visuals <3 so prepare urself <3

ok so: her appearance, personality, stats, story, and some fun facts are here under the cut (its a lot fyi ok i just love her so much) pls enjoy

delilah lore (delilore?) be upon ye:

appearance:

24 years old, 5’10”

very fair skinned with bright green eyes and jet black hair

her hair is wavy and flows down to the middle of her back. she has one small braid behind her right ear

covered in freckles, from her nose to her knees. she has a tiny scar above her mouth from a past split lip and a slit in her opposite eyebrow from a past black eye

midriff is heavily discolored from past bruises - the pigmentation never fully went away - and marred with keloid scars from deep cuts from things she refuses to talk about. if her dress has a high enough slit, bruises can peek out near the very tops of her legs

large black kingsnake tattoo wrapping up a her left arm with its head near her shoulder and its tail near/on her hand

she can almost always be found in her wine-colored silk dress that reaches only about mid-thigh, nails manicured and lips painted to match. it has spaghetti straps and is loosely bodycon.

she wears stacks of gold rings (as many as possible, really) and dangly gold snake earrings

the only things she keeps on her person are the dagger and the gun strapped to her thighs under her dress. her gun was a gift from KL-E-0. it is a custom gold-plated, silenced 10mm. lilah named it "Mine"

she's not strong nor has much endurance, but when you're as smart, perceptive, and charismatic as she is, you can charm people into carrying your stuff for you anyway.

her perks are party girl (alcohol/chem resistance), black widow (damage/persuasion against men), night person (higher int at night), and intimidation (pacify, instruct, and force opponents to attack). and deacon's cloak and dagger, of course.

personality:

cold, calculated, distant

cares about very, very few people (and even fewer things) but is fiercely loyal to those people. she's a railroad agent, but only because deacon cares about the cause and she begrudgingly cares about deacon

she and deacon clash. he refused to even vouch for her admission to the railroad. she gets along much better with glory, but she still gets assigned to run jobs with deacon because they keep each other in check and are deadly efficient as a pair (theyre also in love but they keep it a secret from everyone including each other)

she cares about very very few people but it fiercely loyal to those people. she is a railroad agent, but only because deacon cares about the cause and she "begrudgingly" cares about deacon (she cares literally so much do not let her fool u)

her moral compass is not magnetic. right and wrong is whatever she wants it to be. she takes no issue killing people if they wrong her. sexual harassment or subterfuge/targeted deception send marks to the top of her hit list.

her story:

her birth name is allie eden

she is not a sole survivor; she was born into the capital wasteland chapter of the brotherhood of steel. despite sentinel lyons' best efforts, delilah responded far better to scribe training than to combat training

she and arthur maxson were the only two kids in the citadel, and they became fast friends, even after the lyons pride crumbled and maxson was appointed elder.

he appointed her his sentinel, second in command, which she embraced until she saw how terribly the wasteland was faring under his leadership.

she promptly absconded and, because she had been so sheltered until that day, quickly lost herself to chems and alcohol.

months passed in, thanks to all the blackouts, what felt like hours. one night, allie woke up in a warm bed that she did not fall asleep in. a man named dante deangelo had pulled her body from a D.C. gutter and made sure she was safe.

in no time, they fell in love and decided to escape to the commonwealth. they found a small, basement apartment in goodneighbor and allie began tending bar at the third rail.

dante, slowly but surely, became more abusive. he left bruises and deep cuts on her body anywhere her third rail uniform would cover. she stayed, though, because she'd been raised by the brotherhood to believe that love was harsh and painful. to obey without question. to submit to authority.

eventually, she tired of that life and snapped, killing dante before he could leave any more marks on her. something... shifted. maybe it was allie eden who entered their apartment that morning, but it was delilah who left it that night.

KL-E-0, who was quite fond of allie and is far fonder of delilah, fitted her with pistol, Mine.

instead of hiding behind the bar like she had when she was with dante, she began to use it to her advantage. every dusty drifter with full pockets full of caps left her bar empty handed. but it wasnt enough.

she began targeting triggermen, who she knew were peddling chems for... someone in goodneighbor. the moment a man started flirting with her (which she hated), it was like a red dot sight appeared on their foreheads. she'd seduce them, take them back to her apartment, get her caps and chems and information, and the men would never be seen again.

morowski, goodneighbor kingpin, eventually approached her at work about his shrinking pool of chem peddlers. they struck a deal: he would slip her into his operation as his newest arm candy, and she would peddle his chems at her bar.

it worked flawlessly until morowski actually fell in love with her. go figure. unless, of course, that was lilah's plan all along...

while she's still participating in this farce with morowski, she meets drummer boy, who she ends up truly enjoying the company of even despite her general distaste for men. eventually, he convinces her to join the railroad with him

because morowski is in love with delilah, she has no issue squeezing information out of him when deacon asks her to: morowski is an institute informant. lilah quickly, uh, deals with that problem, and the next days, morowski is found dead in his office at the rexford. cause of death: self inflicted gunshot wound. what a tragedy.

because delilah was his "other half," his unofficial widow, she inherited morowski's whole chem operation

now, she happily spends her days directing the triggermen and tending her bar - for fun and for information, at this point, because she certainly doesnt need the caps. when she needs to run for the railroad or her beloved friends need her professional black widow skills, whitechapel charlie is "happy" to cover for her. as happy as he can manage, anyway.

fun facts:

she is terrified of storms, heights, and violent outbursts from people she trusts

her name comes from the bible story of sampson and delilah, where delilah is paid by the government to seduce sampson (a man of god) and tempt him to sin by telling her what gives him his inhuman strength. after three attempts, she is successful. sampson tells her that god gives him his strength through his hair. she then cuts his hair, which ultimately leads to his death. i mean what a bad bitch

she is still deeply unhappy even after she wraps goodneighbor around her finger because she still doesnt know who she is

she's skeptical of maxson's move to the commonwealth. she is very much on the run from him (and the bortherhood as a whole), and ham happily vets drifters for her to ensure theyre not undercover brotherhood before letting them into the bar.

she and maccready arent exactly "friends" but they harbor mutual respect for each other since they spend so much time together. mac had to call her off like a guard dog when winlock and barnes paid him a visit, so shes confident he would do the same if the brotherhood ever came knocking.

me at 6am continuing rewatching krr and more uhhh overanalysis of some dumb shallow frog show have fun reading this mess:

watched ep 16 - 20 so uh notes: ep 16 is when they introduce the human mois based her form off of, cute btw. and there’s this part dororo does some dumb flower metaphor and everyone mostly ignores him but saburo carries with the metaphor like...cute. also mois hobby is studying tectonic plates and thats? cute tbh. not so much the apocalypse bit of it but still, that’s cute. earth science harbinger girl _________ ep 17 was a pool ep that didnt make sense bc theyre like “earthlings use swimsuits to copy our abilities and swim in water” u already saw momoka do synchro swimming with herself in that arbitrary plot bit like 2 eps back? old news. and 2nd part of ep was scary story telling- dororo literally just uses it as an opportunity of overshare and drag keroro for his childhood transgression jnkjkn i love it. he admits to it too “i was just complaining tbh not even participating” jnkjnjknnkjn i love this petty dororo from the beginning or the series instead of the softer dororo, who i also love, but who isn’t reduced to a ~trauma switch joke every fucking cameo. anyway also tho he did that to purposefully lose the round to koyuki, who is an AMAZING storytelling apparently and everyone loved her stories, giroro and dororo cried. fuyuki is also a gr8 storyteller and apparently he’s rly good at math too? love this autistic special interest boy. _________ ep 18! which i dont care for bc it’s that weird one that parallels the “mom hinata gets turned into a high schooler and pretends to be fuyuki” hey also just to reiterate fuyuki is trans and that ep is proof. natsumi is too but again hey. and yeah it’s the ~natsumi turns into a grown up as an excuse to oversexualize her~ bit yeesh. also to tell old man jokes lol. there’s a part where she gets hit on by some beach creeps and she beats them up but one of them doesnt learn his lesson and giroro literally fucking machine guns him LOL. this is me projecting “overprotective uncle trope giroro” not gross canon crushing on a teen giroro. all of my giroro comments are abt headcanoned grr fyi i refuse to acknowledge canon tbh. anyway drr and koyuki are so cute!!! theyre such good friends theyre family. cut to dororo in his cute inner tube got left behind, and koyuki’s like “we should go too” but drr is being all in denial like ‘warriors of peace dont have time to fool around’ and she just plays along like “theyre are tons of dangers at the beach! we can do our job there” she saves his pride while still letting him do what he rly wants to do and have fun theyre so good !!!!!!  dororo and koyuki have the best relationship in the series it is so pure....i love them.

also hey here’s my ted talk on a better way this ep could’ve gone without sexualizing natsumi: aki can go to the beach, she finds the whole concept of the comedy contest super interesting so ofc she joins. natsumi and koyuki could still end up joining for their subplot too if they wanted and it ending up basically the same ig, koyuki and dororo have the same sense of humor ie: bad humor no one finds funny except them they cant even like each others humor i LOVE them so much.

***also random bit but one line saburo had made me consider transcnons and uh okay so: fuyuki’s a slightly nb trans boy, but saburo who grew up w aliens and thus no gender concepts is some kind of trans masc. not trans boy less binary than that but yeah, that’s saburo. an admittance: i actually dont dislike natsumi/saburo which is astounding for me bc i usually dislike anything het just on principle, but i think it’s bc tbh saburo is actually a rly good character even if he’s a bit OP. he’s a genuinely decent guy he’s just chaotic leaning true neutral to kururu’s chaotic neutral. ofc hey, can’t leave koyuki out bc uh, lesbians. but there ws another later ep where all three of these kids eat lunch on the roof together. initially it’s just natsumi and saburo but koyuki buts in and instead of it being the boring “natsumi being disappointed she couldnt spend him alone w her crush” she just openly welcomes koyuki i love that?? also apparently saburo and koyuki are friends in the manga too that’s sweet. but uh my hc / future au: natsumi outgrows her idolatry of saburo, they become Actual Friends, and natsumi goes thru her bisexual crisis / overcomes her internalized homophobia and grows a bit calmer and less dense and all of three of them being earthling squad. that is to say: koyuki and saburo being friends and koyuki blatantly dating natsumi with saburo there, he and natsumi slightly more than friends but mostly just rly close but not quite romo. almost polyamory these kids. that’s the ideal let them grow close and be a cool overpowered earthling squad to combat / hang out with the aliens. that’s cute shit right there.

ANYWAY back to liveblogging comments ep 19, natsumi helps mois put on a yukata and then slaps her ass like...subtle. natsumi is so sweet to all the other girls gold star for respecting women. 2nd ep part, plan to take over the radio and dororo wasnt invited but apparently he and koyuki have bonding time listening to the radio? cute. and he does the ninja thing of throwing and embedding into keroro’s head letters, and his was just once again ragging on keroro LOL "the type of invader i hate, the type that breaks others toys and wont confess, that only calls on his friends when he wants to use them, that forgot all abt and didnt look for his partners" NKNJNK DRAG HIM. _________ ep 20, hetero fuyuki subplot w a cute girl from the deep sea. dororo finally got inluded in a mission planning for once lol, and koyuki is there once more? im not complaining but at this point  think she’s been in more eps than momoka has actually? momoka hasnt appeared for a while huh. okay but this is really a good ep like....actually addressing environmental issues. if i was in fuyuki’s place w a resident of the deep sea in front of me tho i’d probably be like “wow littering is bad, and yeah individuals def should stop doing that bc that’s a big issue but u kno it’s mostly corporations. it’s a shame that not just the rest of humanity but the entier planet has to suffer because of the greed of a very small percentage of people? you kno, big business. corporations, capitalists. theyre the ones pumping toxins into fresh and salt water alike, and the atmosphere. tearing down forests and ruining our arable land. in fact most of the noise pollution in the oceans is because of commercial ships actually did you know?” it’s a good thing i’ll probably never be in fuyuki’s shoes in regards to meeting extraterrestrial / cryptid life bc i would be super irritating to have to listen to. also that fucking megalodon that was straight up gonna eat fuyuki like holy shit?? and mermaid girl saves him...i kinda wanna redesign her but less u kno cutesy anime girl and more deep sea realism. check list: double eyelid, her eyes were blue but also they can apparently glow red too since that’s what the rest of em were doing. def bio-luminescent. when i say redesign tho i dont mean in like the “unnecessary fringe horror way” tho i just mean make her a  bit less moe-typical and just cooler all around. give me cool alien designs stop being such a copout. that one alien ep (ep 11) w those side charas that look like the flatwoods monster and a gray like....wouldve been gr8 if they hadnt been terrible fucking characters in an all around bad episode. also flatwoods monster is a lesbian give me non-humanoid girl aliens u cowards

points abt early series stuff: -giroro was actually mostly serious before delving completely into being a punchline chara lol. i mean he still is early series quite a lot lol but still, less so and still manages to give off a semi-serious vibe still. -natsumi was actually? kinda more chill to a degree early series. still angry always but her reactons to things were a lot less, idk, it gets kindad redundant when 200 eps in she’s still howling abt every little thing bc early series she just goes straight to the “punch keroro until he stops” solution, lol. might be not 100% bc it doesnt get That bad but still, been a while. -early series kururu’s voice seems different? like, line delivery. did he get a diff VA later on? also his laugh hasn’t settle on the ‘kukukuku’ thing...it’s more idk, gravely / staccato ish i guess VA is still experimenting on how to do it. also he’s kinda? harsher lol. like  rly do feel he rounds out later on to a degree, everyoen else kinda grows on him and while he’s still a total ass i think he grows begrudingly fond of his band of idiots he’s friends w. -early series dororo was a lot? both put together but also colder than later series dororo. like, even when dororo’s being nice and doing good he’s kind of, stand offish. he grew softer as the animation got better lol. i really dont kno if this is like...standoffish dororo being a dororo still adjusting to earth and it’s freedom instead of again terrible traumatic assassin life he had previously, and then as he gets softer and also more sensitive towards minor things it’s him finally on the path to healing or what lmao yeah tho i kno this is just me overthinking / trying to give logic and justification to blatantly inconsistent writing and narration but STILL it Could be that deep....give me my sad trauma kid who finally has a place were theyre safe and free to be happy, and act on his morals and be a stubborn bastard and a good friend/roomie they treat like a daughter more or less that doesnt forget abt em and supports em and just yeah. u can tell again im bias, dororo’s a comfort character honestly lol. LAST BIT but i’ve been meaning to say this and just while im on a roll, u ever think abt how kururu and dororo are both in the “traumatized in earl childhood thanks entirely to keroro” boat? and how they basically cope w it in exact opposite ways lmao. like kururu’s just relentlessly an ass who’s always doing his absolute best to give off an air of “doesnt ive a fuck” and in fact rarely does give a fuck at all, and always does his best to push people away both bc he has a superiority complex and thinks everyone’s an imbecile except himself, and also he knows his toxic personality blatantly repulses people and he doesnt wanna deal w the rejection that comes w that bc even then that still would kinda hurt. also he like, blatantly does things to discomfort and mock others simply for his own personal amusement and doesnt respect others boundaries at all, bc again he sorta views others like just ways to pass the time. a very whimsical, free spirited genius type person. go-with-the-flow type with despite the brains seems to not rly have much ambition on his own. meanwhile reversal, dororo is blatantly overlooked 99% of the time even tho he’s quite skilled, tho it’s all skill he gained after uhh a life threatening childhood in relation to keroro lol. hardwork, u kno. and when he is noticed he’s still relatively well-liked tho.  used to be a total wimp, now a stubborn, extremely defined and rigid morals that he values above his own personal worth. a goody-two-shoes who just Cares abt others, highly compassionate and determined and goal-oriented, humble. may or may not have some level of dependency issues in how he later on kinda sticks close to the platoon / keroro again and takes being forgotten worse, etc etc. also kuru used to be blue right? before that weird fucking childhood trauma of being uh....vored by a huge fucking plate of curry or whatever...hey random note but why do gijinka designs of kuru make him white? his main thematic is curry make him darker. tbh i think vitiligo would be good but even tho im making this terrible pages long fucking krr gunso post im not stooping to the level of drawing gijinka’s. bad ocs maybe but no gijinkas, nott that low. BUT YEAH so tbhi rly think kururu kinda...resents dororo to a degree. dororo’s way as well, but i think there’s some level of mutual respect more than that. we dont rly see them interact like, at all thru the series do we? maybe only a few times but the only one i can think of is that one good episode where saburo legit participates in a battle to the death with some silence/poetry alien and kururu blows the entire budget of the month to save him like??!!! a great episode. but yeah dororo like, sorta implies he can understand kururu’s standoffishness to a degree and kuru seems like...begrudgingly thankful and hating owing him but thankful nonetheless. idk! they have a lot of parallels and are def sorta “outcasts” of the main platoon, tho dororo is probably more ‘in” than kuru is being childhood friends w giro and kero. but still ! the parallels and differences and striking and interesting Let Them Interact. back to the resentment thing tho, like. dororo is sorta a loser in kuru’s eyes right? strong sure but mostly a loser, yet even tho he’s forgotten people actually Like him, and also he’s blue and kinda did play a minor part in the whole childhood curry thing keroro caused or whatever. doro’s a stick in the mud but he seems like he has some level of personal fulfillment from being a stick in the mud moralist. seperately again i could make another paragraphs long thing just on saburo and kururu’s relationship bc that is also cute...legit the purest least begrudging friendship kuru’s fucking has.

LONG STORY short tho i think if they interacted a bit more they could actually grow to be decent friends is what im saying. both of them like giroro to different degrees also let doro get kuru to tone down the bullying giro thing lol. i think i had somewhere i was going w this at least vaguely but i forget so oh well. as u can see tho i do enjoy both their characters.

ok so im gonna answer this for my two most fleshed out characters, Ebrath (pronounced eh-brith) my half-elf wizard and Bow Twang my kenku ranger bc i love them both. (i have a third, but his biggest personality trait currently is hes a Dick(TM). he doesnt even have a name)

3) If they were a god which god would they be?

ebrath: god of anarchy? they super hate nobles and the like and take almost any opportunity to steal from them. (can you tell theyre chaotic neutral lmao)

twang: probably protector of the forest and the lost (chaotic good)

5) What does their voice sound like?

ebrath: fuck, dude, i dont know. im v bad at imagining voices, and even worse at doing them. usually i just speak in my own voice (which gets me in trouble bc i make a lot of ooc comments that get construed as ic) but when im really trying, i go for a bit deeper than my own? so i guess that lmao

twang: this is easy actually bc as a kenku twang doesnt have a voice! instead, they can perfectly mimic sounds they hear, so he likes to speak in a mixture of sounds and voices hes heard. also kenkus give themselves sound- names, and his is [sound of arrow leaving the bowstring], which other people interpret as twang

10) What do they think of themself?

ive never thought about this for either of them, frankly.

ebrath: well, theyre proud of their magic ability, being mostly self-taught. they’re sorta uncomfortable with being a half-elf, acutely aware they dont really belong anywhere, so they wear a bandana to cover the tips of their ears. also they low-key think thats why their parents abandoned them (grew up on the streets, no idea what happened to parents but theyres only so many answers)

twang: hes confident in his ability to survive, especially alone in the woods. hes super aware of how rare kenkus are outside of big cities. most people in the wooded villages he protects and the lost people in the woods have never seen a kenku before, and communicating with those people can prove difficult. other than that, tho, he feels good about himself

17) How do they dress?

ebrath: like a peasant, even tho they have more than enough money for better clothes. they grew up a street rat so this is whats most comfortable for them. (last session the entire party stole nobleman’s clothes tho for reasons so who knows)

bow twang: well hes got a chain shirt a local blacksmith gave him for saving the village from an undead horde. he wears dark colored clothes with a hood bc he tends to be sneaky.

19) What would they like their mark in history to be?

ebrath: they didnt go adventuring for some grand reason, but. probably as the person who brings down the corrupt government.

twang: again, he started adventuring just due to wanderlust. probably just as the figure who protected life from the undead
