"No Badou seriously I'm--" his trail of words is cut short by what sounded like a wave of groaning, first it was one, a bullet placed through it's head, Xigbar shivered at the blood.

"--fuck, I haven't seen blood like that since..." then came what looked like a hoard of creatures, monster looking things-- only god knew, "H-Hey kid, think we got a problem..."

Badou was laying so much down and it made Xigbar think for a moment. Which felt like it lasted forever. Why was he getting so emotional…

And then Braig realized this was much more serious than he thought. He didn’t want to flat out tell him he’d come back– no that was too cliché and he’d probably sound like an ass… Which usually was fine in the right context but this time– not so much.

“Hey Badou I’m– it’s okay I’m alive and stuff I was just…” he trailed off, not entirely knowing what to do now. The words felt stale on his tongue.

The shutters come down. Oh, the vulnerable side is still there, bubbling under the surface, but Badou’s trying to build up those walls again, to protect himself. 

“Just don’t be stupid,” he mumbles, turning his back on Xigbar to fire a few bullets into the surrounding area, their soon to be foes.
