We picked up an area rug yesterday and set it up with the two looms. This morning I started moving things over (before the workmen arrived - don’t want to be in the way!). I put up my Star Trek clock and my handmade weaving calendar. My helper was wielding a hammer for just a little bit. (3 small nails, and he did a great job!) Electricity is all wired, baseboards are in, and wiring has been run to the house. It’s supposed to get connected tomorrow. I am now waiting for heddles for both looms, and a shipment of small replacement parts from Macomber. The harnesses on the Millville are as balanced as I can get them for now. I have the green light to start moving things into The Warp Bubble! So far I have the two shelf units that have been up there for a couple of weeks already, and my two wheeled library carts. I love the knots in the wood! We are still waiting on the electrician to connect the power (and internet), and install lights, outlets, and baseboard. One garage door is complete and the other is almost done. So close!! Busy but wonderful day! Started with an hour on my bike with @gozwift, followed by Part 1 (3 hrs) of a lace class with @lacemakerkaren and @thelacemuseum. Field trip today to pick up a few additions for the weaving loft. Three metal shelves, to be mounted flat on the wall for a design area (I may paint them purple) and a good-sized sheet of pegboard, with some hooks. Added two shelving units to the weaving loft today! In other news, hubby said I could order my dream loom, a 16H Leclerc Weavebird (computer dobby), but Camilla Valley Farm isn’t taking any new orders until March 9. ☹️ Patience had never benn my strong suit. Big progress on the garage & weaving room! We have exterior doors (people doors, not car doors yet). The floor upstairs is finished, insulation is in place, electrical inspection has been done (now just needs to be connected in the house). I’m planning where looms will go, where musical instruments will go, shelving for weaving yarn & accessories, and a bookcase. We have a garage floor! The cement workers showed up Tuesday for some prep work, and spent a great deal of time here yesterday pouring, smoothing, and then setting up a heater to help speed curing time (because of our current VERY cold temps!). One guy returned this morning to do some clean-up and answer questions. I should be able to have STAIRS this weekend, and perhaps side doors!
