#funny thing is I’m reading another fic that involves going into Razs mind and I enjoyed that one more

Gonna rant for a sec abt Razs Regretful Realm bc I have… conflicting opinions on the fic ( though it did help me with developing my mental world for Crystal and JT )

No hate to the author though they seem like a cool person I just have opinions

So it kinda felt like a weird thing wish fulfillment fic, I can’t rlly explain it but you know that trope of fics in the pokeani fandom where Ash gets betrayed by his companions/family and then goes to become some badass pokemon champion? This fic had a kinda similar vibe to it.

It also felt kinda angsty for the sake of being angsty

But there’s two things in particular that bugged the fucking shit out of me and it involves the portions involving the whispering rock part of Razs world

The first one being this exchange between Lili, Camper and the Phoebe and Quentin mental figures

Idk it just feels weirdly ooc bc like Phoebe and Quentin were some of the campers who actually was pretty nice to Raz. Ik it’s a mental construct thing but with the context in the fic it just feels weird

The other one was the Crystal and Clem constructs becoming enablers during the boss fight portion of it and oooooh that did not sit right with me esp bc Crystal and Clem were EXTREMELY nice to Raz ( overwhelmingly so and tbh could be a lil forced on Clems end considering how he is but he still seemed to like him ) and Raz was actually the one who was kind of an asshole to the ( ie telling them to shut up during basic braining and telling janitor ford smth among the lines of “ maybe a bear will maul them “ when you go talk to him after rebraining Crystal and Clem )
